Yeah, this whole part is kinda silly - it’s not like Jack *had* to kill his friends because he pretty easily could have just beat them unconscious! What would they have done then if he didn’t kill them? And what sort of great friend kills his friends when he could have just knocked the snot out of them? Plot-Holes are plot-hole-y.
We knew that since the second trailer. They revealed it in the second trailer because people were already figuring it out, the only thing that was hidden by that point was WHY he becomes Chaos in FF 1.
Ive always loved stories like these. It used to be the villains were just some random asshole who popped out and decided to fuck up the world, but its so cool to see who they were before it all-and what the fuck happened that made them this way.

And to the people who say Jack is an edgy dork the man would tear any of these dudes to pieces. They didn't do math in Jack's time, the math they did was subtracting actual living entities off the map, so he had to be a little viscious which people might be out of touch with that.
There's a reason Jack and his crew of maniacs are out of place and it ties in pretty well with how 4 guys in FF1 need all the help they can get to beat Garland and company. Play the game, this party crushes ass.

It's not strange idea, FF games have always had this weird mix tech With some games have future and medieval tech, and even FF13 was mostly sci-fi with some medieval elementals

Since FF1 never expanded on the Lufenians, SoP took creative liberties, but at least they made a point that the only bearers of advanced technology in this universe were the Lufernians. Jack is meant to be like an alien coming down onto a more primitive world. By the time FF1 happens, Jack is clearly 100% adjusted to the world, is devoid of an iphone or modern day clothing, so it still preserves that medieval-ish aspect.
I love how Jack, Ash, Jed, and Sophia wear clothing and have technology that we wear and we own today in a mid-fantasy medieval setting. If you were somehow able to travel back in time to about the 1400s or so while wearing your typical clothing and holding an mp3 player/iPhone in your hand they would have you tied to a stake and set ablaze before you could even say “But it’s just Frank Sinatra!”. Apparently no one is too concerned about the weird-ass clothing these guys wear.
In this part I didn't wanted to fight them, but they forced, haved the dark knight job and using a scythe to fight, i obliterated them one by one when I used lighbringer, ngl it was very sad this part, I really liked them😢
They’re not multiple possible endings per se and more endings to the main game and then the expansions that lead up to the true Warriors of Light defeating Chaos in the original game.

The game is a bit odd and the story makes very little sense at times, and it looks like absolute CRAP on PS4/Xbox One (game looks like you spread Vasoline on your tv screen) but it was pretty fun. I’ve since upgraded to the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions (I bought the game on my Xbox One so the upgrade was free, and I installed it on my PS5 since it’s now on the PlayStation’s version of GamePass, whatever it’s called) and it’s definitely much more enjoyable when you can actually make see the screen! This wasn’t a *great* game and it’s never going to be on most people’s Top Ten Greatest Video Games list, but it’s definitely worth playing. The combat is fun, the different classes and Jobs are enjoyable (especially since you can switch between two of them during combat at will, which really makes combat fun) and the story is pretty fun, despite its tendency to be a bit mind-boggling. If you’re on the fence about giving Stranger of Paradise a try you should do so and it’s pretty cheap now! Every now and then you gotta have a little ‘strange’ in your life, right?

We need to get the flip side of the coin for every final fantasy antagonist, although Clive was basically the villian of ff16, nothing more empowering than taking on the whole world with a nutcase as the main character you play.
I like it, it's dumb and fun. But let's hope they don't consider this canon. I really prefer "Sakaguchi's D&D game cut down to NES" feel without all the muddy weirdness to conflict with the old muddy weirdness of the original. It's cool, but it's cool like good fanfiction. It just confuses the story.
