You can stasis while using Gideon ult. You can use many things. Also truesilver bracelet gives you a shield when you use your ultimate, that gives you CC immunity while the shield remains on you. Quite popular on Gideon.

Small tip playing Gideon. If you can, try to initiate your ult while Blinking up. That way you stay mid air an may avoid Melee attacks and some CC abilities which hitbox can't be aimed up like Grux pull
Also yes, you can enter stasis during your ult
Galaxy Greaves let you ult midair without using your blink or leap. Truesilver gives you cc immunity when you ult.
@@nicholausstevens1262 Truesilver stats are not that good for Gideon despite the Goated Passive. I'd build it only if there is a Riktor in the enemy team because you are the best Target possible for a Riktor Pull if you ult
For reference on timers:
Rivers spawn at 3:00 and spawn every odd minute afterwards (5:00, 7:00, etc.)
Fang at 5:00
Mini prime: 7:00 and is replaced by Orb prime at 20:00 mark

For rivers it's
Green - shield based on hp% (I believe it's 10%)
Black/grey - movement speed buff
Pink - ability bonus damage
Orange - attack speed buff (I believe it's 15-20%, I can't remember)
Fang does the following for how many a team has captured
1 - 50% buffs last longer i.e rivers and prime
2 - out of combat movement speed by 8%
3 - gives a permanent power bonus to the team
Any more is just gold from the kill of fang.
Mini prime gives a 15% damage increase and minion aura buff but for one person
Orb prime gives a power buff, out of combat Regen buff
Hey I’ve been wondering. When you pull buffs out of their camp the ring around it turns red. Is there a consequence for doing this? Like less xp/gold?
@@TheNyster it's not a consequence it's just and aggro timer, so if it goes out completely or the camp goes too far they reset and run to their camp. XP and gold aren't reduced.

Mages are the hardest characters to last hit the first few levels. Autos have this weird delay and travel time that you need to get accustomed to, so don't feel bad about it.

The weird thing is...Gideon wouldn't be anything special in any other MOBA. But the 3D nature of Predecessor makes his kit way more fun than it would be in 2D.

Asked for Gideon gameplay on your Crunch vid and it seems my wish was granted. Like someone else said, its best to ult in the air using your blink or E ability, so you're harder to hit/CC. You popped off tho, love the Predecessor videos.
Can anyone tell me what being “uume” ( I think that’s how it’s spelled) means? I’ve only ever played paragon and pred so I have no knowledge of moba terms

I'm assuming you're referring to "OoM" which usually means out of mana.

I miss the breakdown of each kit. The last few it seems to almost be passed over quickly. Just a thought!
People tend to grab river buffs IMMEDIATELY when they spawn. If you get to a river buff 5 seconds after it spawns in the first 20 minutes, don't be surprised if it's not there. If you want a river buff, you need to be there right when it spawns.
Mast! I think you would like The Fey. IMO she’s a major sleeper pick with insane damage, that I think you would excel at. If not, no worries! Loving the Pred content ❤

Id love to see some Murdock gameplay, his ult is a snipe that goes through walls it's really fun.
I dont know if you know this but there is no "backpedal" penalty. You only slow your own movement when auto-attacking. So you dont have to turn to use CC just learn the map layout and move backwards keeping enemies in view.
The only tweak I can make to your Gideon game play would be the use of the Z axis more when ulting. You should try to portal above and ult a team fight. You'll save yourself and limit yourself from getting CC'd out of your ult. It'll really limit the heros that can stop you to rampage, riktor and narbash.

I used to love watching your videos while I played smite, but I stopped playing smite so I kinda stopped watching you, I recently got into Predecessor and I’m so happy you’re playing this game now
river spawns at 3 minutes then every 2 after that, so 3-5-7-9-11- and so on, your opponent got the buffs, you can see the orbs around them

I'm in the same position as you, I always go like 10+kills and 2 or 3 deaths in basically whatever role. I've had 1 game so far where my whole team was actually good. I like playing carry with twin blast or mid but i feel like i have to play jungle cause if I don't jungle our jungler usually just goes to whatever lane and sits there all game and dies.
As a regular viewer I wouldn't mind a blown up description of items and abilities on screen if possible Shank you

-megacosm
-tainted scepter or truesilver (if other team is cc heavy)
-caustica
-ob. crown
-spellbreaker or timewarp (this one’s really a flex)
Soulbearer for crest
(Save ur active for when u ult.)
Explanation behind build-
-mega is the best bang for ur buck dmg wise, also DOT dmg
-tainted for antiheal/cdr
-caustica for mana regen/pen
-ob. crown for big dmg against tanks
-spellbreaker for mage defense (keep that bubble up) or time warp for cdr (more rocks to throw)
Just a tip, rivers spawn every odd minute!

If youre in range (i.e stood on cliff looking down and lane creep.) Your cursor will be the centre of your AOE abilities for faster casting
MAST IGGY IS A GREAT OFFLANER I recommend upgrading molotov for the first wave then max turret.

is mid diff the biggest diff in this game? The added z axis difficulty to your skill shots and how much your abilities do end game seem like the biggest area where team fights fall apart if you aren't hitting your stuff, if your teams are even at least. I guess there's just a bigger emphasis on playing around your teams CC
Caustica= no mana problems just a heads up. Its a good idea to get second or third item on any or all mages.
U should use soulbearer in comb with ur ult. If u caught 3 or more people u can outheal a lot of damage. So u dont have too leave a Fight in mid of ur ult
Yep thats basic gideon tech to use the Portal as high up as possible then hit Ultimate to stay out of melee range, you NEED True Silver Bracelet for that shield after you pop Ultimate up high to swat the CC's that do reach you. Gideon is a lot better at Ultimate engages than any others.
Glad there is no card system though, I remember a card that made you practically CC immune for a brief period after the Portal (was meant to help escapes) basically just devolved into mid being Gideon portal nuking teams.
I'm more a fan of this Item System than the cards I may actually have to play this now since smite feels more and more stale.
River camps spawn at 3 then every 2 after that. Enemy gideon knew this thats why he "deep warded"
allies can in fact go through your portal if they jump while on it... if enemies do it they get that horrendous slow
Best combo on Gid is to E in the air then ult
Morigesh is an absolute nightmare to play against in mid
All heroes can go through Gideon's portal, you just have to jump while inside it
Mid seems like insanely safe just because the tiny size of the "lane"

Argus is a super fun Mid to play
Predecessor looks so fun, but the art for the items is also so boring and dull. Just a pair of grey boots? Fr? They gotta spice up those icons just a little bit
I'm pretty sure they're doing a complete item overhaul next patch, I'm assuming icons are included in that hopefully

belica mid, max the mana draining drone first and easily win lane because the have no mana the whole time, your welcome mast

Yup, that's a thing since Paragon.
I think what makes it goofy is the fact that characters lean side to side when you strafe, which is not really that normal in real life, lol

@@ObsidianChariot Graphics are significantly worse and sound design is bad. The world doesn't feel alive and in offlane for example the only thing you'll hear in lane is the thwomping sound the melee characters make when hitting. It's almost as quiet as if you were in a space vacuum.

I'll always hate epic games for putting the entire paragon team on their money printer: fortnite and cancelling the game. Even greymane, his ult in pred looks atrocious and you sometimes don't even see what's going on because it has no effects on it.
The way I dislike Gideon. Doesn't even compute into proper words/ expression. If I could burn the code used to create this character I would incinerate it with the deepest hottest flames from hell. Removing the character from existence and every human that knows and doesn't know him from their memory.

Mast your Ults were terrible please ult above the enemy and not in front of them
The river buffs spawn at 3min mark and after that every odd minute ie: 5,7,9etc.
On 7:10 you did a stupid thing ( and 10:05 ), never do that on Gideon. You ulted where you were standing, rookie mistake. Always portal on top of the enemy to ult them, like the enemy Gideon did.
This makes it harder for enemies to hit you or stop your ult etc.
