9.6 and 9.7 excellent scores. Would like to know why you did not give 10. In fact, they did something that the Beatles did not do, thinking of the last part something that in my opinion lifted the song to a new level. A solid 10 from me

One of the things that hits me with Aurora is her creativity. Even when she does covers, she makes them hers. She is so consistent. One other thing is that it pops up old diamonds from her that i havent heard or seen before. And i didnt even mention her voice
It is beyond midnight here. I had my birthday yesterday; for the first time in my life without anyone saying "happy birthday" to my face. (I got some social media ones to be honest). I have been busy getting my mother back from another 10 days in hospital for palliative treatment of cancer.
Tomorrow my sister and the two twins (aged 4 - yay - LEGO and being punks) who think uncle is a superhero and grandmother being a wonder of kindness will come visiting too, so that will be fantastic.
It was really excellent of you to send me a late birthday gift in the form of Aurora outdoing the Beatles tonight by causing the harmonics in the ending with "canon" loops. Now I am ready for my little sister and two awesome kids and my mother tomorrow
Aurora sure knows how to respect the source material. Because it is as calm as the Beatles themselves were being while influenced by the mystics of cultures when a band was made up of the collective geniuses of Paul and John. This rendition is so beautiful and respectful since I can hear it nodding to how Starr would whisp the drums (often in Indian polyrhythmic) and how Harrison would make his guitar go esoteric. (Yes - the year of my birthday is old, so it is OK that my mother is late in life by now).
Happy Easter to you. I am going skiing with two twins on Thursday 😃We are Norwegians after all. Thank you for my birthday celebration too.

This and Famous Blue Raincoat are dramatically Aurora's most heartening delivered performances to date. Thanks guys for this.
She is a guaranteed cure for high blood pressure. And her regular backing singer Silja Sol (pronounced sil-ya) is a star in her own right.
Must admit that I haven't really listened to Aurora til now, but this was enchanting. I've always liked the song, and this was "lovely". I'm going to listen to some more Aurora.

There's something about her style, makeup, hair, facial expressions, and grace here that reminds me of Hisoko from Hunter X Hunter. lol! I've never been a massive Beatles fan so I may have never heard this song before, but I pulled up the Beatles and Bowie versions after the first time listening to this cover and... while there's no need to make a competition of it, I really love Aurora's version. The Beatles and Bowie are almost crass in comparison. Her version just emanates comfort; you know...as Aurora does. Her voice is fantastic, but those harmonies are... bliss... and I like how they're all facing each other. And Magnus standing up and singing across from Silja seems so out of character, but I love it.
It's like a soft warm hug. Love this cover. The Silja chapter is sadly ended and that is a big let down. The harmonies between them is best in modern music. Big 10 for me!!!

Aurora IS a therapy session! Note your observation of her size, yes, having met her, she is small but only a couple of inches below average. Good things come in small packages.

Wow! Her version of this is amazing, lovely, wonderful! Guys, I heard her say in an interview she grows those long bits so she can braid them or tie up top, etc. She likes her hair longer but it bothers her.

Beautiful! Silja’s voice is something else. 😍So beautiful and ethereal. Just stunning and complements Aurora in harmony perfectly. I’ll go 9.8 for this one. If you do her Massive Attack cover, Teardrops, make sure you pick the Like a Version one. It is sooo goood! 👍🙂👍

Hi Faith, yes totally agree on that one, they all blended perfectly.
We have done Teardrops a long time ago and it was not the Like a version one and boy did we get told, so we should give it another try.

Aurora simply makes covers sound better than the originals what a special artist she is so talented I never get tired of listening to her music artist’s like her do not come around that often,head and shoulders above anyone else I saw her last week for the third time and I have no hesitation in saying she is best live performer I’ve ever seen.❤️🍎❤️

So far you've seen AURORA in the controlled studio or music video atmosphere. How about seeing her in the wild. A good quality audience recording of her on a large stage with dancers!

"It's quite a happy song… it's been a while since I've had a joyful song so it feels very nice. It was inspired by something quite sad as I looked at the suicide rates on this planet and apparently 73% of them were men and then I thought, why is that the case? Then I realized, obviously, it must be because of the feeling that you can't talk about your emotions and show that you're in pain because pain is often associated with weakness but you know, here in my world it's not, so the song is inspired by something quite sad but it is also happy because crying can be such a positive experience, especially afterwards when you actually feel a bit lighter. @@BritPopsReact You did Aurora "Teardrop" before but it was her 2020 performance. The 2017 TripleJ one is quite a bit better, so it is fine to do it again 🙂
@@BritPopsReact I think artists usually do 1 cover song and 1 original, at least Aurora did both times: 2017: Teardrop + Warrior 2019: Across The Universe + The Seed.
Did you notice she changed the lyrics at the end? I'm not sure if the first line is "I am" or "Are you" like the 2nd line, it is very hard to hear:

Yes, LOVELY! I now play a song or 2 of hers when I'm pissed or stressed. She is way more soothing, relaxing and calming than my old stand by. You know who I'm talking about, I save Slayer for the big battles when I need to be laser focused and intense. Yes she is lovely. I'm with B1 on the hair issue! It is quirky in a lovely way and suits her fine. Chuey's on his back, spittle hanging off his face.....content.... I will leave him be.

Of my.... You have not seen any of her preformances in Nidarosdomen Cathedral!? The entire concert are insainly good! Only Runaway and Murder song I like slightly better in Nobel Peace Prize concert. Luvly. That was just beautiful, four part harmony at it's best. If ever there was someone for springtime, it's the little Norwegian fairy. As for the hairdo, I would be cautious in trying to figure out what's going on in Aurora's head. If you've ever seen an interview with her it's a hold your breath situation for the interviewer, she is capable of saying anything. Free spirits don't come much freer than Aurora. Bizarre thought, a duet between Aurora and Angelina Jordan. They're both Norwegian, one's a soprano and the other is an alto, one is 5'2", the other is 6'2". They both like to sing barefoot, that's something. Aurora has a concert in Los Angeles on May 19, That's where Angelina is ...

As far as I know, the triple J`s "like a version" is a challenge as they give in the Nrk`s radio P3. It Is to make a cover of a given song during one hour before broadcast. Aurora always nail it

Every Friday morning around 8am
The idea of Like A Version is pretty simple. We invite a musician or band into our studios, tell them to bring their instruments along, stick microphones in front of them and ask them to play one of their own compositions as well as a song they love by someone else.
That's not one hour challenge like P3.
The guest is free to choose what songs they want to perform.

NO! don't you dare touch Aurora's "jellyfishes" HAHAHA, she still has them but there not as thick cos she keeps accidentally chopping bits off when she cuts her hair, yes she cuts her own hair and with a pair of scissors for cutting pizza apparently. as ya do. =o o=

(Aurora, Angelina and Sigrid.) - If you have space for ONE more Norwegian female GREAT singer, then maybe check out Astrid S ? She's more in the regular UK pop charts territory I'd say, and SHOULD be right up your alley so to speak.
