It could amaze how low people expect things at a car boot sale. I know someone had a set of world war 1 binoculars worth about 300 pounds. He asked for 150 pounds and the customer said 1 pound
I’m handing over my £50 pounds right then and there Id hop over everybody like Move please my mums at the front Get to the store / yeah ok here’s my £50 pounds I’ll take the switch please
Ppl who get mad at you for fairly pricing your own items before resale are the same people who get excited when they see something very valuable that the owner doesn’t know they have. They just want an opportunity to feel like they’re getting a one up, or tricking someone. They don’t actually care about getting a deal. They want a steal.
Hey I need a hand. I was selling some stuff at a car bootsale kind of thing today and I didn't really sell anything. I was also selling my hand-made gonk, but only one person bought one. Could you give me some advice
Your asking for advice but haven’t given us anything to advise you with (you’ve given us no context) eg. What were you selling things for? Price matters. Make bundles for cheap. That’s the idea of car boot sales
@@dinorawur I was selling my gonks in sizes; small (£1), medium (£2), large and groups (£3), and my large pair (£4). I might add that I made them in an air dry clay. I think I may have overpriced, but I want to know what others think. Can you pls advise on that?
All of this seems so British lol. I'm Canadian so we don't do boot sales here but cool concept! And I definitely understood the point of the video lol.
The character was shocked that it was so expensive but I was shocked it was so cheap :') Getting a bargain doesn't mean next to free for things that are worth hundreds
Well tbh thats the only way someone will be willing to buy and besides its used nobody's gonna sell it for the original price or even bit lower than original price Cos let's say someone is selling something used for few years and they are selling for 200 pounds and u can get tge same item but for brand new 250 tbh u would go for the brand new i mean its still way too expensive and getting the old one for 200 is quite expensive considering the old one is more prone to getting probs compared to brand new one
@@serhan8047 well it is what it is and it isnt always the case some people would say a bit higher and the customer would eanna buy it low but not tooo low like the girl said like 3 pounds But it could be due to some defects on nintendo switch we dk
Another one of these videos that makes me eternally grateful I’ve never been subjected to the torture of a ‘car boot sale’. It literally seems like hell on earth.
Unfortunately a lot of people think they can get anything for practicallt nothing at car boot sales, its basically why I'll never pay to sell at them anymore.
Reminds me of my grandparents. They still think it’s the time before inflation. Thinking they can show up with a pocket full of coins and make out with a steal.
Those are pretty reasonable prices for things that are in good condition for something that's never been opened you could very easily pay the exact same price if not more that you had when you got it and for Nintendo switch I paid £100 for mine
I've been to yard sales though where they try to sell you something at store price and it is like "It is a yard sale, no one will pay that much" I went to a small store the other day in town and they had antique medicine bottles at $ 8-15 dollars, I was like in my mind these are way over priced, because I can buy them on actual antique stores for $1- $ 8, I know my antiques over $ 8-$10 is over priced unless it is rare, which hers were not.
This is why I just donate shit. On Facebook market place people want it for almost free and for you to deliver it an hour away, at yard sales people get pissy if you won’t sell shit for next to nothing. I’m not going through 4-7 hours of frustration for maybe $100. I’ll do oats or give it away for free and be done with it
As someone who has recently sold half of my household (not very willingly, mind you), I can confirm people are disgusting and extremely cheap when it comes to buying used items. The current price of the same item, the condition - nothing matters. They want it basically for free and will also be a*holes about all of that. This experience made me really disappointed in humanity...😢
When are people gonna realize that bargain =/= low price? I work at a secondhand clothing store and we have some stuff that’s over $100, but it’s still a bargain because it’s still usually close to 70% off retail 😪
Everyone talking about teb switch going for 50 and her being willing to go down, meanwhile i'd absolutely flabbergasted getting a new Yves Saint Laurent perfume bottle in THAT size for a tenner
