    I love any hints on how I can better bond with my Keys. I love some of what it does and the more I learn about it, the more fun it is.

      I had volca keys from launch. Let my friend toy around with it last week... He had no synth knowledge... I was like "how did you get that sound?!?!!"
      Always some surprizes with that little gem!

    This is the one. You worked hard for my patreon support but this video was awesome. If you could do more volca insights this supporter would be most grateful!

    Always love your Keys videos.
    If I may make a small suggestion.
    You can mark the notch on the knobs to make it easier to see.
    I've done this on mine and it would help make it more visible for the camera.

    Damnit! I didn't want a Volca Keys until now... Ugh. Also, sound design is lots of fun.

    Great video, thanks for starting from scratch and explain all the process, really helped me understand the Keys a bit more (as a total noob just having fun with volcas this was extremely usefull)

    What superb timing! KORG is having a sale on Volcas. My Keys should be here any day now. Great lead design...I'll have to put it into practice. Thanks for this one.

    Have the Volca Bass and was pondering adding Keys, but decided to wait for the FM2 instead as it seem like the more upgraded poly Volca. In the meantime, I bit the bullet on the Korg Monologue and, being new to synthesis, was blown away by the how versatile its tone is. Almost makes me want to reconsider the Volca Keys, so I could possibly sequence all the Volcas together and solo with the Monologue.

    Great video! I like that bass sound 👌

  • @Sarahbuildsstepsequencers

    Awesome! This Volca NEEDS an update with effects

      At least a reverb! The delay is nice, but reverb would be killer too.

    • @ChiefExecutiveOrbiter
      @ChiefExecutiveOrbiter Před rokem

      The dirty delay is part of the allure. Love it! Instant VHS

    @grasshoffers Před rokem +1

    I keep trying to record each step on my volca keys, but I cannot stop the steps from doing a glissando between the two steps for different notes. This happens even if playing notes manually are truly separate and do not transition.

    • @FreeBeat
      @FreeBeat  Před rokem

      Sounds like you might have to clear your motion sequencing, hold "func" and press the "M3" key.

    • @grasshoffers
      @grasshoffers Před rokem

      @@FreeBeat thank you, I will try that and report back tkmorrow

    • @grasshoffers
      @grasshoffers Před rokem

      Func + M3 solved it! Thank you. I am not seeing where to understand all the functions and such…so we just have to experiment to learn or is it all about reading the sparse documentation and deriving knowledge? Many thanks!
