    Every time I see volca keys, it seems more and more powerful

      There's honestly a lot you can do with it, especially impressive given its price

    I just got my Keys and your clear way of explaining how to do things with it is already super helpful. Stating where you set the knobs using clock positions is a god send. Thank you.

    Love the Volca series, got Beats and Bass.The sound they can produce on the fly is ridiculous

      Snap. Added the NTS-1 too which opens up a whole world of possibilities.

      Nice! I'd love to get my hands on the bass soon, and the FM, and the drum, and the Sample...oh boy lol

    Thanks for this, I'm off to practice on my Keys. I like the way you demonstrate each step from scratch, at an easy pace and showing the effect of each step to the sound produced. I'd love more like this on any Volca, PO etc. Loved the added "Spooky/ Ghost" apparition reflecting off the ribbon keyboard :-)

      Haha there's always a "face reveal" when I use the Volca Keys. Glad you liked the video, I just try to make each step feel like it truly is part of the overall process. Thanks for watching!

    Had a good laugh when your face was reflected on the key surface, this thing is smooth hahahaha

    Thanks for this video! Just got my Volca Keys a week ago. Lots of fun :) I like this patch a lot in the lower octaves as well.

    I dont know why but i love that the short portamento ignores the attack, making the glide so good when u play it straight after the initial note (which has a high attack)

    • @FreeBeat
      @FreeBeat  Před 3 lety +3

      Yeah the glide on this is what sells it for me, especially combined with that tight delay!

      @@FreeBeat You are doing much better than me. I'm learning most stuff from you😜.
      Will your Behringer be making an appearance any time soon or is that still a site subject?

    Fun sound, nice idea to recreate in one of my soft synths.

    I love it. Great tutorial. A picture of the patch or a list of the settings in the description would be handy so’s not to have to watch the whole thing through again (helps your stats though!). Cheers. Lee

      I gotta get that view time lol. But in the future I'll try to get good pictures of settings on the Volcas.

    Cool! Just tried it and it sounds great, although my version doesn't sound as smooth as yours.

    • @FreeBeat
      @FreeBeat  Před 3 lety +1

      Messing with detune, lfo rate and pitch, and attack will help to smooth it out a little. Thanks for watching!

    Can you chain patterns together on the volca keys or do you need to cue them by hand like the Roland S1

  • @losinsolitos4127

    Hi, how could I connect the volca to a midi controller? Would I need a controller with midi out though? I have an Arturia MINILAB MKII

    • @FreeBeat
      @FreeBeat  Před rokem +1

      Yes, you'd need a controller with MIDI out, so you can connect it to the MIDI in of the Volca.
