Rienzwand | Westliche Zinne | Cima Ovest di Lavaredo | North face | Cassin - Ratti

We had two days free last week. A day before I was at drei Zinnen and saw nobody was on the north faces. So the next day I returned with Philipp.
The idea was to walk in from Rienztal, climb Rienzwand "Spitagoras" VI, 450m with food and sleeping bags. Arrive on the plateau, sleep there, and the next day "Via Cassin" on the north face of Westliche Zinnen.
The weather was nice but quite windy. After the though travers, we crossed the black part on the wall (difficulty IV but running like a river). Under the snow field we met two times rock fall. The first time one of the rocks hit my helmet. The second time went straight behind our back.
We made it to the summit within 8h30. 2h down the normal way. Philipp ran back to get the back bags behind Lange alm, we cought the last bus leaving Auronzo at 18h05.
