Ideally, The pedal would convert all scales to harmonic minor or Diminished.
I could be wrong but I think it's a DOD 250 type pedal. Excellent for pushing a dirty amp!

It's not a tubescreamer; it's a DOD 250 preamp/overdrive
I pair this with the YJM Fury pickups and love the tone, especially the neck pickup. It can be a noisy pedal, but I use a TC Electronic Sentry noise gate, which, when set properly, clamps down hard on the hiss and such and doesn’t mess with the tone. (And, yes, both knobs are at ten. More, indeed, is more! #PlayLoud)

Would‘ve been interesting to see if/how it sounds as a boost in front of an overdriven amp. Especially because its different to a tubescreamer.

they gave me the Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Overdive pedal. But I wondered why if I put it in the fxloop of my amplifier to use it as volume boost, the volume is not increased even if I set it at the maximum level. Is it normal or not? In fact, the sound seems less full, and if I turn the wheel of the level on the left I lower the volume, of course, leaving the distortion to 0. Is it a problem of the pedal or is everything normal? Do you know something about?

its awesome does sound like Malmsteen , he is a little up on himself but that how he is and no one can say he is bad so he has a persona and it did him well

I can't even remember when Malmsteen used actual single coil pickups.

his stratocaster pickups are all "noise cancelling" but still count as a single coil style pickup
I'm new to electric guitar and I want to know why doesn't sound like Yngwie, I mean I know he uses more stuff apart from this to get his particular sound but come on, I was thinking about getting it to sound like him and I see now that this is not enough.. I thought that as it says "Yngwie Malmsteen" on it, it'd make me sound like him.. I don't really understand how pedals work or exactly what they do, I thought this was "programmed" to make my guitar sound exactly like Yngwie's sound as soon as I plug my guitar in it.. What else do I need? Or what exactly do I need to sound like him? Is it worth it for me to buy it if it doesn't sound like I need it to sound?
Yngwie sounds like him because of his playing... you need a Marshall Plexi and a way to make it LOUD, which is almost impossible without a recording studio... you need a strat with his pickups... but most of all you need to be Yngwie... you should practice and find your own tone and sound like YOU!
@@EytschPi42 Thank you.. I thought it was easier, it's not like I want to copy him, but I admire him so much.. That I find playing his music instead of just listening to it, a better way to honor him.

No, you also need the "light speed arpeggio" pedal, the "pedaltone" pick and the "autotwirl" strap. That should get you there.
@@annonuhm617 you left out the spazmo underpants for the induced air kick, it's triggered by the noise gate.

Urite Imwrong They look like singlecoils but they are in fact humbuckers with the coils on top of each other. Seymour Duncan YJM
