Are you getting Pikmin 4 or are you stuck with Zelda until the fall games drop on the Nintendo Switch?
Maybe even get the new Mario, somehow THAT is able to get it RIGHT when Zelda FUCKS up for the last several years...
@@groudonor12yeah I'm glad to have this and mario this year
@@groudonor12i don't get your comment honestly
Pikmin 4 this month and 1 and 2 in September.
When I have money I probably will. I only got to play large portions of pikmin 1&2 back on the game cube, but I think I’ll play 4.
This is actually one of those few titles were it’s actually fun to complete
Yeah I always love games where they actually keep track of everything you need to collect for 100% completion.
@@Wario1382 You’re life is sad isn’t it? Have you even beat the game yet?
@@Wario1382 did you not find any enjoyment in the sage dandori caves or the olimar story at least?
@@Wario1382 bro didn't get past the admittely drawn out tutorial
@@Wario1382 Pikmin 1 was great, Pikmin 2 has the most problems, Pikmin 3 was fine, and Pikmin 4 is still the best by a long shot.
For some reason whenever I see a title like this I assume the rating is gonna be a bad one.

@@Xf3rnaPlaysbrutally has a negative connotation making the video seem like it’s going to be a negative review
It's clickbait, we all thought that
@@b3llydrum not really clickbait
Probably because u are gay
The first Pikmin I’ve bought despite owning every Nintendo console. I got it last night and I stayed up all night playing. It is a lot of fun. The controls are really good too. After this one I will probably go back and play the older ones
P2 got the little brother treatment in multiplayer co-op, and I absolutely hate it
this has been my first Pikmin game and it has been so very enjoyable
Highly recommend getting the other three physical copies in September and November when they drop.
Pikmin 4 is very enjoyable but it doesn’t *feel* like pikmin
Pikmin 4 is a very solid game. I do feel that the lock on mechanic makes it a little too easy since Purple and Ice Pikmin are already so strong. Additionally, I think the enemies should respawn in the overworld.
If the game had a newgame + that allowed some of the features that are only available after 100% completion, that would be pretty cool.
Lastly, night expeditions are a lot of fun. I would love to see an open world pikmin game that forces survival, like building shelter, gathering food, and protecting the shelter at night. I also think it’s weird that the glow pikmin don’t have an onion even though the credit scene in pikmin 1 clearly shows a lime green onion (and an orange onion which we have yet to see)
@@Shyontheinternet99 it’s really upsetting. Like it’s almost kinda sad when the world ends up so empty
no mention of the new currency system and the ability to purchase upgrades to your armor and dog? thats new to this game.
Ima be honest, sparklium is nothing to worry about. The first 2 areas ALONE have enough treasure and corpses to get enough sparklium to COMPLETELY repower your ship. Not just unlock all the areas, enough to COMPLETELY complete the gather energy quest.
7:22 - sudden random music??
I’m a couple hours in and I’m starting to understand why dandori is used so much. It’s super satisfying to get everything organized like a well oiled machine
And that's how you get OCD kids
I do miss having multiple captains available at all times. Oatchi can do most things that a captain can but is still not as useful
edit: nvm I only played the demo. he's super useful in the full game
How is he not as useful? The only real thing I am missing is the ability to throw him/throw your character like you can in the last 2 games although as long as the game is designed with this in mind I don't see it being an issue.
@@durpanda123 He can't throw pikmin
He can actually. Matter of fact he can both throw and pluck
@@nakkipatukka123 Don't you mean pluck?
@@slayerstarx7109 oh I didn't try that with him because I have him with me most of the time
I got my copy today of Pikmin 4......will start playing after I am done with TOTK ❤️
I've been playing totk a bit but I might skip the rest and pick up pikmin 4, looks more fun.
@@ZER0O9 I am playing TOTK and Octopath Traveler 2 .....lol I probably should have finished Octopath Traveler 2 before I started TOTK....ugh.
And I do want to put Pikmin 4 in because I waited so long for that game too. But I know I will get overwhelmed between those 3 games. Hahaha I'm still debating 🤣😂🤦👍
@MerriToon I feel ya, I still got ps2/gamecube/xbox games to play through, just started fable recently, backlogs a pain.
@@ZER0O9 I hear that I never finished Octopath Traveler 1 because I got involved with Pikmin 3, Bravery Default 2, Lost Sphear, and BOTW and Age of Calamity among other games on playstation 4. Plus I'm a hard core Walking Dead fan. I'm just overwhelmed 😂🤣 and definitely got to get on track👌😂
Lol
Lol I'll probably have to erase a few
@@ZER0O9yeah me too!
Pikmin 4 is so relaxing to play and quality of life is incredible
The only thing that annoys me with this pikmin is that, u can only have 3 pikmin types at a time out which really bothered me.. I was hoping yo hsve all my pikmin out st once and really enjoy this so much
A big disappointment for me is how bad the coop is it’s such a downgrade from 3 but other then that it seems like a enjoyable experience
The game is really fun, but the fact that the co-op is the classic little brother pointer mode is terrible
@@micahfurlow2624 yea it’s just like Mario galaxy and I always made my brother so that when my mom forced him to play with me
There was no coop in 3's story at all though
@@Hithere-uz6wdthere was in 3 deluxe
@@BlueDiasDB oh cool
The new addons to the controls I'm not the biggest fan of and I wish their was a advanced settings area where you can customize the controls more
I got mine and going to play it tonight after work
Having played all 3 Pikmin before this one, can honestly say that I’m enjoying 4.
Kinda unfair to not consider the post game since there is a "hard" mode that feels like an awesome free dlc.
So to clarify, there's no hard time limit to complete the game in a certain amount of days or before running out of juice? Is that correct?
Yes that is correct. No story reason for a certain number of days. No threat of lack of food or air. You can spend 30 days in the first area if it takes you that long to do so.
Correct! This is a Pikmin for everyone!
It’s finally here
Hard disagree on the night expeditions, they're literally the best part of the entire game imo
The weakest link, on the other hand, is the mediocre soundtrack compared to previous entries
EDIT: okay NO, something you unlock in the postgame is the best part of the entire game, but I still love the night expeditions!
Yeah no lol
Ooof
Not happy to hear that about the music
Already disliked the first area theme (the "miniboss" theme with the Porquillin was good tho)
The night expeditions feel like a half-baked minigame mode.
@@OriginalGameteer just wait til' you get to Hero's Hideaway, that one made me wish there was a setting to turn the music off
Whoa, audio balance out of whack for a bit there
Is pikmin 4 ok to to jump into if I haven’t played the others?
Yes
If you’re going to play one Pikmin Game play one or three.
No. Pikmin 3 is superior and you won’t be a fan of number 4 if you try the best.
Pikmin 3 and 4 are easy jokes. Just emulate 1 and 2 because the franchise no longer deserves support with the hand holding direction they're going with now
Id do them in release order. 4 is great but going back to an old game after having many quality of life improvements it can be rather jaring when playing the 1st. Aswell i think pikmin 1 as a first experience is the best by. Definetly play 1 first
I would have loved to have more customization options ! Like some cute SD Miis !
I'm gonna grab it, since watching your review.
Oh, won't the grandchild be enchanted by the dog. :)
Are there unlockables? What's the point of collecting stuff besides medals? (Aka a good job sticker :/)
Collecting castaways unlocks new systems and side quests, finding onions gives you new pikmin types or increases the amount you can have with you and finding treasures lets you progress to further areas and gives you more upgrades to buy from the shop
Honestly I enjoyed the time limit in pikmin 3, it felt more challenging.
7:24 ?????
It'll be my first pikmin game so I'm not worried if it's easy I can pick up the others if i really like it
Didnt mention Olimar mode?
Sheesh I can see the pixels on the grass texture 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥💯💯💯🔥🔥
Pikmin was really challenging due to the 30 day limit and the Final Big Boss. Pikmin 2 was challenging due to the dungeons and limiting Pikmin. Pikmin 3 was too easy, but beautifully atmospheric. Pikmin 4 seems almost pointless in its easiness. Its easy off the bat anyway, but they give you the ability to rewind a mistake. Without concequence of difficulty, what exactly is the point.
I played Pikmin 1 for the first time 2 weeks ago. Beat it on day 19. It was SUPER easy I have no idea what you mean
@@kylerqaz22 "Super easy" is probably an overstatement but yeah it really isn't too hard, getting 1 or more ship parts in a day is very doable and the enemies aren't extremely challenging. Even the bulbears are easy as long as you charge their back. I love it, though.
@kylerqaz22 It's the nature of challenge, not necessarily difficulty. Pikmin starting off with a time limit gave you a challenge and after finishing you can challenge yourself to finish quicker. Pikmin 3's fruit collection, though easy to achieve, atleast gave you the incentive to get something done. Pikmin 4 is missing this feeling. And I think that is the thing for me. Pikmin 4 is missing the incentive. Its still a sumptuous game (so far) just missing an element that the other 3 had.
Pikmin 1 is not hard but yes definitely harder than 3, 3 is super easy. So far 4 is definitely harder than 3
Get all the onions then re-examine your stance on its difficulty
I'm not getting it.after playing the demo for 3 deluxe and 4 I'm going to be getting 3

Fun fact : since oligarchs seems to already know Louie well enough, this is probably still after 3 dx, why am I so sure of this? In pikmin 2 dcutseen, it’s said that its was his first mission, and combined with what Olimar sais, I’m almost sure it’s still after 3, why not after 2? Cuz they immediately go back after 2, leading to 3, why then is olimar back on the planet? Who knows, treasure maybe… why is it the fist game s ship? Well olimar did say he was gonna try to buy it back in 2…
12 hours in, this game sucks balls. They took away the fun challenge and difficulty of the other games to cater to infants. The autolock makes the game play more like a QTE than an actual game and the ability to rewind time rewards playing with your brain turned off. Not only that but they took the ability to throw more Pikmin on the things. LIKE THAT WAS THE FUN PART, throwing more Pikmin on an object to make it go back to ur base. Trash game play it if you want a braindead experience
Keep playing, the difficulty seriously ramps up to crazy levels of fun, the game is just that massive. It took me 24hrs to finish the main story. That final cave and boss do NOT dissapoint
@@mrhotsalsa6479 i don't get why It should still be considered a good thing when to access the "fun mode" i have to get beyond the first half of the game. A game should be fun from beginning to end, at least that's what i think, or else i lose interest pretty fast
@@Xf3rnaPlays Oh don't get me wrong, the game is fun and fluid from the very beggining, its very enticing and feels like a joy to play. I was just saying it's not stupid easy either, I find Pikmin fun in it's zen-like object collecting as much as I do finding and killing tough enemy situations.
@@Xf3rnaPlays Most games start off easy and slowly ramp up the difficulty. There are some really challenging bits in the post-game. The trial of the sage leaf is incredibly difficult - it took me multiple tries to barely get bronze in most levels. Getting platinum seems almost impossible in some of them
Played the demo i don't think I'll buy it ... the co op sucks in story mode
This game was never really meant to be co op
It came out today
Yep and we have been playing for a few days :) Not as long game as Zelda allowed for release date review.
@@commonwealthrealm oooooohhhh. Yeah that makes sense. Oops
Pikmin 3 was better cuz the wii u game pad was the truth. But Pikmin 4 is easier and better for kids and I really think kids should play this game
Is the story even 2 player??
It is. But the two player kinda sucks
Think about the multiplayer from galaxy 1 and 2
It's pretty much that
it's hilarious how empress bulblax doesn't give birth anymore and just summons larvae that drop into the arena
did parents complain about the "graphic" content pfff 😂
She still does, what you're thinking is a different empress.
She does do that. She lays out little bulblaxes in the later encounters. Not the first easy encounter.
My only problem is the third area
What about it? Water wraith?
How? It's the best one imo
That is my favourite one. It looks so beautiful and the mechanic with the ebb is awesome
@@Yesterdays.Answers1217 water wraith was lightwork no reaction
@@SiegwardEnjoyer the design is kinda annoying
This “brutally honest” moniker is obnoxious, as is every 1st Nintendo game getting High praise for just showing up.
The forced auto lock is a HUGE problem for this game So is the lack of a hard difficulty I cant believe nintendos laziness and lack of care and respect for people who buy their games also the worst character creator ive ever seen and no settings options in this day all of it is disrespectful they're not smart i thought miyamoto and them were a bit smarter and brains worked more efficiently than what this shows but i was wrong lol
Search up the recent article of Miyamoto explaining why he thinks Pikmin games haven't exploded. He only wants the games to be easier now so more parents will buy the game for their kids now. Apparently the controls were too hard in the earlier ones and he thinks stuff like that turned people away from it. Pikmin is never gonna be good again. Only the first two are worth playing.
@@Wario1382honestly I really liked 3 even if it had a lot of easy moments the game was still fun and you didn't have your hand constantly held
Idk I like the fact that all the 3 games had the common trope of you being alone with your pikmin and nothing more
They basically made the game far easier to cater to an audience it never sold well to
The games still a boring slog and if they couldn't emulate what made the first few great what's the point it'll cater to no one
With Totk it's so critically acclaimed of course it will sell well
I was genuinely excited for pikmin 4 and animal crossing even though it's target is to kids the games have always been great
But regarding this it just feels like I'm expecting too much from it
At least they made HD versions of the old games I'd recommend people play those Instead
Wow so brutal 😒🤡

@@Wario1382 lol you obviously don’t own pikmin 4 or only played the demo, it ramps up in difficulty right after demo stage
The major dealbreaker to me is the lack of Pikmin 3 Deluxe style co-op, it was a wonderful time with my partner. Will not be picking up for that reason :(
That complaint is stupid, pikmin is a one player game
@@mcduck9458 🤣🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ it's all subjective haha

I played Pikmin 1&2 a month ago and it was a lot of fun.... Pikmin 4 on the other hand, not really.... It doesn't feel like Pikmin to me anymore.... I'm in the middle of the game (I think) and haven't had any fun yet.... I don't think I'll finish it....
Where are you?
It's because they sucked the lifeblood out of the game, the challenge 🥹🫡
This makes me curious, is it one big problem or is it a bunch of little problems?
Anyone who feels similar, please elaborate.
@@micahfurlow2624 like the game and dislike it at the same time. hate how we have to find olmair for like 14 hours then we have to find louie so we can fix the dog which in my opinion i dont really like him..

Pikmin 4 absolutely sucks!

@@Xf3rnaPlays
Dialog constantly interrupts game play, there is a cap on the number of Pikmin per type you can take out, there is no day or ration limit, the enemies are far to easy, the coop is all but useless, the camera angling is obnoxious, you can just undo mistakes with rewind, the graphics seemed better in three and the levels are far less complex, and much much more.
@@muhdudebrigins7725At least half of the things you said are only true for the first area

We get it, tge co-op is bad, but does that really make the game terrible
@@AlonzoTompkinsSounds like you only like games like Pikmin 3 and 4 that pathetically hold your hand non stop. They put a cap on Pikmin you can take out to artificially lengthen the game with more backtracking too. Yeah great designed game.
I tried the demo and the game was very boring and basic. Clearly made for little kids.
😝
You clearly haven't played any other pikmin game.
I do not agree, but even if the game was made for children is that automatically a bad thing?

Pikmin is one of my favorite franchises, and this is my favorite entry by a mile. I genuinely think it is THAT good. Can't recommend it enough.
Your favorite because it holds your hand non stop.
@@Wario1382 I mean in the beginning yeah it does, but it gets a lot more freeing once you start getting into it. Oatchi is a bit op so I get if you don’t like him, but I personally thought it was fine since he basically replaced the other captains. Also some parts of the game are definitely pretty easy, but I think it is pretty well balanced with some actually pretty difficult segments. It also feels very rewarding to unlock everything.
