    I started using cash more, I'm beginning to have a different view on money when I have cash on me, I'm forced to not dip into my bank account. I also just think it's more satisfying to hold physical money, the only digital bills In should be paying are my mortgage and utilities.

      Yes, paying cash definitely feels better and it makes you think about what you are doing rather than just swiping a card. Feel free to share the video on ALL your social media to spread the message.

    I noticed during the pandemic, cafe's saying we don't accept cash, card only.....
    There is a big push for digital currencies, if you think about it they could decide what you can and can't spend your own money on with the push of a button....

    • @MikesManCave
      @MikesManCave  Před rokem +7

      100% correct, this is only the first video on this and related topics, there will be more to come. Cafe's were told not to accept cash by the Government (Services NSW where I live), blaming health reasons, basically scaring people into it. As a business owner I get these emails from Services NSW on a regular basis. Look up the Canadian Truckers Convoy for freedom, they had their bank accounts frozen and were starved out by the Canadian Government. Don't forget to share the video far and wide, every person needs to see this. 👍

    It's a very good breakdown and the importance of keeping cash alive.
    But my question is.
    When I purchase in my local shop, I give them 50 cash. But their supplier in most cases will invoice you for your orders and with this, you are back to bank transfer. In turn charges. Although the breakdown in explanation makes perfect sense. When it comes to reality

    What you should really talk about is income and vats taxes 😂😂, interchange fees really don't cause too much harm and most large vendors aren't paying a crazy amount on them. I'm not sure how Australia works fee wise but if it's the US fee schedule it's a max of 3%

    • @MikesManCave
      @MikesManCave  Před rokem +2

      Tax goes to the government to run schools, hospitals, roads, military etc etc. bank fees go to private organisations for personal profit. Two very different things. Some tax money may be used inappropriately. Bank fees in a digital world are charged on every transaction, every cent you spend, every coffee you buy.

      Exactly right. Once the alternative is gone what will stop them charging 10% or even 20%? Pretty much like Supercheap Auto and Bunnings hiked up their prices since they have driven most independent retailers out of business. Supercheap Auto is now more expensive than independent retailers if there is any left. Our local Supercheap is now selling spray cans for over $30 each, they were $12 to $15 a few weeks ago.

      That is how they get you, before long it will be gone and then people wonder what happened. Remember service stations? They used to fill your car, check and adjust your tyre pressure, check and top up your oil, wiper washer reservoir and clean your windscreen and petrol was 29 cents a litre. Now we get nothing. We are being trained like monkeys.

      @@suave-rider Disconnected sewerage and water about 9 years ago, never looked back, three years ago finally set up my off grid power system complete with back up generators so no more power bills, no sewerage rates, no water bills, no utilities bills at all, it's great. Never had to use the generator yet, but it's there if I need it. Full veggie garden fruit trees, nut trees enough so I don't buy veggies etc and actually make some nice $$ selling them as well. Never really thought about milk as I am not a baby cow, so I don't really drink it.
