      @@yeseloraelsama8949 nah, kobe's level of obsession reached true insanity. Kobe had the competitiveness of Jordan, but his heart and soul was truly committed to the game. Jordan would golf, play baseball, gamble, etc. All just because he was competitive. But Almost everything kobe did had basketball in mind, some way to give him an edge. His insane daily regimen is the stuff of legend. played soccer to improve his footwork. He knew italian, so he used that base to learn other languages like Spanish to understand and communicate to his international players (like Pau), he retired and won an Oscar reminiscing on his history and love of basketball. Your favorite player has a story of how kobe made them question "how much do I really want this?". He truly was the mad scientist of the NBA. An insane artist.

Go watch some of those games and see his impact. I am a Lakers fan and love Kobe but I am also a big believer in this Luka kid. Kobe played a local high school (Cathedral Prep) in my area for the PA State Title his senior year of HS. Everyone knew who he was of course and where he was going to be drafted etc. They triple teamed him, at least, every play. It worked for a little while, the first half Kobe actually struggled. In the 2nd half, still god damn triple teamed, this dude took over and Kobe’s team obviously won (it was still kinda close Tbh). The Prep team’s fans called him overrated and people watching at home who didn’t realize he was triple teamed thought he wouldn’t be all that and little did everyone know within a couple years they’d all feel real stupid. Kobe was ultra athletic, skilled and professional at such a young age like lebron but situation is what had kobe wait on the bench rather than given the keys to the team. All nba 3rd team first year as a starter should say it all and then all defensive and nba year after year.
    Personally believe if lebron got drafted to a team with van exel and Eddie Jones with a coach who didn’t believe in 18 year olds should be in the nba, he wouldn’t start either.

    People that say Kobe is a MJ clone really don’t appreciate how he used it as a template and made his own game from it. Sorry he’s the closest thing yes but if you really watched him and not just media and hater narratives….he played differently from mike completely. He just mastered his moves so on paper you just accept the talking points.

    The one thing I always hated about how people view Kobe is that he was the closest thing to Jordan. They sum up his entire career, skillet, and individual personality as "almost Jordan." And that's just not the only thing Kobe was. Kobe modelled his game after Jordan yes (I mean who wouldn't) but he also did so many things differently. The way he spoke came from a competitive standpoint, like Jordan sure, but also from an intelligent standpoint that I don't think anyone in nba history comes close to. I believe Kobe was an actual genius, and nit just "basketball IQ," I'm talking actual genius scientist-level thinker. The way he spoke, the way he carried himself, especially in his later years, you can tell he was just different.

Pretty much, Kobe Bean Bryant is the greatest nba player that ever lived. And even Jordan knows that. He'll never admit it though. • @BlackRoyalty_
      @BlackRoyalty_ Před 2 lety

      Probably because Kobe outshined his father by miles. Usually it's the father who is much better than the son but in Kobe's case he outshined his father before he stepped into the NBA. Joe Bryant lives in his son's shadow and that's the weirdest thing you can think of but Joe Bryant made Kobe great by working with him as a toddler. Joe just wasn't that great on the court as his son but he damn sure created one of the greatest players to ever touch a basketball

    Over the last two years after his passing I've come to realize that, you can't put Kobe in the ranking with everyone else, he's different. He's basically MJ's shadow, wherever you put Mike you gotta have Kobe right there along him. If MJ's GOAT status is agreed upon then Kobe is the 1.1 version of it. Then you start ranking everybody else from #2 and downwards

    Kobe was a prodigy but the dates don't add up really; Legler's last season in Dallas was 1993-1994, Eddie Jones didn't even make the league until 1994-95 let alone make an all-star team. Kobe was 15 years old that summer so maybe Legler just meant Kobe was playing well against soon to be rookie Eddie Jones, eventual all-star. But Jones' first all-star season wasn't until Kobe was a rookie and was 18 years old.
