    Gabe, just catching up. Thanks for the video! I use chicken and get FRISKIES cat food (salmon pate). I use the can opener and punch 6-8 holes in the can, throw it in the bag with chicken. It’s gotten me limits every time I went out last season. I just started fishing for the first time in over twenty years, so I kinda forgot how to catch salmon, so I wasn’t lucky enough when cab season opened to have more than a few rockfish carcasses. Really looking forward to the crabs it’s my favorite too.😉

    Thanks for all the information- very helpful! In one of your videos (been watching a lot of yours) you mentioned that it is a requirement to have a crab gauge for each person fishing for crab on the boat. I was never aware of the regulation and I have been trying to find it, but can't. Do you remember where you found it? All I found in the regulations is that a measuring device is required to measure the crabs.

      Hey brother, you are very welcome, and thank you for watching and your support!!!! So as far as the measuring device, I have searched the fish & game site top to bottom, and I can't find it either!! I even tried just googling it and it did not come up either. So at this point not sure what to tell you, I know I had heard or read about that last year, and for me it's just cheap insurance to have them on board! In my opinion I think it's stupid that everyone has to have one, I would think as long as you have at least one on board to measure that should be sufficient! I just don't want to take that chance, I have had issues with the fish & game site not being very fourth coming, and them not making it easier to locate certain regulations!!!!! I'm sorry that I can not find the specifics on this, you will have to make that judgement call for yourself, thanks again for the great question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hello, Thank you for your informative video. The question i have is, i been wondering about reusing crabbing bait. Is it ok to freeze and re-use chicken and other baits after using it?

      Hey Jun, so in my opinion yes, the meat, like chicken, fish carcasses, stuff like that would keep the crabs busy on it, what attracts the crabs to your hoop net is the bait jar of anchovies, squid, any of the stinky oily baits, and those you would only use once and then discard! I hope this helps, and thank you so much for the great compliment, and for your support!!!!!!!!!!

    Great information 👍🏻. Do you have any idea of when the 50 fantom rules will be abolished for rock fish?

      Thank you so much brother!!! So I believe it ends at the end of December, and then hopefully will restart early next year!!! I do not have any exact dates yet!!!!!!!! I'm also hoping that they will open nearshore rock fishing too!!!!!!!!

      @baldeaglefishingadventures That would be awesome! I've only been fishing a few times out of bodega bay. I have a 22 foot bay boat but I'm too scared to go 20+ miles offshore for rock fish. I've learned alot watching your videos whether it be regulations or techniques . Very interesting and informative 👍🏻. Keep making more awesome videos. Thank you

    How do i obtain a go ID? Thanks!

    • @baldeaglefishingadventures
      @baldeaglefishingadventures  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Hey Dennis, your go ID # is on your Calif. fishing Lic. It should be around a 10 digit #, at least mine is 10 digits. Yours may be 1 digit less or more, just depending on how long ago you got it or if you just got it, I've had mine for several years. I hope this helps, and if you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!! Have an awesome crab season brother!!!!!!!!!
