really the only issue with fo4 is that basically there are no different options for a game were roleplaying supossedly affects the story, either you are good or bad and nothing inbetween, there is only 4 possible endings of which 3 are the same

Idk, their reactions seemed quite logical considering each one backstory. Normal people don't like murder, even the most bloodthirsty societies of the past had rules about it and when it whas considered ok and when not. If you want to play the bad guy you have to accept the bad karma and disapproval that comes with it. Ironically, it's more realistic that way.

OP is talking about West Coast BoS, aka the original and real ones, not that poor excuse of East Coast BoS that Bethesda retconned into "The Heroic and Valiant Good Guys(tm)". If you played Fallout 3, the Outcast is how the BoS normally operates. Any "mutants" they exterminate (aka anything not human), to them wastelanders are on par with insects both in intelligence and worth, and anyone refusing to give up high weapon tech they may possess they murderbone to shit.

I feel bad about Danse's conversation. At this point in time, Danse is the only reason I ever bother with Fo4's BoS, and I'm still willing to travel with him post Blind Betrayal even if I risk making the BoS hostile and losing Danse in the process. This conversation tells me that Danse has lost the only person left in his life that would ever be there for him regardless of whether he's human or Synth, and that Danse is deciding to cut that person out of his life for the sake of the Commonwealth. Just. Our boy deserves more than a shitty murderer after all this.
Few things that I like in FO4. The companions feels like a true companion who had principles and feelings, not just a mindless follower and shield for the player
As someone who got overly attached to every single companion, I feel like I would never be able to do something to disappoint them. Expecially Nick and Hancock, getting lectured by them feels like when my dad used to yell at me, and I don't want to experience that again with my favorite characters.
Codsworth just turns into a guilt and sadness chair but after gives you all the love in the world. Dogmeat mixed with Codsworth is a living ball of love.

Fo4 had it's good points. I replayed New Vegas and fo3 recently and my god the combat is boring.

Idk, their reactions seemed quite logical considering each one backstory. Normal people don't like murder, even the most bloodthirsty societies of the past had rules about it and when it whas considered ok and when not. If you want to play the bad guy you have to accept the bad karma and disapproval that comes with it. Ironically, it's more realistic that way.

OP is talking about West Coast BoS, aka the original and real ones, not that poor excuse of East Coast BoS that Bethesda retconned into "The Heroic and Valiant Good Guys(tm)". If you played Fallout 3, the Outcast is how the BoS normally operates. Any "mutants" they exterminate (aka anything not human), to them wastelanders are on par with insects both in intelligence and worth, and anyone refusing to give up high weapon tech they may possess they murderbone to shit.

I feel bad about Danse's conversation. At this point in time, Danse is the only reason I ever bother with Fo4's BoS, and I'm still willing to travel with him post Blind Betrayal even if I risk making the BoS hostile and losing Danse in the process. This conversation tells me that Danse has lost the only person left in his life that would ever be there for him regardless of whether he's human or Synth, and that Danse is deciding to cut that person out of his life for the sake of the Commonwealth. Just. Our boy deserves more than a shitty murderer after all this.

As someone who got overly attached to every single companion, I feel like I would never be able to do something to disappoint them. Expecially Nick and Hancock, getting lectured by them feels like when my dad used to yell at me, and I don't want to experience that again with my favorite characters.
