How to Make Omurice and Bamboo Rice | Anime Food IRL

This is episode 3 of my Koufuku Graffiti cook-through! We'll be making Takenoko Gohan (bamboo rice) and Omurice! In episode 3 you gets to take home a bunch of bamboo shoots from her art class. She invites her classmate, Shiina, to come sleepover with her and Kirin. Ryou makes the girls a gourmet dinner and the next day takes on the challenge of making the perfect Omurice!
The Bamboo Rice recipe is adapted from ‪@justonecookbook‬ created by Namiko Chen. I love her work and recipes so much. I also dug around the internet and learned that Takenoko Gohan is a beloved homemade comfort food and it truly tastes like Spring.

Bamboo Rice (Takenoko Gohan) Ingredients:
For Dashi Broth:
1.5 cups of water
1 cup, tightly packed Bonito flakes
2 tablespoons sake
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
For Bamboo Rice:
2 cups short-grain white rice
4.5 ounces bamboo shoots
8 pieces of Inari Age (fried tofu skin pouches)
Omurice Ingredients:
For Ketchup Fried Rice:
2 cups cooked white rice, medium grain
3 stalks green onion, finely chopped
3 Chinese sausages, diced
2 eggs, whisked
1/3 cup ketchup
1/4 cup water
Ground White Pepper, to taste
For the Omelette:
2 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
