Softwares are just a starting point to get you a job , i m not talking about field experience because that's what you get when you are already hired.

    Hi mining geologist.
Im working as a mine engineer and already bought your 2 exercises ( quarry and pit design using studio op) in udemy.
I want to know when you add the pit optimization, pit design and scheduling both advanced and basics? since i already bought the studio op basics pit design i hope to get the pit design advanced courses using studio op and basic and advanced pit design using vulcan. Pit optimization using whittle, npv scheduler or vulcan and mine scheduling using minesched or spry. Your courses help me a lot since i want to explore datamine studio package or vulcan ( i am surpac user ). I will wait and buy your next courses!!
    Thx.

Hi Mining Geologist, I got a mining engineering degree and registered as EIT. Usually, mining engineer works in the mine site to perform short/long range planning and pit design. However, I have worked on exploration projects for five years, especially sub-contract projects from junior exploration companies. My question is how to convert the role from a project engineer (project geologist) to a real mining engineer to work in the mine. Sometimes, it's a little bit weird that mining engineer works for exploration project as usually geologist dominate those areas. Another question, is it easy for Canadian geologists or engineers to work in the US for mining/ exploration projects? Please let me know your thoughts. Cheers! Any comments are very welcome.
