The start of the greatest onstage era for the Stones: the Mick Taylor years; no other players here except for original piano player Ian Stewart; awesome
Saw the Stones for the first time in 1973 in Nashville and again in Nashville in 2022. In 1976 they celebrated the the 4th of July bicentennial in Memphis Tennessee for $10.Warm up band wàs the bluesman Furry Lewis. V ve
Mick Taylor was best when there were no horns in the band. The first two years of his role in the band were great. His rythym playing is the best and the licks he throws in too. '69 was the coolest live Rolling Stones sound EVER.
All of the Stones albums are great even Black and Blue… Get Yer Ya Yas Out was their best live one for sure… Oh and the Earth is not a Spinning Space Rock in a Soul Lure System It is an Immovable Plane less earthquakes in a Closed System… You will remember this comment for the rest of your life… Peace
Some day too many years ago, mu sister told me she was to give a Rolling Stones Album as a gift, and asked me to choose one. In those days we were lack of money, so to expend money buying an album was not easy. It took several day to decided wich album between Let It Bleed or Get Your Yehas ...Finally I choosed the best live album I ever listened to.
This is why they were live legends.Everybody else was trying to reproduce the studio versions of their hit songs on stage. The Stones just cranked theirs up louder and dirtier.

The sound of Keith's guitar on this tour is why I became obsessed with them. On the 81 tour I thought I had gone insane....what kind of shitty sound is this
The greatest thing that ever happened to the Rolling Stones was finding Mick Taylor..... The worst thing that ever happened to the Rolling Stones was losing Mick Taylor. IORR.
Stones were ON FIRE here! They were the best band in the world and they knew it, so did the crowd, everybody knew it! Keith had never sounded so much like Keith. Sadly the Beatles had gone to the Happy Hunting Grounds by this time. I saw them in L.A. during this tour. Also sadly, Altamont was in the near future for them.
HOT DAMN one month before 'Let it Bleed' was released. Coming off 'Beggars Banquet' and they know they have another amazing album about to hit the street. 'Let It Bleed' - My #1 album of all time. That said... Brian has only been gone 4 months at this point. And Altamount happened just weeks after these shows were recorded. Ya-Ya's was the second album I ever owned. Got it as a kid with Christmas money just after getting 'Hot Rocks' as a Christmas present. I believe it was Christmas of my eight grade year.
Albums and 45’s were my favorite thing to get and always requested Rock & Roll starting at the age of ten. Owned such great ones and gave my niece all my collections…probably over a 100 easy. She’s such a modern bohemian hippie, you would have thought I’d given her a bucket of gold.
Greatest live album. November 27th and 28th at Madison Square Garden. Except for " Love In Vain" recorded a couple nights earlier at the Baltimore Civic Center. IORR.
Five guys. No horns. No back up singers or musicians. Just the Rolling Stones. The highpoint of their live playing career! This isn't the version of 'Carol' from the album, though. They made the album from several shows on the tour. This is from one of those included in the deluxe reissue. The one on the album smokes this one.

Not a single comment about Sir Mike's (best frontman EVER) pants possibly falling down, what's with that... oh yeah Stones are the best musical team ever that's the focus, the music not the buns hot as that subject would be
@jblacktree Bullshit. I'd like to see you, or Ronnie Wood to try playing Mick's solo on, let's say, Gimme Shelter London 1973. "Wrecked this band"? Their most successful period was from 69 to 74, when MT was in the band! "Keith & Ron are artists"? While Ron is a good guitarist, he is a novice compared to Taylor. You obviously don't know too much about the Stones.
MT´s got this very individual blues feeling while KR without a doubt is THE riff master plus he plays Chuck Berry and the likes better than the originators (e.g. "down the road apiece", "let it rock" etc.etc.....)..... agree??
As Roger Daltrey recently said, nowadays The Stones still have the best frontman ever but the musicianship of Wood and Keith is poor and not above garage band level.
I love the Stones, too bad Mick didn't do botox on his lips just that, it was his mark on Mick Jagger's mouth. 💋it gave a charm, I know he is old but agile.
a inique band starting their prime period that lasted at least 20 years. then they went sour let s be honest. but with the who probably the best rock n roll band ever. and no, the beatles were not rnr. simply from another planet…not called rnr

True, but he was never able to connect with Keith onstage the way that Ronnie Wood did.
How about his LEAD guitar p;aying?
Essa guitarra é do Keith.
'69 was they did Hyde Park & when Brian died.
The first two years the Stones have played the songs of Muddy Waters,Havlin Wolf and anothers blues makers.
The best Rolling Stones album ever. R.I.P Charlie who never missed a beat.
