I didn’t get that part though because most songs are only 3 minutes long… not even a neurotypical person can do a whole day’s worth of chores in 3 minutes. these videos literally open my eyes about why I do things I do bc I clearly have adhd buttt I’m not diagnosed so that is the next step for sure
Darn, and I thought I was the only one cleaning like I was running a marathon. This is very true and relatable.
I have a Spotify playlist entitled “get something done” it is 20 minutes on the dot and it is for just these occasions
That’s so clever. I need to try this!
Seeing things like this help me understand
I’m not the only one doing this and it’s not that weird
Don't have adhd (I don't think at least) but I do this as well with everyday tasks, keeps me motivated!
i am goinf to talk to my Dr. about Adhd. i totally thought everyone was like me and i coulsnt figure out how laundry was foldeed and put away and the car was clean and people didnt qsk for silence as the only person in the room. Then i learned about women having differnt symptoms of adhd and now i have questions.
People without adhd would never understand we’re just a bunch of superheroes who are better and always will be
Can't call us lazy when our superpower is ✨efficiency ✨!
Which is why I love the 10min all too well song 💕
SO TRUE
also American pie
I was just abt to comment this 😂😂
I don't have ADHD ... well I thought so before I start to watch your videos. Now I think I should check this with some doctor 🤨
I have a whole playlist for that. Not just a song lol
I have adhd and this is soooo true, even when im not doing tasks or listening to music i just do random stuff for no reason in a absolute ridiculously short amount of time for 0 reason.
I live for your channel.
You have put so much stuff into focus for me, an adhd haver. It makes me feel normal
I have found so much about myself through your videos. Like the fact that this may not be normal.
The "yeah if I was an amateur" line is perfect.
I hate competition, everything is already a battle.
OMG I haven't really known how to deal with lack of motivation except for when there's a deadline that is really close or if I'm already rushing so this makes so much sense. Absolutely trying that now, you're amazing!
Welp, I have a new thing to try when I'm not on my meds
Where is this skill in my, “nearly every ADHD trait that I’ve come across recently, fits me list”? That’s a skill I would REALLY benefit from!
Talking about laundry I need to go and get mine out of the machine, it’s been in 2 days and already washed twice 🤣
Thank you so much for adding captions to your videos!
Song recommendations for long songs c:
*_High energy (metal) songs:_*
*The Sun, The Moon, The Star* by *Æther Realm* (some kind of metal, high energy, really really good song, some calmer parts, 19 minutes and 9 seconds)
*Painters of the Tempest* by *Ne Obliviscaris* (prog-metal with some violin, high energy, all 3 parts like 21 minutes)
*_Post-rock:_*
*Totem & Tabu* by *Leech* (post-rock, 19 minutes and 43 seconds)
*Atom Heart Mother Suite* by *Pink Floyd* (post-rock I think? 23 minutes and 42 seconds, recommended by @Miko)
*_Calmer and sadder songs:_*
*Garden of Silence* by *Justin Jet Zorbas* (no idea what genre but slow and calm with some nature sounds I think, 13 minutes and 51 seconds)
*Music For A Nurse* by *Oceansize* (not sure what genre but sort of calm and sad, a very very good song, 8 minutes and 16 seconds (it’s not very long, but it’s my favorite song (the lyrics can be difficult to hear because they're a bit unclear (it's not mumble rap) but the lyrics are actually very good and sad so you should read them (yes this is 100% the correct way to use parentheses lol))))
Also if anyone wants to create a mutual playlist on Spotify to share more long songs like these then hit me up, cause I'd be down for that! :)
i also suggest atom heart mother suite by pink floyd (23 minutes and 44 seconds)
@@noisebleeder Really good song! :D
Thank you for the recommendation! I also remembered another very good song but I'll edit the original comment to add it c:
Only about 8 minutes but Something Wrong by Clan of Xymox for slow and gothy
Also another pink floyd song but I forget which one Edit: echoes
I think paint the sky red’s songs are good choices as well.
Me folding laundry while my show is on and running to put away dishes durring the commercials
Put on "All to well (10 minute version)" enough time to clean and listen to fier music and you get more dopamine when you finish and probably have 3 minutes left
I dont have adhd but this method is actually rlly good for me bc i lack motivation so yea i definitely recommend this
It would take me my whole playlist of 151 songs just to clean my room that’s an understatement actually
I break it into sections small enough for one song. I may only do one or a couple, but that's better than zero!
@@judyg9889 lol
I have ADHD and that is an exact explanation of how I do stuff. Can you do one about forgetting everything you were told to do 10 seconds ago because that is another thing people don't understand
Thank god I’m not the only one!!!
Wow! I love competition and it seems like it’s the only time I can focus…autocross, Straight A’s in school, getting a bonus that I literally calculated nightly at work, etc.
The most relatable video doesn’t exi-
Haha, I had this while learning. I always said: I write this page for resume down again while this song is played. It worked pretty well to let me stay motivated (my grades werent that good, maybe another techbique would work better)
Even worse: "Hi, my name is Rex!!"😂😂😂
I feel so called out yet gratified at the same time
I don't have adhd but I do something like this... I finish one exercise by three songs.. and I clean my room by 5 songs...
I was cleaning my kitchen for 2h 15min and listened ADHD Focus song on loop to get it done 😅 No way I could clean one room within one song, or even within an album 😂
Ik what u mean. I will loop 1 song too. Its easier to focus then changing songs
Just chose all too well 10 min version 😂😂😂
Love how my reaction to "song only has 30 seconds left" was "understandable, carry on."
this is how i get my school work done. i speed run looking over the questions in a single song and then every question needs to be correctly answered by the halfway point of whatever song it is im listening to
pov you don’t have adhd but relate to all of her vids
When I do this I always listen to All too Well 10 minute version 😅
it goes from sleep deprived and exhaused to RUN RUN RUN GOTTA DO SOMETHING NOW NOW NOWWWW!!!
We the type of people to win a race after starting last fr
I do this with showers!!! Extra points if I finish under one song. 😂😂😂
Ya sounds about right, but with laundry folding it I have to be watching a show there is no other way
Music is extremely useful when doing chores or excercise, without it, everything gets tedious and impossible to carry it out and yeah I also create that mental game imagining if I don't do something before deadline something catastrophic will take place.
"If I was an amateur maybe" 😂😂
Savage.
Haha! I do the same but I squeeze my whole cleaning process into an album or a podcast episode for about an hour, and not just one song. Kudos to everyone who managed to clean their full house in three minutes!
It takes me a whole album, but I actually forgot I use this coping mechanism sometimes, so thanks for reminding me.
As someone without adhd this is the only way to motivate me
You know what… I’m gonna clean up my apartment. Thanks for the chance to break the doom scroll. ADHD, blessing and a curse, amirite?
Don’t forget the depression when you don’t get it done in time 💀
Now I feel like I have ADHD ever since I started watching you
Its hard to put to words ADHD. Its frustrating lol. Im glad you make the elements of it make sense in a dhort logical way.
This is Way to true I do this all of the time I listen to music and it gets me in the cleaning mood Wow this is too relatable
I also carry things… as many as I can carry. Sometimes I stop and go “why am I carrying this shit around?” 😂
I haven't been diagnosed with ADHD and am yet to go but why do I relate to these videos so much
OMFG THE MORE I WATCH YOUR VIDEOS THE MORE I THINK I HAVE ADHD BUT MY PARENTS EFFING LAUGH AT ME
