Even the pirates/flashgitz the best orc shooting units are still better in melee.

@@ArkhBaegor they are great 3 wounds is a godsend but they rarely hit thier targets at range. Thier shooting is a fun mini game till they get into cutlass range. I love then
The way you did the dangerous terrain tests for models getting out of destroyed transports is how I would have done it too. The Tough rule states "...you must continue to put wounds on the tough model with most wounds until it is killed, before starting to put them on the next tough model". Good job guys
Aye, it does. HOWEVER, the Dangerous Terrain check says that each "model" rolls, not each "unit."
(Anyway I left that in the video to compel some action from GF :-D )

Just played my first game of GF and it’s definitely fun and engaging!
If you are looking for a new way to use those cards you could try our method.
1 deck. A "river" of 3 cards both obtainable by either army as well as each player getting 2 secret objectives. Check for completion at the end of the turn, then check for any discards, then restock.
High scoring and fluid games

This is my first battle report for OnePageRules, me and a friend playing warhammer 40k up untill now, we are planning on switching to OPR because it seems so much more fun, and it is. This video has a special place in my heart now, because i have seen both my armies play against eachother xD It was very nice to watch.

I can`t get enough of your Grimdark battle reports. You have a really nice and easy way of narrating your games. I really like that you don`t re-roll cocked dice. Soooo many times you are watching a good game and see an obvious roll, which gets re-rolled (despite it being really clear and obvious what it is). But you just apply common sense... which is much more enjoyable to watch and doesn't grate: nice one, love it :-) I hope you make many more of these, they never disappoint.

You don’t need to sit on an objective to hold it tho. Objectives remain seized until an opponent moves in range.
Ah yes we weren't clear about that - part of our homebrew use of those objective cards is: you must be on an objective to claim it. You don't keep it, like in the stock written rules.
@@WylochsArmory Ahhhhh that makes sense. And it definitely changed the way the game would have gone! Later I figured you must have been keeping someone nearby so they couldn't ambush in and take it back.

Finished it, surprised that the Orks pulled it out in the end, they were getting hammered, literally, by those destroyers! But Wyloch was laser focused on the objective game. Seabass is such a gentleman too, I love how much you guys seem to be enjoying your games, warms my heart.

28:00 "How aggressive do I want to be?" You're playing Orks. The answer is; as subtle and as complicated as an Ork itself... VERY. (It's what makes Orks so much fun to play).
According to the One Page Rules news page, they're working on a big update for all the armies in Grimdark Future. Tons of reworked mechanics. One of the more relevant bits for these armies is that Destroyers (Terminators) are having their unit size reduced from 5 models to 3 models. To bring them in line with every other Tough(3) unit in the game (that isn't a Hero).
So, anyone out there looking to build a Battle Brothers list for Grimdark Future, keep in mind that pretty soon, those units will get smaller. You might not be able to use all the models you get in the kit (unless you buy more kits).
Who cares? 3d printer goes brrrr and prints exactly the number you need. There's a moral to that story, don't buy GW if you don't have too.. Though even if you do why does it require a warning, is it a deal breaker? Make different weapon loadouts.. I'd rather buy a box and have options than GW 40K rules where you buy a box and don't get enough options in a single box requiring more than one box to optimize the loadout.. now that's Shady and requires a warning
@@DeusMachina71 Or you approach it the other way around: Consider OPR the beer and pretzels, fun game you can basically bring your collection for and go WYSIWYG - bit like old Apocalypse.
That being said, GW DOES(did) make beautiful kits which I like to buy.
@@DeusMachina71 or buy used models on ebay. preferable bad painted ones because they are cheaper. The color can be removed quite easiely

11:00 removing 2 and leaving a wound is pretty idiomatic in tabletop games. I think it is the correct interpretation.

Ithink there is a small error with blast. the rules state that Blast cant cause more than one wound per model in the target unit. so when the copters attacked the APC, and it was correct to roll 6 saves, but no matter how many were sucessful,the max damage would have been 1. This further increases the tactical aspect of deadly and blast as one is now even more for big guys and the other for large squads.
This was filmed before that rule was revised.
37:30 the rule says "size" not wounds. So count of units seems to be the intent.

Your videos alone have made me completely forfeit the Games Workshop ruleset. Its so backwards and rule bloated. The fact that we still have 1 army move EVERYTHING, shoot EVERYTHING, then charge whatever they want is ridiculous. One page rules plays very much like Bolt Action with back and forth activation which I am all for. Thanks for the great content!

Orc Marauders are my new favorite. With their psychic spells, I can do deadly rending. Pair that off with a combined army of Battle Sisters and their psychic spell can create the possibility of Poison Deadly Rending!

Why not leave destroyed vehicles on the board (turned on the side or upside down) as terrain pieces?
Sure, you could house rule that. It does meaningfully affect the free move options of the unit killed it, if it was via melee.

Wait a minute... marines have a 3+ Defence, Primes have a 2+... so that mortar shot should have killed 2 marines not 1 marine...
Remember this was filmed before version 2.5 came out. The new v2.5 army lists have BIG differences. Standard battle brothers ("marines") used to have a 2+ defense.

Me too, and good news, they are about to roll out the most significant overhaul in five years....almost 2+ defenses are being changed to 3+ defense. Hallelujah!!
