      There was no reason for Alonso to go off track at start, and he gained 2 positions by doing so. Grosjean maybe shouldn't have gone off either but he didn't gain an advantage as he dropped back slightly. Alonso on the other hand just blatantly cut the corner and gained 2 positions and no one bats an eye here...

      Carlitox b Funny how none of you tards are crying for penalties for what Alonso did. He lost positions to turn 1 and gained them back by cutting the corner. You can see 2 cars going past him in the breaking zone and after he cuts the corner he is suddenly behind the Toro Rosso again. Karma for him in the next corners. He deserves the worst. :)

      I know! All these races have been very boring! France and Baku were awesome races when you compare them to Canada or Monaco! P.S. Your english is good

    • @vectoredthrust5214
      @vectoredthrust5214 Před 6 lety +1

      Your English is great! As a native English speaker I say you didn't really break any grammar rules, perhaps the only thing you could've done to make it better was avoid repetition by saying "this gp was actually a good one" rather than saying "this gp was actually a good gp," but that's just a suggestion rather than a rule to minimise repetition
      But yes, I find it utterly baffling how anyone could possibly think that Grand Prix was boring. It has action, overtakes, a mix of tyre strategies and the suspense of rain on the horizon that never came. Maybe the people who thought it was boring think the only thing worth watching was the very front of the grid where Hamilton won, but ignored all the action behind him

    Quite insightful. So I learned now
    1. that people cut corners left and right in that first lap.
    2. that Vettel didn't really cause Alonso to spin; Alonso had already lost his rear before there was any contact made.
    3. the reason for Romain's penalty.
    4. that Vettel got that nose damage not on contact with Bottas.

    Paul Ricard is not that bad as a race track! Too bad the run-off areas and the other part of the track are a total mess..

    • @wejhvabewjty
      @wejhvabewjty Před 6 lety +2

      Well until recently the track's official name was Paul Ricard High Tech Test Track. The massive run-off areas and all the possible track configurations were very much intended for testing purposes. I guess that something can be done about it now that it is an F1 venue.

    • @jgonzalesm6
      @jgonzalesm6 Před 6 lety +5

      Unfortunately, Paul Ricard has fallen victim to the "sterilization" of what is currently F1. The track has a mega huge problem....traffic infrastructure. It so bad that people turned away for being stuck in traffic for hours by the tens if thousands for FP's, Quali, and Raceday. It's been that way 40yrs ago and still exists today...pathetic. Fortunately, Charlie W. is looking into getting rid of the chicane down the Mistral straight for next yr. If the local municipality does not pump money into new infrastructure, this track will not be in the F1 calender for long.

    • @Thumbsupurbum
      @Thumbsupurbum Před 6 lety

      joe r gonzales I don't think they can remove the chicane in the back straight. There isn't really a braking zone going into turn 10 and they need a braking zone at the end of a DRS zone to flip the wing back down.

    • @jgonzalesm6
      @jgonzalesm6 Před 6 lety +2

      Flintstoned - drivers want it removed and Charlie is considering it. There are articles about this topic already out. Personally, I hate chicanes. They should have never added them at Monza nor at LeMans ( 2 of them down the Mulsanne back in '91).

    • @TheFikri136
      @TheFikri136 Před 6 lety

      Flintstoned Grosjean has the decency and fair play mentality to not cut corners to overtake. Unlike Alonso in this race, who lost 2 positions to turn 1 and gained them back by going off track. There was absolutely no incident for him to avoid, as Bottas was well off track by then. Alonso actually drove closer to the incident by cutting the corner. What a fucking joke he is...

    Looking Stroll's incident again I realize that if it had hapened on other race track it would be pretty dangeours. I meam a tire blast on a fast car right on a curve. Luckly french circuit has a lot of space...

    I know there are haters but I am a fan of the French circuit.
    The large run-off areas allow drivers to take risks, which allows for more interesting battles. Also, the long straight before the chicane allows for overtaking even with the current state of the aerodynamics.

    • @omgitsmejeff
      @omgitsmejeff Před 6 lety

      Chronic Avidness Grosjean was ahead of Ocon, so if anything Ocon crashes into Grosjean because he had the clearer view and more space to manoeuvre

    • @usernamefreaks
      @usernamefreaks Před 6 lety +2

      The thing is, Grosjean swerved left too fast for human reaction. There was no time for Ocon to avoid the collision. Grosjean plainly crashed into Ocon and damaged his own bargeboards.

    • @LethalWalou
      @LethalWalou Před 6 lety

      wtf are you talking about. It's extremely clear to see in slow motion that they both steered in opposite directions at the same time, slightly, which caused the contact. How the hell Grosjean ''swerved left too fast for human reaction''... Dear fuck you haters.

    • @usernamefreaks
      @usernamefreaks Před 6 lety

      Grosjean must have forgotten that Ocon was on his left. He went to the left when Leclerc moved left so that he might be able to lunge Leclerc, but was obviously surprised when he felt the contact. He didn't give Ocon any room.

    From this what I understood was people should watch races from onboard cameras mixed with driver reactions, their handwork, real engine sounds, tire sounds, etc. The races are not so "boring" like this. Every onboard camera tells a different "race story". There are sooooo many things happening though they are shown like simple things by the TV cameras mixed with the stupid over hyped commentary.
