How can Germany, with its history, support people who want to turn Israel into Muslim/Secular Palestine when Israel is supposed to be the official Jewish Refuge Nation, for better or for worse, due to historical claims. Surrounding nations kicked out loads of Jews and Muslims of the wrong sect into The Levant while waging war on Israel from outside and in. Sure, Israelis treated the locals worse and worse the more violent each side got, but that's WAR - and the whole region was on THE NAZI'S SIDE, near enough.

I learned a great deal from the following comment on an article at The Intercept by a commenter named David. I don't think he will mind us copying and pasting whenever someone tries to erase Palestine.
Palestine has been a place with a people for all of recorded history. Here are some facts from historical and archaeological records:
*The first known written reference to Palestine (Peleset) was c.1150 BCE at the temple of Medinet Habu in hieroglyphics.
*The Palestinians were among those who fought with Egypt during the reign of Ramesses III.
*The region between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea was referred to as “Palestine” by the Greek historian Herodotus (“the father of history”) during the 5th century BCE.
*100 years later, in the mid-4th Century BCE, Aristotle referred to Palestine while discussing the Dead Sea in his ‘Meteorology’.

I can't stop listening over and over to Lamis Deek's forceful and heartfelt speech. It gives me heart that we are heading the right way. Than you George for your unfailing support for Palestine and for inviting such devine speakers and authorities. Low-key was brilliant too again. I read in the Chinese news that the 14 Palestinian factions have united this weekend in Beijing. This should advance their cause. And, as you mentioned Lavrov is also talking about taking a more active position to resolve this conflict with the support of the BRICS. All this gives us hope.
As an Irishman and a American I proudly stand with Palestine and Yemen! Victory will come!
