Dodworth Miners vs New Earswick all Blacks open age 6-7-2024

Yesterday saw us take on New Earswick in our 9th league game of the season. From the warm up, I could see that we were in very good form. Skills were extremely high and I told the team to take that into the match and they certainly didn’t disappoint.
Dodoworth took an early 22-0 lead with tries coming from Harry Scott, Decland French, Joe Ashworth and Josh Fletcher. We lost our way for a little bit after that and conceded a try and we were only able to score 1 more before half time which went to Joe Ashworth.
At half time, the team were told to go back to how we started and that is exactly what we did. We ran in another 6 tries that went to Harry Harvey, Will Smith, Tom Griffiths, Kieran Hyde and Joe Ashworth scored 2 more taking his total to 4 tries. 10 conversions toll Joe Perry’s points tally to 20 for the game.
Man of the match went to 4 try hero Joe Ashworth.
All in all it was a very good day for the Miners. This plus the successful Miners Fest made it a very proud day to be apart of
