I’m working on my “forever” wardrobe as retirement is looming. I am mostly thrifting this wardrobe and am focusing on a timeline of about 3 years. I have a good start and when I find a basic in a quality fabric is easy to maintain and is something I love I will buy it in several different colors but this is the only “new” clothes I am buying. I have thrifted a great suede maxi skirt a great leather pencil skirt leather vest nice wool blend trousers, several cotton sweaters wool coats leather shoes and boots. Vintage jeans new jeans and tweed blazers. I am slowly purging my crappy fabric clothing items. I am trying to find my personal style. What I feel best in look good in and what is comfortable. I still have a few items that don’t have the best quality fabric but are in a style that is mine and looks good on me and I figure if I don’t wear them all the time should still last many years to come. Once I’ve honed in on my style I should only need a few new or thrifted things each season to keep up with the trends. I kept my good American skinny jeans because I like how they look tucked into knee boots with a blazer or poncho and a turtleneck this will always be one of my outfit formulas and I can’t handle the feeling of a straight leg jeans tucked into boots. This is an outfit I always get compliments on. I’ve always had my own personal style but never put a name to it so it is something I’m working on now. I’m 62 plus size and in love with fashion and makeup always have been
