I knew that you would love this one, John was really into soul music and Freddie loved that about him. Brian and Roger weren't and so John and Freddie made this one together. Your talking point about not taking things quite so seriously and living day for day, well Freddie had that covered too in the song "Don't Try So Hard" I think you'll like that one as well.
I am one of the devotees for this song! Whenever I hear it, I gotta get up and move with it. Just such fun - definitely lifts you out of any funk you are in.
I am happy you are doing cool cat 😸 I love this song it has such a relaxing flow an good vibe ☺️💖 now you need to do Soul Brother you will love it 💘 it's a tune Freddie did for Brian when he was going thru a depression an being on a downer love your reactions an love for Queen keep ur shine an keep rocking 🥂☮️🌈🍄🌻🎸🎈🐒🎧🥁🎉🐈💖💘
Got you
"Cool Cat", written by Mercury and Deacon, originally featured David Bowie on backing vocals and a few lines of spoken word to a rhythm during the middle eight. According to Mercury in a 1982 TV interview, Bowie was unhappy with the results and requested that his vocals be removed days before its parent album was slated to be released. With the exception of the electric piano (which was played by Mercury), all the instruments are played by Deacon, including drums, guitars, and synths.[20] On the album version, Mercury sings the entire song in falsetto.[21] The alternate take with Bowie's vocals still intact is widely available on various bootleg recordings[22] and surfaces from an early 1982 vinyl Hot Space test pressing from the US. Deacon can be heard using the slap bass technique throughout the track.
Thanks, Janet, for info I did not know! I did know the part about it being just Freddie and Deaky -- and that it's unique that the vocals are ALL falsetto -- :)
This song proves that Freddie can sing anything!! I’m amazed at the talent that Queen displayed & their willingness to experiment regardless of the critics!! My dad just realized today that Queen did YOU’RE MY BEST FRIEND. Hahahahaha!
Please check out ACTION THIS DAY live at the Bowl 1982 🔥🔥
This song is all John and Freddie. So smooth and soulful. Freddie really works his falsetto in this one and the bass is essentially the lead guitar. Thank you for reacting to this, it is such a different side of Queen.
Brian and Rodger wanted nothing to do with this song so it's only Freddie and John on the song but it's one of my favorites
Yay, a John and Freddie project. Love cool cat, so funky
So thank you for this great reaction! Freddie, who can sing everything, is a unique phenomenon in the history of rock music. This style is amazing. This is yet another explanation for his extraordinary talent, which makes us listen to him over and over again.
I throughly enjoyed watching your reaction and you're absolutely right about Queen and Freddie, there was never a box for Queen nor could they be put in one either! 👑💙🌈🫶
See what a Fool I've Been, written by Brian is another out of the box song. There are at least 3 recordings of it, but the earliesr, 1973 one has his falsetto beautifully sung.
I love your comments. Thanks for continuing with Queen
For the longest time 'March of the Black Queen' was my favourite Queen track and then along came this....my absolute feel good song - perfection.
Facts, with Queen there never was a box!
Freddie falsetto ❤️
"Spit on the box, thuh"...LOL! Another great reaction, thanks!
😹😹😹
Queen always had soul at their very core 😎
Great reaction to a great song. Freddie wrote a song for Brian, called Soul Brother. You might wanna check it out.
It's a good start to my Wednesday morning, thanks. 🥳 I love the Cool 😻. Another great vibe is the Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy.
🖤🖤
Haha, you crack me up, smooth daddy.
😹😹😹😹
Speaking of Soul …. How about SOUL BROTHER written by Freddie for Brian!! 🎼

Great reaction my friend. Here I got a song for you to check out. It's called MR. BAD GUY and it's off of FREDDIE'S solo album MR. BAD GUY. Another great song is MY LOVE IS DANGEROUS and it's off of the same album. Keep them QUEEN videos coming. Love to watch you react to QUEEN. Take care and have a great day. Your friend, QUEEN BEE 🐝🐝🐝🐝
