Happiness is seeing Gayle running like Dhoni between the wickets ❤️
Tx4
That time when Anderson was in odi, Chris Gayle used to field in the deep, and umpires were being dramatic with slow decisions
And ball was for 50 overs
And bravo used to bowl quick
And Gayle batting for almost 50 overs
Anderson ko koi rate b nhi krta tha us time na hi James Anderson ne aisa kuchh b Kiya tha
Odi me ek Mar khane Wala bowler tha Anderson
Gayle was a consistent ODI batsman in the 2000's
***And an useful bowler 👏
Bro are you the Farhan Wahab I know?
@@mihirojha4475 yeah
Farhan Wahab Small world. 😂
STATS TELLS THAT GAYLE IS AN ALLROUNDER
He's a very good opener in tests too
Era when Gayle use to hit more fours than sixes
That's what am seeing
And used to run fast between the wickets
@@ravitripathi1695 His heart condition made it hard for him to run.
@@cheesemccheese5780: What does he have?
@@eddyvideostar He has a congenital heart defect which is a hear defect which means he developed the heart defect before birth. He had to have surgery for it.
How much has Anderson's bowling action changed! And Gayle's running two's!! Ah... the 2000's...❣️
When scoring less than 300 was the norm
@@samgamez9907Bcz grounds were 85 ,90mt long . And there is jo powerplay ,drs bullshit. Uppredictable pitches not like nowdays flat pitch . Bat size were half to modern era bat size, all team have world class bowlers . That's why 300 is also very hard to chase .
Watching this live was such a treat. Chris Gayle played a gem, sarwan played well too.
Jatinder Singh my childhood I rmr it vividly too
How much Sarwan scored ?
Want to know.
89. He played some brilliant shots.
Jatinder Singh Yes! I have seen.
Tino best at his best 😷😷
Rob Key at Long On
Chris Gayle running 2s
Andrew Strauss hitting sixes at will
The world has changed a lot in 16 years
165 balls 132 by Gayle..rare sight..this man is capable of scoring 250runs in 165 balls
He scored only 1 run in more than 20 balls once vs RSA in ODI
300 guaranteed by 165 balls
At that time pitches were quick and was good for swing bowling
He was out of form in this series that time sarwan was the man in this match he made 89 of 75 balls too
@@comedykakhajana3306 truly said.
The wicket had something for the bowlers.
Also the boundary seems to be much bigger when compared to modern days.
One hell of a team that was .. WI .... Lara, Gayle, Sarwan, Chanderpaul, Powell, smith, Bravo.... At that time, I used to wait for wi vs aus series. Only team which gave aus a tough fight ....
That team lacked bowlers though, Ian Bradshaw was a good make shift odi bowler, but after walsh and ambrose retired it took them ages to find roach. Now they have roach, gabriel, oshane thomas, and alzarri joseph. Find a good spinner and they could build a really good side. They are already starting to beat good teams at home..
From 2005-11, it was South Africa who was really tough for Australia followed by India...
They were terrible, lost most of their games in this era, and had a load of 5’4 fast bowlers for some reason
Hinds ,gayle, lara ,sarwan ,chanderpaul, powell, samuels, bravo ,jacobs, smith, ryan hinds.. hell of a team . They defeated by aus 4-3 home series in 2003 but win last 3 matches back to back . The main prblm was for wi was they never took opposite team seriously until they loss series . Orelse with this batting line they easily beat any team in that era . And they have lack of good bowlers . Dillon, tino best ,bradshaw, curry collymore, drakes, nagamotoo not threat to any team. Only bravo was a technical bowler ,a young fast bowler named jermain lawson was there ,but icc dropped him due to his howling action. He was a speed star he bowled over 155+ kmph . He cost india to loss home series 4-3 against them in 2002 after taking most cruicial wickets of india .
Thanks for the memories... NZ won the final... But WI ODI team in 2004 summer was 👌👌🏏🇲🇸
Gayle got 3 wickets in that game...
His 132 came of 165 deliveries while sarwan scored 89 of 78 balls
Powell finished the game by scoring a 22 ball 33
Also it was his 100th game in ODIs

Gayle is great player than everyone
He is top player from 2002 series in india

@@anirudhrana4665 that's true. Windies beat India by 4-3 because of Gayle and Hinds and in the last match Marlon Samuels.

🏏🌪️💪
It was tough catch and he hardly got full hand on it
A young, fit Dwayne Smith wow
Andrew Strauss was an underrated player. He had the technique, power and balance all three combined.
Without scoreboard it doesn't look good...
@Ace 06 No I don't agree...In this match WI chased the target without any difficulty but as a viewer without scorecard it was difficult to analyse the match situation...it just looked that they would stop when they will be tired...
This was typical of Channel 4's highlights, the scorecard occasionally flashed on the screen but otherwise the screen was kept clear.
and bowling speeds
@Ace 06 Yes definitely it wasn't bad either but as time progressed & after watching plenty of matches with a scorecard it looks a necessity now-a-days...
yes
Despite two centurions for England, their campaign ended on a sad note. But I loved Freddie Flintoff's batting it was out of the ordinary!
Fred was confident and more deadly here! Injury messed him up! He did too much, two centuries in two ODI games for a fast man was just too much for him.
Flintoff Legend 💥 My Ideal Man..!
This is a masterly inning by the universe Boss Chris Gayle batting power abilities, he played some gem of a shots. This kind of batting against some of the best bowlers in the world and, Gayle was playing them like some mideocre bowlers. All in all this inning is a great one the bat of Chris Gayle batting power abilities, he doesn't liked to talk. He used his bat to do the talking against any bowlers in the world, because he feared no foes.
Can't imagine Chris Gayle had only one six in this match
On this time Chris Gayle was not a real Chris Gayle that we see today.
In that time Gayle is classical batsman...
Yeh he played different style of cricket.....he ran two's at will
Then you never knew Gayle 🙂

Gayle running two that too two times ... that's rare very rare😂
Absolutly...
Yes I just can't believe it was gayle who was hitting more fours and he is very much cautious to play the shots in ground but that hard hitting I can feel it....

Gayle was breaching team protocol on a nightly basis especially on nights before games and was repeatedly warned by sarwan who was at the time the head coach for the Jamaica tallawahs franchise...rather than have Gayle charged...sarwan instead dropped him from the playing 11 on a few occasions so he'd get his act together.
Gayle was the only player who had a problem with sarwan during that time...as great as Gayle is/was his popularity leads him to think he's untouchable

True
CricViz did an incredible stats job to ascertain player impact in ODI cricket and found Flintoff to have the highest match impact of any player of the 21st century. A bowling average of 24 and batting average of 32 at a strike rate of 89 demonstrates why that was the case.
Yeah in terms of matches won for England he was incredible

That shot from Ricardo Powell.
He was a good finisher.
I wished he played IPL early editions.
He dropped his name for auction no one peaked him in 2010,11. He left cricket due to injury in 2005 so he dnt hv oppertunity to eatablished his name. So he was frausted & never apply for ipl again. So those who seat in ipl auctions are stupid businessman they dnt hv idea about who was pinch hitter bcz they only knows current players i think thsts why lege legendary lance kluener also not applied for any auction in ipl . But It would have been fun if Ricardo Powell and Lance Klusener were playing IPL. Everyone knew what a mess Klusener and Powell were.
