- Why did The Book of Boba Fett take an entire episode away from its primary character to focus on The Mandalorian, Din Djarin? People seem to love Chapter Five of the series, but this is the one criticism I've seen brought up over and over again, so this is my attempt to explain Din's importance to the story being told in The Book of Boba Fett and beyond.

I’m not convinced Din is fully back to bounty hunting. He took the job in this episode in order to get information about the Mandalorians. He even said the client can keep their payment; he wants the info. I also think he wants the Razor Crest for nostalgia, but he doesn’t bring up the N1’s lack of cargo space as a reason for not wanting it.
This, plus Din seems very lost and aimless to me after parting with Grogu, and the first thing he did after finding the covert is to let the Armorer forge a present for Grogu, which may just be all he has in his mind now.
I think he’ll get a larger ship for home base and dock the N1 in it

Absolutely this. It just feels so much more thoughtful and much more from a place of love, as opposed to obligation, than some other SW creators. I commented on a DenofNerds speculation video for episode and mentioned that a lot of his speculation about how Din showed up was "what could go wrong" as opposed to looking at the showing and speculating based on what we've seen. I had someone in the comments say that I was criticizing him for not talking about the show the way that I wanted it to be spoken about, but I just don't see the need for preemptive negativity. React to the show as it happens. I just don't understand why you'd want to poison the well of your own experience like that.
My criticism of his negativity was based on the fact that I found it obvious that Din would come get a ship on Tatooine. They've clearly set that up from episode 1. I like the content here because it focuses more on those things than being negative to increase engagement
Agreed. He does a great job understanding the spirit of Star Wars
People nowadays just like to complain and have that feeling of impending doom lol idk I guess to be edgy. I loved everything about this series, my dad who was in his 30s when star wars first emerged also loves both series like crazy. People are never satisfied with anything.
Great to hear an analysis that is based on what is on the screen...and understands it!!! Too many reviews are just about what the reviewers wanted to see rather than taking the time to see the bigger picture and how all the pieces fit. I found myself nodding in agreement to all your points!
i dont think all the pieces really fit tho… its a bit of a stretch. there was not 4 episodes of story in the first 4 eps of boba fett. its seeming that the rumor about drama between pedro and favreau and company delaying the real mandalorian content is true, because boba was pretty obvious filler in my opinion

@@bennett4789 "Drama" is something the rumor mill makes up to get clicks, so I wouldn't believe any of that...both Pedro and Favreau are mature enough to see the bigger picture, if not the big paycheck. Plus, they came back to do S3, there may have been scheduling issues for Pedro to do some other projects, which allowed the development of the Boba story that the legions of fans wanted to see after Boba showed up Mando. And narrative-wise, I think this is the perfectly place to slot it, in between the completion of Mando's initial quest and whatever comes next. Now imagine if they had just done a Mando S3 and the first 4 eps and then ep 6 and 7 were focused on Boba and Fennec with little or no mention of Mando...even if it turned out that S3 was 17 episodes, there would be riots and people would have said, 'why didn't they just do a short season of Boba's story before season 3 of Mando'...well guess what, they did. Episode 5 then gets out some necessary connective material for the next season, while also connecting to the Boba story. It isn't a problem for me because I see both Mando and Boba as one big story, and when it is complete, I think the whole thing will read much better when it can be watched without breaks...as was said in this video. Anyway, let's all just enjoy all this Star Wars we are getting and may the Force be with us all! :D
@@bennett4789 I don't agree that there hasn't been enough story to support the number of episodes. It can feel that way since the show is clearly designed to be binged in one go, as is the way with most shows made for streaming services are these days, but Disney has decided to release episodes weekly instead.

It’s funny; some of us used to be worried that Boba would overshadow Din in *The Mandalorian*, but now Din has overshadowed Boba in TBoBF.
I remember all the concern about that too. Seems silly to think about that now.

Star Wars fans never run out of stuff to gripe about. It's called story telling, like the man says.
As much as I hate the fandom, it is a legitimate critique. It's a Mandalorian episode in a show called "The Book of Boba Fett". The only thing that I don't know is that I don't know how the show will tie it all together at the end. I do agree with Alex's comment on how this fits and I really can't wait to see what they're going to do with this and Mandalorian season 3.
@@itsasquid it'll all fit in time. Hopefully this show will bring it all together, and set up the next season of Mandolorian. Personally, I liked the side story, and expect a payoff next week.

I enjoyed Mando's appearance in The Book of Boba Fett, I hope to see a conversation between Boba and Mando about each other's new life in the next episodes
This episode has everything to do with Boba Fett it's just done very well subtly and baked into the narrative. Boba and Din stories are connected in more ways than one and I think Jon and Dave are building a story that sees these two lead the new Rise of Mandalore. I think that the prophecy of someone riding the Mythosaur and heralding the new age applies to Boba Fett, and the prophecy of one rising to cut twenty warriors applies to din Djarin. They will both lead Mandalore in some way, united together, and uniting other mandalorian. Remember what boba said, you can only get so far without a tribe. That's got to be foreshadowing the uniting of all mandalorians. It's interesting because Boba is connected back to True Mandalorians, where as din was raised as a foundling by death watch, as correct me if I'm wrong but true mandalorians and death watch were sworn enemies right? Din and Boba are from rival clans but they are becoming best friends, that show they will unite mandalorians
Wow this comment just made me realize that they technically come from rival clans but due to war, time, and tragedy it has become irrelevant to their growing friendship and trust in one another

Hot take: The ENTIRE point of “The Book Of Boba Fett” is to give just enough background to his character and (new) situation to place him (and Co) firmly into to upcoming timeline of The Mandalorian.
We only get two more episodes. Is Mando REALLY going to see Grogu/Luke AND get back to fully resolve whatever is going on with Fett in a way that satisfies the story? I think BoBF was a fun departure with a specific pair of purposes: 1)Tie Fett & Co cohesively into The Mandalorian with long-term story potential and 2) do so in a way that excuses the temporary shift of focus away from Mando (it’s a thinly-veiled Mando season 2.5)
The first 4 episodes of the BoBF is the *actual* interlude - to The Mandalorian. Favreau and Filoni were smart enough to frame it as if it was it’s own thing; a savvy move in the context of a fandom that can be a bit judgmental.
Of course, I could be completely off the mark (and admittedly I haven’t gotten far into this video before pausing to commit my take) but I guess it won’t take too long to find out.
Okay, you guys pretty much went into a similar point👌🏻. I purposely typed my “Hot Take” before watching most of the video so I could compare the two more honestly.
I really wonder how people complain about this show can call themselves star wars fans they must’ve never watched the Clone wars names when that was about the main story

I have another interpretation... TBOBF was supposed to be a 6-episode series and this week's episode was just a big ass The Mandalorian S3 trailer...

I wouldn't say it's a trailer as the story will continue on in the next two episodes in a similar way how boba was in the last 3 episodes of Mando season 2.
I honestly am just enjoying these shows. I don't want to nitpick everything apart. It's not that serious. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but I realize I am not the one telling the stories, so I have no reason to be bent out of shape if things don't go the way I expect them to. I am 'reading' the story and I'm just fine with it. It's fun, and it gives my family and I something entertaining to watch on the weekends besides old Netflix/Hulu reruns. I'm happy.

Plot twist...Din Djarrin is really Kitster Banai.

I really appreciated the change in pace and focus in this episode, it was like catching up with an old friend
I feel like we had to spend time with Din in order to introduce him into this story and for it to be effective and meaningful. After the S2 finale of The Mandalorian, we have a lot of questions about him that we would have needed answers for this to be any more than an appearance just for the sake of it; how is he feeling about Grogu, he misses him, of course! What is he doing now, did he go back to bounty hunting or did he stay with Bo-Katan, he's a bounty hunter again, perfect, that means he's even available to help Boba and Fennec. Did he keep the Darksaber, yes he did. How is he getting around, he was using public transportation. And they introduced him in a way that felt very natural, he came to Tatooine to get a new ship from Pelli, that's a perfect reason and it felt better than Boba and Fennec just going to Nevarro or something to find him, which is what I thought would happen. They had to fill in the blanks here or it wouldn't have felt like Din really belonged. It makes sense to me.
Honestly this is all reminding me of The Bad Batch where everyone was frustrated and complaining about the first Ryloth episode and how "out of place" it was... and then the next episode was one of the best and it wouldn't have worked as well as it did or even at all without the prior setup. One would think people would learn some patience by now. I'm positive that we will get some major payoff for spending so much time with Din in the last two episodes
This reminded me also of that bad batch episode. sometimes a story may feel out of place when it comes out but in retrospect it becomes very important
I find the Boba Fett x Mandalorian dynamic really interesting.
Boba Fett is trying to assume a leadership position but struggles with his bounty-hunting persona and his general distaste for leaders.
Din is being thrust into a leadershp position without really wanting to and would very much like to go back to his bounty-hunting persona.
The dynamic is interesting because we basically see two warriors struggling from opposite sides of the leadership spectrum: Boba wants be a leader but fails miserably exactly because he is and thinks like an amazing warrior (he wants to solve the problems that aggravate him, not his followers) and Din runs away from being a leader because he is an amazing warrior and fears failing those under him (which actually makes him a much better fit for a leadership role than Fett).
I would very much appreciate if Din ends up unintentionally mentoring Fett on how to actually lead all the while Boba mentors Din on how you SHOULD shoulder more responsability even if you think you're unqualified for it.
Could we end up seeing these two joining together to lead the Mandalorians as a pair to guide their people to a new future, ala Horst and Hengst in Anglo-Saxon mytho-history? Tradition and progress working together vs the stagnant religious dogma of the Armorer or the nostalgic petty self interest of Bo-Katan?

Boba Fett is the rider of the Mythosaur we know that from the Holiday special. Now he just needs to win the Dark Saber in a fight and he can bring together the clans. It's to bad they have made him more like Duchess Satine and with very little supporting character development to change him as such. I do think that is the way they are going though especially with all the foreshadowing that's happening. Someone should make a video on that.
@@jeremiahsummers8054 Duchess Satine was an extremist when comes to peaceful means. Insanely extreme... I don;t see Boba anything like that even in this show. He isn't completely against violence, or using it. He just seems to have recognized that sometimes it shouldn't be the first answer. Especially when he's trying to build a respectable allience/build his 'family' and want to do better than the worms that used to hire him. It doesn;t make him incapable of using violence when it;s needed, or even when there is strong enough anger to (revenge on bikers for example)
@@WolfSpiritAD Yes but he's not Pre Vizla, I think the point is to make him the between, a pacifist and a war monger who is bent on through violent means to spread the Manolorians influence as Pre Vizla seems to want. They are trying to make him "speak softly, but carry a big stick" I personally think they are failing to establish that properly but my point is I believe he will be the rightful ruler of Mandolore.

This episode basically represents that Mando is what fans always thought of Boba and shows that they can still get that if they follow Mando. Boba will never become Mandalore but Mando might become instead. It totally makes sense that people get weired after a canon near death. That is also why I love Metroid Other M so much. About the point of the clean slate of Din and a new purpose: The forgemaster says that the darksaber is a more noble weapon for him to wield, rather than the beskar spear. One was won through honor has important significance to the culture he embraced, the other is a bounty with no history, even worse, a bounty that wipes its feet with that culture by using beskar to make a weapon.
Not so subtle, again, but yes: a more noble weapon, or purpose, for him to walk toward. Pretty sure the forgemaster at this point wanted him to go on a quest to unite mandalore again
Totally agree, what i don't understand is how nobody is talking about what the armourer said, there is one WAY to redeem himself.

I honestly think some fans are just nitpicking, all because Boba Fett becomes a fleshed out character rather than a killing machine. Stories have interludes, this isn't really anything new.

They really are. Like anyone could bitpick the mandalorian too but they just don't because the masses can't separate liking something but criticizing it, and outright hating it for no reason
Someone commented somewhere else that many fans aren't fans of the actual work, they are fans of being outraged by the work. They called them "Outrage Enthusiasts."
Trust me it has flaws, even I can see them, when I usually zone flaws out for the most part. Yet I can only say one episode was bad, which was the third the rest have been good, yet flawed

With Bobba Fett and Din being both going through trying to define themselves in makes sense. Just saying all these stories are meant to connect with hopefully a live-action version of Ezra Bridger and Graham admiral front from Star wars rebels.

Boba Fett and Din Jarrin are thematic opposites (shadows of each other, in a Jungian sense). Both wear the armor, both are renowned as laconic, brutal bounty hunters -- but they're opposites. Boba Fett inherited his armor, painted it to hide its worth and followed a philosophy of being a simple man trying to make his way in the universe, arguably "Look out for Number One". Moreover, his career as a bounty hunter was essentially a legacy he inherited with the armor. Meanwhile Din is an orphan, adopted by a tribe, who probably chose bounty hunting to help them using the skills they trained him in and he earned the armor. If Boba Fett's time with the Tuskens taught him that he cannot live only for himself, then Din's time with Grogu and Fett must teach him that he can't live only for the tribe.
I don't mean that Mando has to learn to be selfish, but that he must learn to see the bigger picture. In "Dune" there's a part towards the end where the Fremen tribe that adopted Paul demands that he challenge his friend, mentor and ally Stilgar for the leadership of the tribe. They both know that Paul would win and while Stilgar is willing to die for the tribe, Paul says that killing Stilgar needlessly would be like cutting off his right hand and has to find a third option.

That you feel you have to explain all this just further demonstrates how fixated a lot of Star Wars fans are on wish fulfillment over story & character development. I've been told Star Wars on the screen was finished three times in my lifetime. It was always heartbreaking. The fact we get anything at all now fills me with so much joy. I remember the dark times when all we got were the droids cartoon & Ewok movies! We are in the midst of a golden (rod) age of Star Wars. We could be celebrating instead of whining! I like that insight about "Wizard" it might be like an adult today saying something was Rad, or Groovy; representing that inner child coming out.
Wait for the moment when Din tells the armorer “No. This is not the way.” It will be in that moment he will fully transform to become the leader of Mandalore.
DIN DJARIN flight in his new ship seems to make him very happy and free than he has felt in a long time I almost expected him to chuckle as well as saying Wizard when he landed

Interlude. Thank you for explaining the interlude. I was tired of hearing all the other shows talking about the disappointment with not seeing Boba. I have read a few books in my life and I know there are interlude chapters where we are introduced or brought back into a characters life to stitch in more fullness into a story. So I like seeing Mando for an episode, or two. It only helps to bring the story to life. Great work! Keep it up!

The metatextual connotations of Mando''s "but I want the old thing" when confronted with new things like the refurbished N-1 and then eventually coming to enjoy "the new" when he learns to let go of the past is hilarious to me.

Din wielding the Darksaber reminds me of how Han Solo used Luke's lightsaber. Seemed heavy to wield for both.
I liked this episode as much as the rest of the show personally. Once I realized it was a Mando episode I immediately saw it as an interlude. I assume it'll make sense as to why it happened by the end of the show. If not....whatever I've enjoyed the show anyway. Lol

Din is going to use Boba as an inspiration to focus less on following THE way and more on finding HIS way through the galaxy. That said, Din’s focus and drive is on Grogu and their clan of two. I don’t think he has the desire to unite the different sects and redefine what it means to be Mandalorian for all Mandalorians . The Armorer and Paz Vizsla, and certainly any remaining remnants of the various Watch sects, see him as unworthy of the Darksaber. Bo craves it. I don’t think he wants to reunite with Grogu with a target on their backs while every ambitious Mandalorian in the galaxy makes a play for that sword. I think Boba will assume the responsibility of the blade for Din so he can sure up his power on Tatooine and provide safe haven for Mandalorians throughout the galaxy after he spares them when they challenge him for the Darksaber. Then Din can track down Luke and Grogu, reunite his clan of two, and show his “son” his way to live as a Mandalorian. Ultimately Boba will bequeath the Darksaber upon Grogu when he’s ready to resume his Jedi training with Skywalker… Rey Skywalker and become Grogu Djarin, the 2nd Mandalorian Jedi.
The general nit-picking and superiority complex some Star Wars fans have over the writers of this show Is genuinely starting to piss me off. We should just be thankful that a 40 year old franchise is still providing us with new content, Star Wars is unlike any other cinematic universe in that respect. Instead of breaking it down into atoms to pick apart it’s most intricate details, we should all just go along for the ride and enjoy the visuals and the story. No show or any form of media for that matter, is perfect.

@@ArmaHipHopTV I completely agree, It’s been so great to see him finally get the spotlight in live action with this show and Mando, you can definitely tell he’s enjoying it. Tem is a gem and must be protected at all costs.

Reminds me of another commenter's observations of the differences between Boba in the flashbacks and Boba in the present. The reason Boba seems stronger in the past may be due to him not being as reliant on his armor and his resources. He's strengthened, instead, by not only his skills but also his solidarity with the Tuskens. This is why he wants to control crime and impose a more "ethical" regime on Tatooine - premised more on "respect" than "fear." The Tuskens are essentially his first real family after Jango, and their deaths teach him the precarity of vulnerable populations who end up as collateral damage in the power struggles of the galaxy's criminal underworld. While I have issues with the ways the Tuskens were discarded so easily (the "disposable native" is an all too pervasive trope), it becomes clear that Boba is no longer satisfied with being a pawn.
While I also wish the flashbacks didn't disrupt the flow of the narrative as I felt it did, I understand their purpose. I think what's missing from a lot of criticisms of this show is adequate media literacy and the patience to speculate the text's narrative choices (if most of your media diet is blockbusters that don't challenge their audiences' expectations and worldviews, this tendency comes as no surprise to me). From an earlier episode, in attempting to escape the branches of the tree in his vision quest, I read that as Boba also attempting to escape the secure embrace of Jango's legacy.
For as much as Jango's legacy elevated Boba to his own status as a Bounty Hunter, how much of that legacy also imprisoned him? Like Din in episode 5, Boba is too reliant on the familiar, and must overcome that dependency to become more than what he was.
The most feared Bounty Hunter in the galaxy is still only a Bounty Hunter.
Boba is no longer satisfied with that, and neither am I.
I gotta admit. Had this been called book of boba fett, interlude 1, the return of the mandalorian. That would have been cool

About the only thing i think you got right in this video is that the Dark sabber knows he doesn't want to lead his people. Once he accepts that, he will be able to use it.
The rest including turning his back on the covert is completely wrong. Family is everything to Din which is what the covert and Grogu are to him. Din new quest will be to find the living waters on Mandalore and on his way down that path he finally accept that he must become the Mandalore and unify his people.
Yes he will change but the covert and values they hold will be what guides him because.
This is the way.

It’s also vital to say that, just after he’s told by the Armorer that he’s not a Mandalorian, he identifies himself not only as a Mandalorian but religiously so to the droid insisting that he turn over his weapons.
I was just telling my sons last week the same thing. In novels, you have interludes. These help to build stories and characters.
Maybe the way our culture is these days people don’t read old stories anymore and just watch them instead. Shows and movies are great, but our imagination is even greater.

Another excellent breakdown. It helped restore my faith in what they are doing with the season, the interlude take on it really makes sense and is very useful in framing this episode. The only problem with this interlude may be if it becomes a 2 episode interlude, what with Djin saying he needs to go see Grogu and all. Hopefully something drastic on Tatooine prevent this from happening that will keep him there and thrown him into the fray. Anyway, thanks again, looking forward to the next episode.

I really enjoyed TBOBF until now, the newest episode of course was a straight banger, although it worried me how the plot might develope in just 2 more episodes, since boba wasnt in this. But your analysis gave me so much more of a perspective on the connected, yet opposite nature of both boba and din. I think you might not just be on to something, it seems like you pretty much hit the nail on the head with how the story was woven.
My hot take for the last two episodes: They go visit Grogu (and Luke!) on Endor (where I suppose his new base would be since its the place of ultimate victory for the rebellion), but they don't stay for too long (saving that for Season 3 of Mando!). They are going to hire at least 1 or 2 other bounty hunters and boba might eventually find out about the pykes being responsible for his tribe dying. In the finale I anticipate the Rancor riding scene we all are eagerly waiting for!

Interesting analysis. Sounds like this episode is also a metaphore about this new era of Star Wars, with the movies, series, books.. I don't want to write all my analysis about this, because it will be a long comment, but I think this is the case. I liked when Alex said "feel like a kid again", that is a sentiment that I share with every new content available. Respect and honor the past, go back if you need to, but also enjoy the future. Because we have a future. And that is very important.

Din Building his N1 is kinda like Boba making his Gaffi stick.
I find myself looking at other examples of “crossover” episodes (the Arrowverse, batman and Superman in the 90s) and here is what I’ve come up with…. Those examples I cited had the luxury of the fact that their multiple series were running side by side where the book of boba and the Mandalorian seasons are being published at opposite times of the year. So you can’t have a “crossover” episode except at the beginning or end of a season so you need to commit a lot of screen time to explaining mando’s current situation…. Also consider this was being film during the height of Covid restrictions and this way you could have two episodes of the book of Bobba being filmed with alternate crews and the only cross over is one actor in one scene….. it’s not unlike with a show will divide its cast in two different locations for a episode or multiple episodes

Great way to put this episode into perspective! I had been working toward that, myself, since I love both this episode and what's been done with Boba. This video also helped assuage my feeling that the "Wizard" usage was a stretch for Din.

Listening to Generation Tech recent Mando's N-1 ship breakdown and then this video I think brings up something about the character I hope they address. Both Mando and the Razor Crest took a LOT of punishment throughout seasons 1 and 2. He's constantly being shot at multiple times and relying on the armor to protect him, the Razor Crest is almost destroyed at least 3 times before meeting its final end. This new ship he's chosen isn't designed to be a tank or a workhorse, able to take one punishing blow after another. Its a super fast, hand crafted, nimble little starfighter. Will we see Mando change his personality and fighting style to reflect his ship? Looking forward to finding out.
This makes me think that Din is seeking out Cobb Vanth at the end of the episode. He was another man who reinvented something.
He turned Boba's armor into a tool of protecting and not hunting.
And just like Boba and Din, they are much stronger finding their own path, and with the war with the Pykes, I think they will make a good tribe.

This proves what I've said about Boba Fett for years now. The only reason anyone cared about him was because he looked cool.
But that's not the case with Dinn, people like Dinn because he's an excellent, well developed character who HAPPENS to look cool and now he's overshadowing Boba in his own series.

Love this viewpoint!!! I saw so much hate online for that episode but it felt very natural and important for the story progression. Mando and boba are in each other’s lives and their paths keep crossing, boba was in the mando show so it just feels right to have their story keep intertwining

I think we'll see Boba again in the Mando season 3 and he'll give Din some advice on what do to or what path would be best to follow.
Maybe they'll team up again and Boba decides to drop some advice or Din asks for it.
The first 2 seasons were more about his connection with Grogu and keeping him safe so now I believe the 3rd one will focus more on Din's personal journey, realising that there's more to life than ' the way ' he was taught about.
I think he will not redeem himself ( the armorer and paz visla will probably turn against him ) and choose to change his beliefs and life drastically. Bo Katan might help him too and he'll star to see that he can still be a mandalorian without following the rules of a cult-ish group.
It just feels so good to see Din on screen again can’t explain it
Mando and Grogu remine me of Lone Wolf and Cub. Boba will be the leader of Tatooine and Din will unite mandalorian and revive Mandalor.

I really see things as if they are panning out the bigger picture. I can imagine all these different races coming together on screen and having some part in this ever expanding universe with a fresh and style of story telling I think if anything Jon and Dave also just want to repair most of the damage Kathleen Kennedys narrow ass has caused Star Wars. I was a 3-4 year old kid when i first watch Star Wars and I gotta say it feels so cool to see shows and stories like these. Good TImes ahead folks. Peace from the Philippines!!!!
On its simplest level, I felt the episode was good way of reminding the viewer that what was happening in the rest of the series wasn't occurring in a bubble, that it was, as you point out, part of a larger story, and that what happened there was affecting, and would continue to affect, the larger SW universe- even if it seemed like it was just Boba trying to change his path.
One thing that I don't see get enough credit in the Return of the Mandalorian. That is the directing of Bryce Dallas Howard. All three episodes she has done are among the best in the two series. The old adage of the apple doesn't fall far from the tree seems to be true.

Thoroughly agree with your take. I do just wish they had titled episode 5 as "Interlude" to indicate up front that the chapter was a different thread of the story. I spent the entire episode engrossed, but wondering when Boba Fett was going to show up. And not getting that moment felt just a bit unsatisfactory. Just an editorial quibble.

I think that you are on the money with this vid... I definitely loved the episode. I was smiling pretty much all the way through it... Shows how much I miss The Mandalorian... Definitely enjoying the Mandoverse a lot more that the sequel trilogy... I don't think I can watch them again.... What a waste!!!. If John and Dave can oversee the whole Star Wars universe that would be fantastic... They seem to know what they are doing, despite some complaints about The Book of Boba Fett... Chapter 5 was one of the best episodes tho, especially for us that have watched all of The Clone Wars and Rebels... I love it! 😊
I’m not totally convinced that Din went back to bounty hunting. I think he did that one bounty, to get the location of the other mandos. I could be wrong. Just a thought.

I'm coming to this video rather late, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone already noted this, but I recall Spacedock (another youtube channel, all about spaceships pretty much) criticizing the choice of the N1 for bounty hunting, and this isn't to slight them at all, but I find it amusing that they didn't realize that it was in fact a symbol of Din Djarin moving *away* from bounty hunting as you've pointed out here.
I have heard a lot of negative reviews about this episode. Thank you for the positive and agreeable review that coincides with my thoughts on this episode. I understand it was an integral part of the big picture and I like how they amalgamated it into the storyline. It is the way!

I always saw the episode as an interlude, but i did think it strange that the best episode of Fett's show didn't have him in it. That often demonstrates where a writer's passion is. Does Favreau prefer Djarin to Fett? In follow-up questions with friends, many have asked if we would see Luke and Grogu in the next episode. With two episodes left, THAT would be an issue because Djarin would no longer be an interlude.
I have a big feeling this wasn’t an interlude episode. I feel it completely was about Boba and the reasons why he becomes what he does at the end! It’s mine and a few others take of a very clever narrative and written perfectly well to hide the true meaning to boba and his conquest… listen carefully to everything the Armourer says…
A lot of the mandalorian episodes were about Boba Fett and no one complained
I hope we do get more interludes going forwards! A thrawn and Ezra's adventures in the unknown regions interlude could be fun for ahsoka. If we get a Bo katan series as has been rumoured we could have a Bo katan interlude to set that up in the mandalorian.
