Idk why people say that, my neighbors got a Jack Russel, he's really cute, rarely barks and recognizes me and my dog as his neighbors. I tried making him meet my American Akita but he is too afraid each time we approach so I gave up that idea. Both him and mine acknowledge each other as neighbors so they know each other although they never smelled one another. Both are quiet and friendly. Glad he's calm like that since otherwise I'd be deaf already.

I had two half Chihuahuas mixed with Shih Tzu, and lets just say they both were freaking polar opposites. Both were girls, had shorter noses but big brown eyes, curly tails, and big paws and ears. Both died around 10 years ago from being hit by vehicles, but remember them like yesterday, i buried them both. Piper was black and white, had long fluffy fur, and the patience and happiness of something like a Golden Retriever which made no sense. Meanwhile Blossom was tan and brown, short frizzy fur, and the attitude of a broken chainsaw on cocaine. It is entirely possible that both were made by an angel and a demon for a science project in their school as partners together. They succeeded.
I really miss them honestly. Piper even had puppies long ago, then we gave all away except one, Fozzie, who was part Chihuahua part Shih Tzu and half Labrador. You would have never seen a sweeter dog. Sadly, he died too... I miss all my previous pets.

My little Chihuahu is a chill but he is very intense little dude. He is a service dog and is very job oriented. He is in charge of getting me help when in public if in public my body freezes up. He also points out things I drop so I can pick them up with my stick. He even going above and beyond by working with me with my physical therapy. He also helps me open doors and stick to a dally schedule.
Your Chihuahua is so chill because he’s got a job and gets to actually use his intelligence. They’re so intense because that little brain is always working. It needs an outlet and you’ve given him the greatest gift: something to do, to think about, to be alert about. BLESS YOU! They are intense and hard-wired to go above and beyond in everything they do: loving, working, helping, protecting, cuddling… a Chihuahua never does anything half-assed. They’re take-charge, pocket-sized little soldiers. Our blessing is that they’ve got a long life span compared to other dog breeds. A lot of them live well beyond 12-14 years of age (I know 2 that are 16 years old). Sadly they’re afflicted with weak knees we need to be mindful of. My boys weren't like that. Well one was for a while but to be fair he was rescued from terrible people. Once he knew that my wife and I wouldn't let anything bad happen to him, that he'd never be hurt again, he became the happiest little guy. Tho that anger of 10,000 men was directed at any ball or toy with a squeaker inside and once he'd killed the squeak, ripped it out, he'd never touch that tou again, lol. We found a bear that you could replace the squeaker, that was his nemesis. That was the only time his inner demon would wake. It still took him a minute to warm up to a new person but the aggression was gone. He passed away 3years ago and my other little boy, joined him last week after 15 years. To say I'm grieving is an understatement. Unlike his brother, this one was the smartest, sweetest little clown and he knew that he was small and took advantage of it. He never met a stranger, as the saying goes. If you met him, you loved him. I miss them both. They taught me a lot about myself, about patience and about living like everyday is a new adventure. They loved each other and they loved their family, even the cats. I'm glad that they are together again, playing and sunbathing, forever puppies at the Rainbow Bridge but it still hurts. My cat keeps looking for him, just like he did for a while after we lost the first dog. This did make me laugh tho and I needed that. Their names were Mojo Jojo and Might E. Mouse.

My boys weren't like that. Well one was for a while but to be fair he was rescued from terrible people. Once he knew that my wife and I wouldn't let anything bad happen to him, that he'd never be hurt again, he became the happiest little guy. Tho that anger of 10,000 men was directed at any ball or toy with a squeaker inside and once he'd killed the squeak, ripped it out, he'd never touch that tou again, lol. We found a bear that you could replace the squeaker, that was his nemesis. That was the only time his inner demon would wake. It still took him a minute to warm up to a new person but the aggression was gone. He passed away 3years ago and my other little boy, joined him last week after 15 years. To say I'm grieving is an understatement. Unlike his brother, this one was the smartest, sweetest little clown and he knew that he was small and took advantage of it. He never met a stranger, as the saying goes. If you met him, you loved him. I miss them both. They taught me a lot about myself, about patience and about living like everyday is a new adventure. They loved each other and they loved their family, even the cats. I'm glad that they are together again, playing and sunbathing, forever puppies at the Rainbow Bridge but it still hurts. My cat keeps looking for him, just like he did for a while after we lost the first dog. This did make me laugh tho and I needed that. Their names were Mojo Jojo and Might E. Mouse.
