Thanks a lot for putting together this content. This is very well explained and I am sure this is going to be very helpful for my shooting. Much appreciated!

Cheers Man, thanks
Thanks, that was really helpful!
Cheers
Mark, as always, another fact filled video that helps people understand the why, when and how certain things happen in the world of a long range shooter. Because of your presentations, so many new shooters don't have to figure out the frustrations one runs up against in our sport.
Cheers Craig, thanks
I love your vids. I've learned so much. I credit you for alot of my success long range. Not long ago I commented some of my results and an fclass high master basically called me a liar lol. I love it.
Lol, well done, Cheers Collin
Very informative. Credit to you and other people that go out of their way to share knowledge and experience. well done Mark and thank you

Great video, narrated with easy-to-understand explanations. Another of my intuitive understandings explained with by someone with the science to show the why's. Great video, as always!

Great info, thank you for putting it out. Cheers.

Thsnks Mark and Sam!! I used to live in Barstow California in the high Mojave Desert. I have seen many mirages that appear mostly during the heat of the day.
Thanks Rev, Cheers
Good stuff Mark! Enjoying my coffee in my 4AW mug this morning..
Cheers John, thanks mate, all the best.
Great Video!
Cheers
Cheers y'all from North Carolina!

I received one of your adjustable bag bases, now I can’t stress this enough, it has already been an absolute game changer. Like going from a $200 scope to a $2000 scope. I can’t believe I hadn’t bought one earlier. Well made and worth every penny. Much appreciated.
Awesome, glad you like the base, we sure do, lol, Cheers
The range I shoot at has rolling hills out to 1 mile and mirage never seems to be an issue plus there is a drop off in the terrain in front of the firing line. The other range I've been to is flat and the mirage is horrible by 10am. Great video
Cheers
Good day hero. Good information as always 👍👍
Cheers
👍💯💯💯thank you Sir for great lesson
Cheers
I found this very helpful, I just purchased a 1/2 bit.
Thanks Paul, thank you.
I have seen extreme mirage early in the morning with no wind. A layer of air sits on the ground with different temperature air above. You see effects like mountains floating in the air on the horizon.
Cheers
👍👍👏👏
Cheers
Fun information that will be fun to play with. Thanks!
Thanks Man, Cheers
Reducing scope magnification can help. Say reducing 25X down to 16-18X helps reduce the amount of mirage viewed.
To see, not to aim, all explained in the video, Cheers
@@markandsamafterworkQuite so. My apologies.
👍
I've been shooting with some guys looking for special devices to reduce the ground mirage on their scope (polarizer filters, etc). They didnt find simply because the image gets distorted by the air and not the scope. The only way to reduce these distorsions is the adaptative optics used on large modern telescopes : a laser is sent to detect these distorsions in the atmosphere and computer uses these informations to adapt the shape of the mirror very quickly with tiny motors. That's not possible on a scope, but a tiny improvement for us could come from electronic imaging like smart cameras that would stabilize the image with accelerometers and averaging algorithms. We'll have to wait a long time before getting any technical improvement lol
Well, maybe???? but I wouldn't hold my breath, lol, Cheers
@@markandsamafterwork haha lol

I love your shirt with your logo on it. Where can I buy one? ( black and Grey with white pin stripe.

I always thought that adjusting for mirage was not possible, doubt ill ever be good enough to shoot far enough that that matters.
