    Frank is so cool and has a grove about the way he sings and Leslie does a great job keeping up because that is not an easy thing to do in singing a duet with Sinatra! it is done his way and you better keep up!

    Superb! Sinatra plays fast and loose with the lyrics but what fun he is having - and Leslie is in heaven (and is heaven). And as dessert for this incredible swingin' duet, listen to Leslie talk about it in one of her Foundations interviews!

    5) 1:05 - Leslie continua com o seu swing feroz;
    6) 1:29 - Frank fraseia na descendente, como nunca antes havia tentado fazer nessa canção;
    7) 2:01 - Nova bossa do Francis, metendo um "super wind in her hair" na letra;
    8) 2:13 - Frank endoidece de vez, no melhor estilo rodeio texano;
    9) 2:25 a 2:30 - Pra incendiar de vez a parada, esse final explosivo!

    Vamos aos fatos:
    1) Os "Velhos Olhos Azuis" começam com energia, mas burocraticamente;
    2) 00:31 - Leslie ataca. Frank logo percebe que está em apuros...
    3) 00:42 a 00:52 - Ele disfarça o nervosismo e pensa num jeito de virar esse jogo;
    4) 1:00 - Frank começa a modificar o fraseado, enunciando a letra fora da batida da orquestra;

    Mitch Miller once said in an interview (here on CZcams) as he first worked with Leslie, he got all sorts of nasty letters from people asking why did he have to touch and put his arm around her (because she was black). I'm willing to bet Frank never got such letters.

      Frank Sinatra was able to take ordinary, run of the mill songs and turn them into gold like no one else ever has. I think even had the songwriting of the early to mid 20th Century not been so brilliant Sinatra's remarkable musical singing talent would still be seen as the epitome today.
      He was and remains the best of the best.

      @@lakemichigan6598 , Ordinary run of the mill songs....The is nothing ordinary or run of the mill about the songs from the Great American songbook. Beautiful songs that have stood the test of time. Sinatra put them on the world wide map.

      @@imonthebox1148 Not every song written before 1955 that Frank recorded was a beautifully written song - and yet he was able to make more of them than they were. This was one of his many marvelous musical gifts: The ability to turn coal into diamonds.
