    ----- How loud is that freeway? Would hearing protection be useful? And while I'm asking ; is there a place where a person can relieve themselves other than walking down the bank to the river?

    lol the closure signs! We actually ride a closed road that is so failed it has been omitted from Google Maps. There was one section where you portage your bike on an uneven three foot wide path with a sheer cliff below you. (old Howell Mountain Road above Silverado Trail
    BI love the path, though. Also did the Long Beach section through the industrial flats of East LA County

      I use an app called telemetry overlay! It's amazing.

      @Entitled Cycling I couldn't find it in Google play. Is it an apple store app?

      @@rosin6820did you ever find it? It’s not on an App Store, it’s a website, and you download it from there. Well I think, cause I searched it up on google and I think I found it.

    Sooo, if I were to take my bike on the Amtrak from San Diego, how far is this path from Union Station in DTLA? Or would I need to hop on the metro RTD?

    • @entitledcycling
      @entitledcycling  Před rokem +1

      Not far at all actually, so the south end of it int he video there's a rotary, Union station is 2.5 miles from there. That would be a fun trip I bet! You could get there pretty cleanly (for LA bike riding standards)

      @@entitledcycling So another question. Where are some places this path leads to? Or put another way, where are some interesting/cool places to stop and stay for a weekend?

      @entitledcycling  Před rokem +2

      @@cycologist7069 yes! Actually this inspires me to smdo a shorter video on the places it leads, linking in the description to this longer version to see the nooks and crannies. Let me respond tomorrow with some ideas for places to go

    The amount of closure signs remind me of a bicycle/car intersection near me which has yield signs for cars, stop signs for bikes, a red light, a checkered paint pattern where the cyclists cross and a solid line further away from the path where cars are supposed to stop but they inch up into the checkered part, right into the bike lane. Absolute shit show of signage so that everyone's held liable for everything if there's an accident. The closure signs are just so people can't sue for injuries.

    Newsflash: That’s isn’t a river. That is a canal, and it’s full of shit. What a nice ride.

    • @41052
      @41052 Před rokem +1

      From what I can see it is a natural river, just that it’s paved. Like if it wasn’t paved, if this cement wasn’t there, the river would still be there, still flowing. Well from what I can see from looking it up for less then a minute. I am pretty sure it is natural.

    • @Skonchin
      @Skonchin Před rokem

      @@41052 it’s not natural. The LA River was re-routed and turned into a canal over 100 years ago. It’s a disgusting concrete canal full of garbage and shit.

      there are actually sections with quite a few trees growing in the washed soil. It was engineered because it used to flood
