- Sable is a game that I've been looking forward to since 2018 and it did not disappoint.
Thank you to Shedworks for the early code for the game.

So proud of you and everything you've achieved with this channel, growth and the opportunities that have come your way. Couldn't be happier to call you my friend 😤
THANK U SO MUCH MITCH U R THE BESTEST
Oh man, getting those BOTW/Outer Wilds feelings of a world that's actually worth exploring. Most open worlds just... take up space.
CZcams's compression really cried trying to compress this art style. Definitely want to play this game when it's on sale and I have money
its on gamepass on xbox
Keep on kicking ass, Maria!!! What an achievement (and a beautiful video, as always)
hearing that Japanese Breakfast made the soundtrack is so cool I'm a huge indie music fan and love their music and never would've expected them to make a game soundtrack
Theres a pre-order on mondo for the vinyl!
Aww, that intro was so sweet. I'm happy for you. :3 When the trailer first came out and I heard your voice, that was so exciting. To be honest, I wasn't especially interested in Sable before, but this video sold it; I'm off to grab a copy and play. :)
When leaving the valley for the first time on your newly made bike, and listening to the song by Japanese Breakfast, it brought a tear to my eye.
My favorite moment was going to the highest peak I could and then realizing there's probably an achievement for falling from really high without gliding. When I hit the ground and the achievement popped I cracked the biggest grin lol
You deserve every bit of success that you've gained since you started all of this! I'm super happy that it eventually led to you being a part of a video game that almost felt tailor made for you. Long live the eurothug!!
Seems exactly the fascinating desolation, with purposefully little to do, and the sort of weird visual/animation style that draws me to Vane and the Team Ico games. Thanks for exploring those aspects in video, I'll definitely get this game sometime.
I discovered Sable in your essay 'The Tranquility of Traversal'. I asked you which games this with the Moebius artstyle and you told me it was Sable. Thank you and congratulations! As a fan of your channel, I'm happy for you.
This game is phenomenal, I can't describe how addicted I was from the moment I started playing until I got all the achievements in under 3 days. The world, the soundtrack, the art, oh my god there's so many things that make me love this game even more. If you love games like Outer Wilds, Journey and even Zelda, give this one a chance. Congrats to everyone who worked on this project, one of the best games i've ever played.
i wish i had kept a journal of my experience playing this game, of MY gliding. i wish it had a journal mechanic or something. because every discovery, every time i loaded it up, felt special.
my earliest memory of sable was on holiday in 2019, one of my most vivid pre-lockdown memories and i followed the updates since. and i'm so very happy i did because this game meant so much to me for many reasons; mainly i turned 18 a few days before it released, and for 2 months i was filled with anxiety about the future and leaving childhood behind. sable helped end that. now im ready for my own gliding in the real world.
Literally just about to start this game! Got it purely because of the art style. This video is making me even more excited to play it.
That's so awesome you got that opportunity and the game looks sooo relaxing. Definitely one I'd like to check out!
idk why but that intro hit me like a truck, thanks for sharing, very inspirational.
another great video
The first 2min 40sec of this video: Ah so that's what joy sounds like
So proud of you Maria, you've been absolutely killing it, love your work!
Wholesome as heck and a nice video to watch. It's awesome you were able to be a part of the life of this game and even more awesome that it was one you were so excited to see released and play!
as soon as i saw sable was out i knew you'd make a video on it
I like games that aren't about doing, but about being. No chores, no checklists. The vibe and world of this game looks right up my alley.
Also wish you even more success in the future, because this channel deserves more than it's getting.
Congratulations on being in the credits, that's so awesome!
Wow, this game DOES looks like a Moebius comic come to life. Seeing as I've recently read THE INCAL, it's very appealing. Never heard of it before, but it's on my radar now.
And yeah, you're channel does have a unique approach. The "feel" of video games isn't discussed enough, it's mostly centered around validation and so-called betrayal. You know, all the childish shit. Seeing as I discovered your work through the Death Stranding vid, seems apropos to say "keep on keeping on."
It looks amazing! You should try some Moebius solo work like "Les mondes d'edena", "le garage hermétique" or "crystal majeur". They're very different but cool.
The animationa of the wildlife has no right to be this gorgeous
i always knew your beautiful voice was cool enough for voice work on the videogame industry. Well done !! . Also, two videos in less than a month?? !!
two videos in less than a week even!! although staring at premiere pro all day every day has been tiring :'( time to take a lil break before the october vid!!
@@eurothug4000 gotta rest those eyes, red eyes in the morning, every morning, is the worst
All of your videos are such a labor of love! Always thrilled to see you succeed.
On another note, I'm shocked that this game wasn't on my radar before this video. The art alone is striking. Going to go grab myself a copy now!
As an old gamer with 20+ years of gaming, i have seen much, and sometimes i think, the chance to surprise me and engage me in a interesting immersive world will be smaller nowadays. But sable or botw are good examples for games wich make me feel like a child again were i loved to walk around and explore the world. And the little detail to be able to sit the character down, is in my opinion a very important and immersive feature.
I will be back to watch this after I finish the game! Excited to hear your thoughts.
Very glad that I found your channel. Your videos always cheer me up. You’re one of my favorite channels
This video has so much passion and love behind it. It’s wonderful
I actually forgot Sable was ever coming out. Crazy you did the VO!
Amazing as ever. Thank you for your hard work.
Excellent video essay, congratulations on your growth and receiving a role in Sable 👏👏
Also good form of the developers for reaching out to passionate fans and endearing the customer base
Learning more about this game is definitely going to my list.
Absolutely agree 100% is worth it. The freedom is awesome.
Just found this channel after playing Sable for the first time, really well done video and proud of your work!
Two awesome videos in such a small amount of time 😍...Hats off to your dedication 💥
Damn! Super happy for you, Maria!! I'll be sure to check this game out now!
Congratulations on the VO work and I'm so glad you're getting recognition for your insights and lovely voice! So excited to follow along with your work!
I'm definitely gonna get Sable as soon as possible.
I WATCHED ALL THE TRAILERS!!! So proud of you! I've only been subbed since your silent hill video but I've been loving it ever since!
You're great, so is the video. Keep making them. You're talented, and incredibly eloquent. Thank you for your content, and for sharing the personal side as well. All the very best. What a good video, I'm still in awe. Exceeds expectations, others will notice as well.
Thank you for this video, only because of this I have started playing it and it is such a delight 🧡
Loved that last line, and congrats on this opportunity!
Beautiful game, wonderful Journey for you. Thank you for sharing.
The game looks worth playing for it's art alone! You've totally sold me on it, though I don't have the hardware to play it haha
Congratulations on that accomplishment!
Beautiful closing statement. Thank you.
Congratulations on your success and amazing new opportunities!
Thank you for the greate review. Absolutely in love with this game!
i'm so happy to see you get the love you deserve i told you when we first became friends that your content was incredible and you were going places and look at you now! i'm so happy to see you succeed and i look forward to seeing you soar even greater heights maria ^_^ (and thank you so much for blessing us with 2 new vids this week
THANK U SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT ALWAYS!! 😭😭💕
@@eurothug4000 THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO
bought this game day one, I was pumped for it the first time I saw the trailer. Such a great art style. Great taste! Also congrats on being involved with the game, that's incredible!
Just played this due to your recommendation in the best of 2021 vid. A surprising game, more heart than the surface belies.
Big congratulations on getting the opportunity to be part of the game! I can’t wait to hope into Sable and give it a go. It’s absolutely stunning.
How perfectly delightful.
This game seems right up my alley
So awesome that you got to be a part of Sable!!
Game looks really interesting, I might pick it up someday!
This just looks so incredible... You sold me so quickly on this-- I'm going to come back and finish this video another time after I've beaten the game.
Hey, to all of you people digging this gorgeous aesthetic and looking for a similar experience in a different medium, I figure I'd recommend Jacob Garchik's album Clear Line. It draws inspiration from Hergê's ligne claire, Paul Rudolph's drawings and Moebius and it achieves something really special.
I discovered this wonderful little game a few days ago and I just finished it.
It is a gem of a game which I enjoyed playing through, never boring or pointless. I just wish it kept going on, ans now I know it's a memory, definitely among the best 10 games I've ever played.
This coming from a gamer that has been around since the times of "Zork".
What an amazing video!!!! Loved it.
That’s incredible! Hoping more of these opportunities come your way. I’ve been really interested in giving Sable a try soon 👍
Whoa, didn't realize you did voice work for the trailers. Your name is in the credits of a truly beautiful piece of art. I can't imagine how that must feel.
Lovely channel, I'll always be tuning in for a new vid. Very interested in Sable.
This is such a soothing video, and I'm gonna need to play this game.
Decided to try out the game based on your video and was not disappointed, this game is a perpetual vibe session
A video essay from one of my favorite creators on a game I'm totally unfamiliar with?
LET'S FUCKING GOOOOO
Amazing video!
Super underrated channel and game.
Damn, really need to check this out
Great vid 👍
Awesome video!
This does put a smile on my face
underrated creator fr you made me purchase this immediatly after the video
8:50 valued freedom
Yes, big yes. Instead of following the guide and moving north, I went south-east, almost 100%ed it on one stamina wheel and finally found that you can upgrade it. Laughed quite a bit at myself, because two or three times I glitched infinite climbing. Secret worm insides too.
Highly doubt any other game can support just going anywhere at any power level
I think I 100%ed it in the end of was very close to, which isn't a thing I usually do. Love the game and appreciate JB putting it in GamePass day 1. Otherwise wouldn't have found it
Didn't expect part of your journey with Sable to be doing voice work for the game. That's amazing!
There's definitely something special about Sable. The writing and art style are clear stand outs. Sadly, I've been playing on PC and struggled with menus that stop working, graphical glitches, and other gameplay oddities. I'm going to have a go messing about with the settings, and hopefully I can finally experience it properly.
This was rather relatable. As a starting youtube, I am just coming on to my own. This was particularly inspiring. I'm glad the algorithm randomly threw it into my feed.
I'm still not entirely sure what this game is about but your video definitely made me want to check it out.
Love that you spent a good chunk of the game with the spacer gear, as I was attracted to the Whale and all the lore that surrounded the old colony ships!
I love Moebius but I hate deserts -- I don't know why, but encountering a desert just brings me headache. Probably because I live in a tropical country and seeing a hot place in my method of escapism destroys my enjoyment? IDK. In contrast I love water, space, night, or sky levels. Are there games you don't want to play because of the setting or aesthetics?
Anyway, I was torn from buying this game, but your comfy recommendation is convincing. Thanks for your work!
This video made me subscribe. Good stuff 👍
Two of the best desert games are in this video title lol
Can we get the euro homie to over 50K by the end of this year? Thank you.
Great video xx
I grew up mesmerized and amazed by the wonderful worlds created by French artist and cartoonist Jean Giraud (Moebius). Illustrated in artworks like The world of Edena, The airtight garage, Arzach and of course The Incal. I smiled when i saw the first Moebius image in your video, it is my desktop wallpaper for many years. The wallpaper gives peace of mind, just like Sable. It is a gem in the "open world" type of games. I am 11 hours into Sable and i am again mesmerized and amazed by the world they created.
I finished Sable a few days ago. This game is absolutely a gem. Banger of a video game. I loved it so much (Except the part where it put me into an existential crisis in real life wondering what to do next with my life) but i guess that is a bit of a point.
Will definitely buy
knew you would love this game.
gosh I just 100%'d sable and it's so great.
There are few people I can send videos like this to
But I promise I send them a link when I see the notification
Lovely!

She always just sits there when I whistle for her. Or spins in circles lol
Another upload?? let's goooo
The achievement of customising your bike doesn’t get triggered. Only one missing for me.
That’s rad!
You probably won’t see this but, I just wanted to thank you. I hadn’t really heard about this game before this video, and your video made it sound good and I loved the art style so I decided to get it on a whim, and now I have a new favorite game ever. Maybe it’s just the point in my life that I played it, but as a recent college grad who’s trying to figure out the next step in my life I can’t remember a game ever affecting me this much. It just really helped me re-contextualize a lot of my own stress at this time. Anyways I just wanted to thank you for introducing my new favorite game to me.
Thanks for the vid
Nice, your one of a few gamers youtuber, who really enjoy games and it's gameplay as a whole. Unlike many out there who just create gaming content for just the sake for clicks. And end up flushing youtube wif repeated copies of useless video.
Thanks. Good video on death stranding.
I am loving the game, already spent 9 hours into it! I just wish it wasn't so buggy.
You are so smart and talented
what I liked about the game was the lack of conflict. It may seem to game developers that their audience would become bored without the mechanics of battle and striving to overcome adversity through war, but in this game, you overcame adversity by achieving your personal goals of climbing starship wrecks and mountains and the bones of Leviathans. most importantly, everyone you met was a joy to meet in the exploration. you helped instead of destroying and hurting. there are no enemies, just people who filled you with love for the world
most games dehumanize others as a goal. even though they're just NPC's This game paints something id like to visit much more
Id really like to watch the video full, but i still have hope it will come out on ps5 or switch
I feel like I’ve seen this art style before but can’t quite place it
