It's amazing how just sprucing up around the house almost makes it look easily salvageable.
The room sizes on those old cheap houses make the almost unlivable. Clear the lot and put in a MFD. house that is up to code.
Having watched renovations for decades, it could indeed be rehabilitated. Looks like someone started to in places, chimney, foundation.
@@kkarllwt a monolithic dome could be cool too. with an 8 foot straight wall and a dome top and have a circular veranda covering, it could be a very unique addition to the area, and not too out of place, as if thats an issue anyways lol. could easily quadruple the lots value with a nice building at the very least though, and no more expensive than any other custom build, as it would be anyways with a tear-down and replace job.

Seriously. A nice little, humble home with a nice small piece of property. With a lot of tender loving care, first in the inside of the home itself fixing up each individual room, painting and flooring the rooms, changing the overhead lights and light fixtures, etc. Once the inside is done, then the outside can be started by putting a metal roof on it, painting the house down either putting vinal siding on the house or dressing it up with a nice outside brick. Once done, landscaping the front part with pave stone and buying some nice perennial flowers and bushes, then a carport built attached to the side of the house would be nice to keep the car protected somewhat from the outside weather elements, this house could go from plain ho hum to really beautiful. Rome wasn't built in a day, however with time and a little engunity and patience, it can be turned from average to superior in looks over the years of good hard, steady work. My kind of house, a small, ranch style home with a little bit of property to mow grass on.
In our area, people sell the house, then the buyer can hire to use a large specialty truck to transport it safely to their own property, and fix it up.
They could prebuilt the supporting foundation in advance.
The seller gets the money, the buyer gets the house, and has the money to fix it up properly, and maybe rent if out or make it into a cabin by a lake.
Better than tearing down a structure.
@@marlenegold280 As written, I like and much prefer a small two, convert to a three bedroom ranch style home like this one. If there isn't a lot of room to convert an extra room into a extra bedroom, then a small study whare you can go into that room, open up books and magazines, read and study and expand the mind with. Books dealing with science and scientific study, religious material and deeply involving oneself in the scriptures of the Bible to make oneself into a much more better person to live with and deal with within this world.

If she’s not planning on saving the house, she can donate it to the local fire department. They will use it for training and basically get rid of it for her. Another option is to tear it down and salvage materials to resell. People love old wood, or all those rocks, etc! Great job helping this young lady!

Just a thought… if the house is uninhabitable, she could contact the local fire department to do a controlled burn for training purposes, if that would be of interest to her.
Costs are usually high. Electric company and gas company have to disconnect for a hefty fee. City has to go thru all the legal bullshit etc etc.
Yes, agree, however as Tim pointed out, might also have to see first if there are other dangers such as natural gas or whstever else many need looked at before completely destroying this little home for practice fire usage, and that is if renovations cannot be completed or are totally unaffordable to do. Either way, fixing the house up real nice, or if it's to far gone for repairs, something has to be done and completed.

I like the way you're careful to save the ornamental plants around the house.
Very true, however, be much better to transplant them to other areas of the property once all renovations are complete inside the house first, then a new roof, siding, then landscaping block/brick on the outside of the home, then your transplanting process then can happen. With a little time and patience, this nice little home can turn into a real nice, humble home to live in.

Smartest person I've seen so far. Keeping the guard on the string trimmer. There are 2 reasons for the guard. One is to keep the string away from the operator and two it keeps the string to the correct length. Having too much string out causes undue stress on the engine which causes engine to run hotter. This stress will cause early engine failure.
A little paint would be a great help too, good job helping the young woman !

It looks much better. The buildings could be torn down or the fire department could burn them down as an exercise in training. They clear all the rubble away.
