Lake Sabrina Basin to Moonlight Lake

First backpacking trip of the summer season and first backpacking trip post Covid.
7 mile hike from Lake Sabrina to Moonlight Lake
Started the hike getting attacked by mosquitoes and ended the trip with a summer snow storm at 11,500’

Im going up there soon with a few friends and we want to make the hike to your first stop which I believe is blue lake? How long does that hike take and how has the heat been? Thanks for the great content !

Hi Shane! You are correct, the first lake is Blue Lake, and I believe it's 2.5-3 miles from the trailhead. Really pretty area and the mosquitoes were pretty bad. Just be prepared with deet and a head net really helps! Enjoy!
