    Wow, I'm so glad Bo picked both sports and we got to see this man show off his incredible talents. What I like most about Bo? Here is a man, that's probably the greatest athlete ever, and he was humble and kind. I think, for those who know him as a friend, probably say he is a great friend. Thanks for the memories Bo, we appreciate you as an athlete and as a good person.

    @mikem987: Football is what took him out of both sports... It would have been impossible for him to sustain the same injury if he had just stuck with baseball.
    Regardless, Bo is still a legend... We'll be hard pressed to see anyone like him again.

    1:11 Deion Sanders being stiff armed to the ground if you haven't seen the clip before. He did an interview about this play. Only person who could have kept up with Bo speed wise during those days

    He was and is the greatest athlete I ever saw. Even to this day. I can't tell you if there's another person that had the combination of size, speed, quickness was just incredible. Every time he touched the ball, swung the bat or three the baseball something special could have happened.

      @vestibulate Před 5 lety

      Raider Joe Given the yardage he gained during his pro career, compared to that achieved at the same stage by Jim Brown and many others, the answer has to be no, Bo Jackson would not have set those records. He was a great running back, and he would have racked up bigger seasons had he not been forced to share game time with Marcus Allen, but the gap is still there.

    • @vestibulate
      @vestibulate Před 5 lety

      Henry Steel Bo Jackson could do things on a baseball field that were amazing. But he was never in the class of Mantle, Mays, Aaron or Clemente, to name a few. The guy was a .250 hitter with a ton of strikeouts. Spectacular at times, yes. Immortal, hardly.

    Bo said in a recent interview that he had decided, after discussing the situation with his wife, that he was going to just play that one more season in the NFL anyway. So injury or not, he was determined to leave the NFL. But while he was playing, he was the most incredible athlete we've seen.
