I had my worst ankle sprain ever in the NXT 360. I lost confidence in those shoes ever since. My fav are the Kobe 9 elite. I bought 3 pairs because I loved them so much.

I rolled my ankle disgustingly in Kobe 8s... I've switched to Adidas since... chunky, stable and boosty... no ankle rolls... I remember the Don Issue 1 video "problem"... I'm like gimme dat... super chunky and stable...
I never had a pair of Kobe’s growing up, but I wish I did. Recently I went hoopin with a group of friends and one of them (who is a die hard Kobe fan) had a busted pair of Kobe 8 “Year of the Horse.” And I mean busted. The grip was balding, outsole was cracking, mesh was ripped in some parts, and they just looked like a shoe you’d find at goodwill. I didn’t bring my own kicks so I had no other choice but to play in those 8s. I was shocked on how comfortable and sturdy they felt. The gym was 24hour fitness so the court was not the best and the shoes were sticking like glue, they held my foot in like they were new. And they were molded to my buddies feet, but within one game they felt like I’ve had for as long as he did. It was one of the best shoes I’ve ever played in… even though they were busted as hell.
Which is why you should get a used pair of Kobe 8s for your self

The Kobe 7’s was one of my favorites. Lots of people hate it but I loved it. I actually cracked every carbon fiber shank in my Kobe’s but I always assumed it was just plastic with carbon fiber print.
I wholeheartedly agree with you JAHRONMON! The Nike Zoom Kobe 6 are also my best Kobe shoes of all-time. I literally busted my pair (Black Del Sol) playing it on any basketball surface indoors and outdoors for several years, but the uppers continued to hold even though the bottom soles were almost smoothen out.
The Kobe 9s inserts were so good, I placed them on my Alpinestars Tech 5 motocross boots and it felt amazing to ride with

4 5 6 are the best in terms of performance and style, but 8 11 are also good option to hoop in. 9 has the greatest traction, but the lack of support which is caused by the flyknit design made me hurt my ankles three times.

True story the Kobe 9 Elites are inspired by Manny Pacquiao because when Kobe watched Pacquiao sparring he noticed that he was wearing super high top shoes and he asked why and pacquiao said to get more ankle support and that's what made kobe get super high tops. Pacquiao wore them in his fights but sadly he left Nike for Anta.

Ive had two Kobe 9s and one Kobe 8s and they are my favorite shoes ever, even over my Jordans. It's because they look cool enough to go out in, but I can also drop a bucket in them whenever I wanted. My favorite sneaker line ever!

@@JuanPablo-ww5cp I prefer the 8s performance and looks although the 9s have better traction. The 9s are clunky in the heel. This is because the drop in midsole in the 9 sits within rubber and plastic. Whereas the 8s drop in midsole sits within a foam shell. Only the Kobe 8 Elite had Zoom Air and only in the forefoot. The Kobe 9 available on Nike I.D. had an option for Full-Length Zoom Air which I would love to own one day.

Kobe V was the most comfortable and lightest shoe i have ever hooped in. It felt like walking on clouds and the carbon fiber plate kepr my foot super supported doing athletic moves.

Kobe 5’s are my favorite, then the 6’s. Still rocking the OG chaos/jokers and finally picked up the Bruce Lee’s protro. Such a nostalgic feeling.
In terms of visuals, the kobe 4s are the best looking across all foot sizes man, it just doesn't get awkwardly looking small or nba players' type of big.
My top 3 faves when it comes to Kobe's Sneakers are the 6,5 and the 9. 🙏

kobe 11 elites are my fav shoe to hoop in, super low to the ground and stable with the outrigger. harder to roll an ankle in....only downside like you said it the traction doesn't hold up well over time.
Had a pair of Kobe 11 back in high school, worn it out, missed it so much so bought another pair in college, worn that pair out again, and now I miss it again but can't afford it any more. Hands down my favorite basketball shoes all time.

The 4s are my number one on my list. Never had a problem with the shoe. It was more like a mid top shoe. I remember I sprained my ankle once and I was recovered in 2 days in these shoes. I have at least 30 pairs of this shoe

Man, the 3s are my favorite Kobes of all time, they were my first pair too. I was back in junior high and I had to do chores around the house for a while for my parents to get me a pair. They're just so comfy, although the traction was easily one of the worst in the Kobe line. The 8s and 9s are still my GOAT hoop shoes till this day, but they're so hard to find now and a lot of them are starting to separate.

i got the 7s the day they dropped and i remember playing my first game with them and i sprained tf outta my ankle lol. i refused to believe it was because the shoe. that whole season i would sprain tf outta my ankle nearly every single game and it was already too late before i finally came to terms that the shoe might be the cause of my issues. the 8s came out and i never had an issue with those, i loved the 8s, and it further confirmed my ankle problems were definitely from the 7s.

When i was in my teens, i never had the luxury to buy legit and bnew kobe shoes coz i can't afford them. Instead, i bought replicas of kobe 8 black and gold shoes in order to play with my peers and we played lots of pick up games almost everyday. Guess what? I used the same shoes for like 2 yrs, and i played with them really hard. Now i own a mamba focus pair and a kobe 10 pair. They were the best personally.
