Always was a booknerd as a kid, only started casual videogaming last 2020 with God of War 2018. First love never truly dies it seems because after years of eventually playing other games as well, GoW2018 remains my all-time favorite, with the regal and powerful Valkyrie Armor as my all-time favorite armor in the entire Norse Saga! My mental image of Kratos will always be bearded, in Valkyrie Armor, axe in hand. I've spent years wishing for a release of a 1/12 Kratos figure on Valk Armor (heck, I even wished they'd keep the armor in Ragnarok) so to have that now with such razor-sharp detail is nothing but a dream come true! Thanks for the detailed review my friend, I was initially having second thoughts since I thought articulation might be a tad constrained but your review proved otherwise. Preorder done, can't wait! Keep it up, man!

Why have the armor be detachable if the very magnets that make the detachment more efficient actually takes away from the only reason one would want to detach the armor in the first place? That is the definition of nonsense. It had to have been some sort of a fumbled after-thought.
Yeah those magnets might be a dealbreaker for me. It’s an amazing figure for sure but I like having the option to go without the armor.

Thanks for the review! I don’t play the game, but I did recently read a comic book that he was featured in. I was going to get him (because he’s pretty amazing), but it seems he would tower over my Mezco Conan, Death Dealer, Super7 Conan, and Mythic Legions Monkey King display, in which they r battling McFarlane’s Ice Giant and Kikimora figures as well as some Viking skeletons.

Kratos was a playable character in the 2011 Mortal Kombat (9) exclusively on Playstation. If you wanna beat Shao Khan as Kratos, get a PS3, PS Vita, or a PS4, and a physical copy of the game. No more digital purchases available, since the licence for Freddy Krueger had expired.
Those magnets are a legit dealbreaker. Everything looked good up until then. That’s just hideous.

Sick figure, those shoulder magnets do kinda taint it for me, but in general it looks pretty amazing. How do they get away with making these without the license? (I'm also not a fan of the screaming face, doesn't look right.) Might try to grab this one though.

Like, I don't watch every single reviewer out there on a daily basis, but I've seen at least one video of, well, a bunch of reviewers and I really dig your style. I think you, Anthonyscustoms and Jobby are my personal top three reviewers right now, I like how you all have different styles and I like some other reviewers out there but I just appreciate how I can enjoy your 10+ min videos because of the passion you clearly have when talking about this hobby. Cool figure, made it to the end.Looks pretty cool. I like the magnets in the gear but those shoulder magnets are hidious, definitly keeping those shoulder pads on. I think I can guess what that bigest negative on the Friday show is.

Made into the axe portion and it made me comment right away. The details are insane!!! And for the price it looks 100xs better than other companies that charge more for a figure for way less details/accessories.

The NECA figure doesn't have good articulation. It is basically a statue. The price for this figure is standard across overseas third party company figures that have soft good and a lot ot accessories. If you a high-end collector used to these type of figures, they are well worth it. If you are low-end budget collector use to Neca, McFarlane, Marvel Legends... It is not going to be worth it. Not mention Neca is sculpt over articulation. This is a good blend between sculpt and articulation. IMO, there is no point in buying action figures if they cannot pose well due to limited joints; you might as well buy statues at that point.

About the articulation, death is much better dude. About painting and detail, kraros is better but its like 10/8. So considering price, death is like 9,9/10, kratos with that legs articulation, is 9/10

Looks nice, but its not the version of Kratos I want, will always prefer OG trilogy Kratos. Also, you can use Kratos to beat the hell out of Shao Khan in the PS3 version of MK 9 as he is a playable character there

Nah with mezco we would have more Options to dress him and the magnets would be in the schoulders. Its Not worth the 100 $ i cant say it enough Details are not the $ raiser when you See the neca one there is alot of Detail too for a waaaaay cheaper price. 100 $ more and you would've got the Mondo one for 100€ the neca 1/4 Figure.
I've handled a lot of figures and I have the neca one and there's no comparison , many people I'm the comments also have the neca one and they agree no comparison on articulations on detail. But that's just how I feel.
