Both Suga and IU are great at channeling life experiences through their music. The lyric about the "sandcastle" is a reference to his rap in the song "Eight" by IU (feat. & prod. by Suga). This song also hits the same with it's deep meaning and got me into IU's music. If you ever feel like reacting to IU's music, get ready for an emotional rollercoaster. 😂

This track hits you in the right spot. And please checkout his mixtape D2 that whole album will make you feel so many emotions. Conclusion: Agust D 's music is all about that deep shit we all think about but never say it out loud so he says it for us. His music is nothing but raw unfiltered truth and that makes him different from every other artist.

You should listen agust d and d2 mixtapes. it's about himself and this is why he created an alter ego called agust d. in the first mixtape he's really angry and he's younger and in the second he's not so much angry but he's hurt and he's scared about dreaming and future and ask a lot of things. i think d-day, since it's the end of this trilogy will show a mature and a happy agust d but still with some doubts as we all have at any age. Yoongi's mind and creativity is really amazing and when i listened to his songs he became my bias because of his lyrics. he's a very sensitive person. thanks for reacting to people pt2

Yes, Yoongi’s lyrics are always so profound. Songs like First Love, The Last and Nevermind and even Seesaw were written and sung with so much passion. They shared a clip today of Yoongi and IU singing this live and maaan both their voices were so good. Hope you can dive into both his mixtapes before his new album comes out because he did say this album finishes the Agust D trilogy. Always enjoy ure reactions here and in Patreon 💜

yeah, yoongi is such an incredible person. despite the amount of struggles he went through, he still remained the most gentle, empathetic and understanding person I know. the fact that he's mentioned wanting to get licence in psychology to help people like him definitely adds to what I said.
(I mean, I can't imagine how hard it must have been to grow up in the most conservative city of korea while being queer, having adhd, ocd, clinical depression and social anxiety and wanting to pursue music, while your family is strict/not affectionate at all and quite poor as well.)
it just makes sence that he writes like he lived for centuries already.

Yes suga usually does a aggressive rap style but he does sometimes sing like in his other song seesaw, he also said this song would wrap up the last chapter of agust d which is sad to hear but it means he’s grown he’s still gonna do more music but just not under this name the song is really comforting and good

He said it to himself and then he said it to all of us - we're already enough, even when we don't believe it. Min Yoongi - so honest with us. I'm so glad to see him comfortable in his skin and still creating.
I love him singing, and knew we'd get more of it (he mentioned taking lessons, played and sang on his birthday live, likes to challenge himself). And IU is just magic somehow, her voice goes straight through me.
If you haven't seen it yet, you'll absolutely love J-Hope on IU's show Palette - she interviews him and they sing Equal Sign. I knew she was good, but with that interview I fell a little bit in love.
She and Yoongi are both at the top of the industry - acknowledged as some of the best at what they do. I'm not surprised they enjoy working together. I hope they continue to collaborate for a long time.
Thank you for your reaction, which I enjoyed as much as I always do. Borahae 💜

Yes, you DO need to listen to his albums!!!! He and IU also collabed on a song called Eight that is really lovely. We love to hear him sing!!! He has a solo on a BTS album called Seesaw in which he sings also. And absolutely, he is stunning in this video - and also in the Disney + trailers for his documentary. About this song -- I think a LOT of people re-evaluated their lives and relationships during Covid. Because they were trapped, often alone, they had time for the stuff they had pushed to the back of their mind (so they could live everyday life) to move forward in their mind and be really thought about. Everyone is saying "I thought this was about a relationship" --- It IS. It's about ALL your relationships. To ALL the people and pets and things and places in your life. Suddenly, during Covid, ALL those things were not there anymore - whether because of quarantines, deaths, or gradual dissipating of a relationship because they weren't around everyday. And perhaps that made you or us feel like we didn't mean anything anymore, didn't have any value. So, you have to re-evaluate and change. (BTW, Suga is very sweet with a dog in his Photo Folio shoot sketch too)

Yoongi has been through a lot. Please listen to his 2 mixtapes. It's a trilogy which ends with D-Day. Also in the song when he sings So far away you are gone, he has a song on his first mixtape called So Far Away. I can go on and on but again Thank You

The lyrics, the gut-wrenching, so emotional, heartfelt delivery, as well as Suran's beautiful r&b vocals are amazing, so inspirational, meaningful, need to be heard, beautiful song! Suran is a solo R&B artist that Sugar worked with again on her song 'Wine', later on as producer, which he won for Best R&B producer for that yr as well as Suran won for Best R&B Artist that yr as well!! But a loving especially this particular song with IU. Her vocals were just stunningly beautiful. Yoongi has also worked with another equally well know r&b artist Hieze, who he produced for as well, that I don’t recall being react to yet. SUGA is going different direction with this album. He let go of all the anger and with it all the agressive spitting. Now he is more chilled, which is not a bad thing. I love his sound right now. His singing improved as well, by a lot. I wouldnt be surprised if theres a legit folk/rock /alternative rock song on his album. I am just a little worried that there will be people expecting AgustD or daechwita 2.0 and not finding it, starting complaining and hate campaigns. I really really hope this doesnt happen. I want Yoongi happy, at peace with himself, inspired to do all kinds of music, more than I want another hardcore rap song. Just do what makes him happy. Saying all this, i still have zero idea what the album sounds like, of course, i might be completely off. AT THE END, APPLAUSES TO SUGAR.👏👏❤

I appreciate the consideration you put into everything you review - and, in this particular case, also how you listened to this all the way through first before commenting. This is such a beautiful song, in terms of the way Yoongi so eloquently conveyed the emotion of that situation. And I totally agreed with what you said about him as a person, and how the pandemic brought forth such creativity from so many artistes.

hi!! I've been a subscriber for some time now but it's my first time leaving a comment ^^
yes, people is from his second mixtape "D-2"!!! i suggest you listen to it (the whole mixtape is just sooo amazing!!!) , the production and the lyrics are out of this world.
also, he used the metaphor of the sand castle a lot, he in fact used it in their previous collab too!! he produced and featured in iu's "eight", you might want to check that out, another beautiful gem from these two amazing artists.
loved your thought about the lyrics and the m/v, it shows you truly love what you do, it's so refreshing to see reactors who don't fake their reactions or do videos about bts just for the hype.
(ps: yoongi has been taking singing lessons, i'm sure we can expect some more singing in D-DAY!!)

This was such a lovely reaction💜You have a very soothing voice 🤗
I really recommend listening to his first 2 mixtapes- 'Agust D' and 'D-2'.
You mentioned wanting to know more about his life story and he put a lot of it in his first mixtape- Agust D. You have listend to some of the tracks from it already. The lyrics of that album are very raw and is full of different emotions which easily translate through the music. That mixtape also has my all time favorite Yoongi song- So Far Away ft. Suran. (The song also has another version featuring Jin and JK)
The second mixtape D-2 is still one of my fav BTS projects yet. It is an all round perfect album in my opinion and is a whole lot more reflective but still has an edge to it. Some of the things he says in this mixtape have really stuck with me. Plus the production value is just *chef's kiss* and I really recommend listening to it in its entirety.💜💜
You might also want to check out his previous collaboration with IU- 'Eight' in which he produced the sog and also contributed a rap verse. Its such a fun song I used to play it on repeat when it first came out.
    Have a nice Day!!

Actually, I believe the harmonies you mentioned at 11:00 is between SUGA & Adora. On People (pt.1), it was Adora that plays the role of vocal. Their voices mix wonderfully together, perhaps that’s why SUGA asked her to participate on pt.2. You can see her name on background vocal credit!

So no one's ever going to talk about why IU's part which was sang in English, doesn't make sense at all? No one? I mean, I love IU and I absolutely love Yoongi, but what is IU singing? I don't understand what she's saying. No one checked the English lyrics before this was released? No one? Absolutely no one? Anyone? Okay, I'll stop and move on. But that part not making sense at all has partially ruined the song for me. I still love them though. I just don't understand why no one would dare comment about it. All the best for this song still. But I hope someone would explain what the English part means.
