She is a huge SAO fan from a long ago, singing an opening for her fav anime is so poetic, also I recommend "Niji no Kanata ni" I won't give any background to this, I can only say that niji no kanata is really emotional for her and for those who watched the anime but you can feel even if you never watched SAO

I agree with you, Niji no Kanata ni is one of the most powerful and emotional songs in SAO. When I watched the series when the song played it got me to cry, that's coming from someone who has a hard time ever crying. As for your English in that post don't worry about it too much, your English in it was really good. As someone whom it's my only language and as someone who hopes to become a writer let me just say that it is definitely a really hard language all around, grammatically, proper word usage and all XD.

Interesting thing about ReoNa is she got her career start by being the singing voice of Elsa Kanzaki, a professional singer in the SAO spin-off SAO Alternative: Gun Gale Online.
a lot of people say ReoNa copies other artists' styles, but let me just say that not even when she was singing-way before that, I got heavy chills. so glad you like the first takes, there's the original song which sometimes overshadows the artist's talent, and these showcases help bring to the forefront how actually amazing these singers are.
Well, she is literally something between Liza and Aimer, atleast for me. But doesn't it makes her unique anyway? Doubt that anyone can name other artist who's similar.
I can’t think of any artist she copies. I think her sound and way of singing is so unique with the breaths she takes.

So new infact, that her first "album" where the Elsa Kazaki songs for SAO:Alternative Gun Gale Online 2018. And the poeple of the Anime even recreated her Guitar (with the Cat/Paws on it) and even put her finger movement in the Anime so you see infact a live song of "Elsa" aka ReoNa. Amazing is it?

Absolutely beautiful song, ReoNa is one of my favourite Japanese singers of all time, this isn't even her best track imo, some like Nainai(From Shadows House)/Disorder acoustic ver.(from SAO GGO) absolutely showed how incredible her voice is, she also sang the 10th year anniversary theme for Sword Art Online, which is also unbelievably good.

She also sang the song for the one year anniversary of arknights and is doing the op for the arknights anime.
NaiNai is hands down one of my favorites of hers. It gives me the chills in exactly the right way and its music video (and also Shall We Dance's one) is so amazing, a must watch as well imo.
I love Reona, she is one of my favorites. You should watch the fist take of Niji no Kanata ni, another of Reona's songs. Also, Unlasting by LiSA is an amazing song, you will enjoy the fist take of that one as well.
In fact, both songs are Sword Art Online endings.
This song matches the tone of SAO when it's the opening(you'll get no spoilers from me).
The opening version has the sense of sadness still in it, but it's more energetic, and hype.
Both versions are equally good, but version used for the anime is next level.

10:00 its my favourite opening because its the most "emotional" as you said, but Honestly the instrumental and visuals Add SOO much to it that you missed
Reona is amazing, she may not have the technical flawless precision of Lisa, but she show us here you can reach the same emotional goal having a different set of skills. The other great singer of the SAO Franchise is Eir Aoi with Ignite, but that song is by far the most difficult of all the openings and when she try her first take, came too sharp and maybe a little off. So i recomend seeing her Ingnite official video or any life concert of that instead. XD. And speaking of recomendation... you cant talk about anime op with out comenting about Angela ad her vocalist Atsuko. Op of Fafner, Nadesico, Shibakane Hime, Knights of Sidonia and many more.
Reona is out of the world with her almost whispering voice while reaching high pitch notes.. But she isn't the only 'out of the world' vocalyst that isn't well known, try listen to "Hollowness by Minami".. little spoiler: in 1 minute and half she make 2 scream, one 9 seconds long and the other 16 seconds long.
P.s. listen to "Niji no Kanata ni by Reona", her voice is on the verge of breaking for almost all the song.

Gotta say, her voice is just amazing. If you want to hear some more of her songs, she does the Tsukihime remake openings, which paired with the breathtaking visuals made by Ufotable are just crazy good.

My personal favorite opening from SAO because of the connection it has with the story and also very emotional since it conlcudes the longest arc in the anime (which is basically half of the anime lmao). Also the actal opening is a visual delight.
I'm aware SAO is probably not the most beloved franchis but I can't help but feel it as a guilty pleasure, I love it

SAO is actually beloved in the world - it is only hated as much as it is (and mostly in the West) because it is beloved even more in the world :D (Makes it easier to get views/likes on hate content). It's literally adaptation of critically acclaimed Light novel of a decade - 99% of hate's so-called criticism can be casted aside with just simple analysis of the story :)

Found this video yesterday, really enjoyed it, and today I thought and came back to subscribe just in case there would be more SAO content - after so many openings, I wonder how much you'd like the endings - all of them have songs too, and they can hit as hard as this one :D I hope, in case you'll experience the series one day - you'll find its story and general soundtrack no less beautiful, no matter what some say of SAO"s quality :)

I really recommend checking out MY FIRST STORY - Hyena/ハイエナ at THE FIRST TAKE. Hiro (the vocalist of the band) is the younger brother of Taka from ONE OK ROCK and you will be surprised by his unique voice.

For me, Sword Art Online doesn't have one of the best openings soundtracks in the anime world, but THE best openings *& endings* in the anime world. There are all incredible. _(Overlord is not far behind, but still behind it)_

I absolutely agree, I had the same reaction when I first heard ReoNa's voice. She is up there for me personally for artists whose voice I really love with other artists who give me a similar vibe with their soft speaking voices, but really powerful and emotional singing, like Minami, Milet, or Kamitsubaki Studio's Kaf and Rim.
I would also say that this is definitely one of my favorite performances on The First Take, and I definitely recommend checking out her other first take of "Niji no Kanatani".

Ignore the anime communities' percieved opinion of SAO. It is a phenomenal show that spawned a whole genre that has shaped the medium since. Without going overly into why, just know that it became popular to hate on SAO, almost like a meme (similar to Teemo in League of Legends), and as such the vast majority of people that hate on it are just joining the bandwagon with no real substance. As a long time fan of the show I can say for certain that it is not a masterpiece, but despite its flaws it is still one of the greatest anime to ever be made and is well worth a watch.
You should watch Sao. Season 1, 3 and 4 are superb and the show gets better over time.

Can we get a Reaction to Katekyou Hitman Reborn or am I the only crazy fan here? SAO soundtrack is really something and Mother's Rosario theme song hits really hard after you've watched the Arc.
However the story in the Sword Art Online may have gone, I feel like people can't deny it's build upon a dark themes. It's succeeds at some and fails at the others. But people could care, or couldn't care any less, because of the setting of the stories told by each season.
Well, I still consider SAO a solid show, with a quite heavy premise. Quite nostalgic for me too. And that's my personal take.
Gotta keep recommending Gintama openings. They're all amazing.
