Right at the end....as Lisa released that breath and the tension...that's when tears came. I forget how damn much I love her singing.
SAO (Sword Art Online) has 3 main seasons, then 2 more seasons of the Alicization arc (or was it 3? Can´t remember...). Lisa sung most songs. And, it does have many sad moments, but also a lot of bullshit. It´s a consistent 6/10. Which might not be enough compared with Attack on Titan, but it remains a popular show.
There´s also a spin-off show that is actually better than the main series.
Its actually an Ending Song for Sword Art Online. People tend to not notice good endings, so this one was a huge W.

@@GOTGames This is one of the anime that has GOAT song, but mid storyline. There are tons of anime you can try watching first before watching this. Otherwise, you'll end up thinking almost all anime will be like Sword art online when it's not. I can recommend Demon slayer, Haikyuu and Fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood for a beginner.

@@QwertyUiop-ql1hk funny that you called SAO a mid storyline, but recommend demon slayer lol. besides the stellar animation, kimetsu no yaiba is a very common, and simple storyline. SAO suffers from not having a great adaptation, however the source material is great. Demon Slayer has probably an adaptation better than the source, and it's still mid, besides the animation of course. _preparing now for the angry nezuko fanboys_ lol
11:44 It's not a sad anime, it just has some sad moments. It's usually a very enjoyable anime with nice story, some epic fights and a good bit of romance. Mainly focused on a different VR Game in each season (each story arc actually)
True, it's not generally a sad anime, but it's sad moments are particularly devastating (Sachi, Yuuki, Eugeo, and Kirito through most of WoU).
I do actually really want to watch it! The music alone sells me on this anime 💯
@@GOTGames I'd say only watch season 1 and the 2 movies that are complementary canon movies to the story (season1 skip like a lot of content, that content is in the 2 movies released 2021 and 2022).
from season2 and onward I think the story is less impactful and irrelevant, season2,3,4 is just "allright" 7/10, while season1 is like 8-9/10.

Sword art online is very emotional. The MC is always fighting towards a certain goal. There are a lot of seasons, but the very best is the most 2 recent seasons of alicization. Some characters from the previous seasons appear in the show, but the seasons are quite standalone.

Honestly I never cared about anime endings until I stumbled upon this one. This is the best song song I have ever heard! Now I have to watch the endings to any anime I watch from now on. Lisa is just the best singer I have heard of. Every song she made was just a banger. Gurengu, Unlasting, Realize, Adamas, Oath sign, Crossing field,Datte Atashi no Hero, Akeboshi are just to name a few. Absolutely amazing singer even inspired me to write a book(I know weird)
SAO is very much loved in Japan and the rest of the World, its the best selling Novel of all time for a reason. Sadly there is a very loud minority that hates it.
That said, the music of SAO is what hooked me, yet have to find anything close to the SAO music in an Anime (and i dont only mean Openings and Endings).
Nah bro, it's not a minority. Large amount of people hate it. One of the reasons people hate it is because it tries to rip off from berserk specially in the first few seasons. Alicization was a decent watch though. Overall it's a 6/10 anime and the hate is understandable.
If you want an emotional song in The First Take, as usual, I recommend "Shout Baby" performance by Ryokuoushoku Shakai. I love every second and if you listen, I hope you love it too :)
ALSO! If you ever want to know more about LiSA, I highly recommend the documentary published by Netflix (one of the rare things I recommend by Netflix, but I digress). The name of the documentary is: "LiSA Another Great Day", there's also a full concert which is a separate video. I'd highly recommend watching it on your off-time as it's an incredibly heavy journey but one of the most beautiful; bring a tissue box!
I follow many great singers from all over the world but the only one i want to meet atleast once in my life is her. She is out of this world.
You should definitely react to Shout Baby by Ryokuoushoku Shakai on The First Take as well. One of the most outstanding acoustic vocal performances there, even better than the studio version imo and that one is already awesome.
Side note, Shout Baby is one of My Hero Academia's endings, one of the few endings that outshines its season's opening.
I’m so sad I’m 3 days late to this video, I don’t know how I missed it this has got the be her best song by far. The vocals are so powerful and this instrumental is just insane, This was my 2nd most played song in Spotify. Somehow my number 1 song was played over 1k times in a year so I’m guessing I only played this one 600-900 times.
I can't sing to save my life, but when I heard this song it was constantly on repeat for the vocal and emotional talent on display and it made me wish I could learn to sing just to see if I would feel all that she seems to be feeling when she sings this. Beautiful! So happy you've reacted to it
Love LiSA, some of my favourite songs ever are all hers. This is definitely among them. As for SAO, it's not really a sad anime, but it does have highs and lows that come with any story that has life and death stakes to it, and they have the music that capitalizes on the big moments. Not every arc is amazing, but the series is popular for a reason.
LiSA's "unlasting " is one of the endings of the latest arc in SAO . FYI Queen Bee who made ED 11 of Chainsaw Man (Violence ) also made a first take for Kaien .

god, this is honestly my favourite version of this song (and is one of my favourite from lisa other than ichiban no takaramono). the sound is just so clean and it doesn't have as much autotune as the album version so it just end up sounding so much better

I wouldn't call SAO a sad anime in the usual way, but it does have an emotional core which is especially strong in certain story arcs. Four seasons (or three if you count Alicization and War of Underworld as one), in total about a hundred episodes I think. Plus a movie between seasons 2 and 3. And a reboot movie series of sorts which currently has two movies out.
As for The First Take... when you reach season 4 part 2 in Attack on Titan, you gotta react to the First Take performance of the ED, Akuma no Ko by Ai Higuchi.

I would love it if you watched Sword Art Online. It is one of my all time favorites, but it is very polarizing in the anime community, and it basically became a meme to hate on this show. And I actually think this is a very depressing show at times which is part of the reason I love it. It isn’t a heartbreaker every episode the full time, but the themes of the show are very emotional and hit deep for me as one of the shows I feel like I relate to the most. Plus there are a few stab you in the heart tearjerker scenes spliced through as well but also some very funny and happy parts as well.
As for the length of the show, the first season is 25 episodes split into 2 distinct arcs, the first of which is generally well received by the community while the second is not as much. I personally love both still but prefer the first like most.
The second season is another 24 episodes and is also split into 2 distinct arcs that again are received differently by different people as one is much more action focused and one is much more drama focused. Again I loved both arcs but personally love the drama half the most.
The third and fourth seasons total 47 episodes and are one overall arching arc and are referred to as Sword Art Online: Alicization with the second half being referred to as Alicization - War of Underworld which is the part of the show this ending song is from. This entire part of the show was better received by the community than season 2, but I myself still preferred seasons 1 & 2, though I love them all.
Additionally, there is a movie after season 1 called Sword Art Online: Extra Edition, which is mainly recap and skippable unless you want some extra fan service.
There is also a movie after season 2 called Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale which has another LiSA song in the ending credits that I think you would love called “Catch the Moment”.
And then there is also a trilogy of movies referred to as Sword Art Online: Progressive that retells the events of the first arc of the first season but from the perspective of the main female character instead of the lead male protagonist. The second movie of the trilogy is currently heading to theaters next month (at least in the US).
And then finally, there is a spin-off show called Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online that focuses on a complete different cast of characters and is specifically a spin-off of the first arc of season 2.
So the watch order would be:
1. Season 1
2. Recap movie (if desired)
3. Season 2
4. Ordinal Scale movie
5. Alicization
6. Alicization - War of Underworld
7. Gun Gale Online spin-off (or any time after season 2 really)
8. Progressive movies (or any time after season 1 really)
I really hope you listen to the opening and ending of Tasogare Otome X Amnesia, as well as one of the soundtracks of this anime called requiem
