The police has to be like that, it’s an arcade game, ghost fucked up with this game but they also improved many things, because nfs 2015 handing was shit and customisation was shit but they ruined this game with no city racing and shitty speed cards.

They will never remaster those games as they were so good that EA could implement micros but no one would buy them as they would be able to enjoy the game without buying them.
Personally I can never blame the devs who make a game published by EA though as its impossible for them to make a good, balanced & fun game when they will constantly be compared to the money makes like Fifa, UFC & Madden.

It is - none of the games running on FB has any decent sense of speed and an abysmal performance. Just slapping an assload of motion blur onto the proceedings doesn't make it feel "fast". And not being able to push 1080p/60 in 2017 is a joke.
I don't mind arcade racers. What I do mind are racing games taking control away from me every damn time they want to be a movie. With the Burnout games, that never was an issue somehow.

They made nsf 2015, you could've just called that underground 3 really. I mean, the customization, the night, the drifting... it was pretty familiar. Eventhough it failed, they tried so ehhh you're just asking for another remasted of underground...

No future Need for Speed game will be worthy to be called Underground 3, not under the EA we know and hate now.
Why is everyone so pessimistic about this game? I love the nfs series. And, the things I wanted are in the game now! So I'm just gonna buy the game and have a great time. I don't care if it's exactly underground or mw. I just want to have fun, and this game has enough to offer to make it fun. People, stop whining and just enjoy your game.

Everyone’s asking ea to make need for speed like the old days but as soon as they incorporate an aspect from the old games (like many cutscenes) everyone complains??
This is sad, NFS 2015 WAS heading in the right directing, Ghost just screw up by diverging from key car culture aspect in to a blockbuster mish-mash extravaganza that nobody asked for. They literally should keep the setting and add what the community asked for, period. Instead they copy pasted what other racing games have done. All just to stay relevant. Moreover they shoot themselves in the foot for bringing microtransactions and god awful gambling mechanics in to racing game. Fucking disgrace.
This just 2015 with extremely polished physics and day and night cycle and no full motion cut scenes, grainy semi realistic filter F&F influence is great they got handling right this time thats all that matters the burnout tools can F off the microtransactions are in the crew, forza, and almost every game now! they addressed what was wrong with 2015 left out online free roam which can be fixed and cops in freeroam which may never be possible without becoming the glitch fest crapterian kept producing got extremely annoying in rivals which i loved but it was the entire focus of that game and formally brought drag racing back to nfs its not as in depth or as great or as fun nfs underground 1 or nfs pro street but they could get there if they get a chance. They have licensed cars and solid running game the gambling system & micro nobody would ever defend but everygame is doing it. I hope they dont scrap the game a return to burnout crap of 2010 and 2012 The Run was ok but the game ran like absolute shit on console was buggy as hell and the physics and geometry were shit u can tell black box were done with nfs and didn't care to even bug test there game.

i laugh at people who put down a game because they contain microstransactions. forza does but that got a good score ffs. as for this review, fucking dumb. focused on aspects that made no sense, like the sense of speed, which this game has so im really confused as to why they said it doesnt. the missions add something to the game that has never been in an nsf game before and its quite enjoyable imo. and as for the whole cutscene thing, games like uncharted do that quite a lot yet its review score is among the highest. the reviewer simly had the wrong mindset for this game. ps, the customisation was barely mentioned. nor where the derelicts. proving my point that this reviewer didnt have a clue
The good NFS games ended with Carbon, after that it began to go down hill. RIP to my favourite car game...

It actually started to go downhill from NFS Hot Pursuit. The Run and Most Wanted were a bit nice, but the upcoming games were relatively crappy.

Adrian i completely agree some of my favourite memories are of me and my 2 cousins taking it turns on the crash modes and just always trying to one up each other for hours and imo no racing game since burnout 3 has been as perfect
We have become spoilt. Most of these reviewers paid £40 for Outrun 30 years ago and said it was amazing. Surely this does what Outrun done and more

Loot boxes killed most of the games I️ was looking forward to. Shadow of war, Star Wars and now this game. Loot boxes are a cancer if they’re not implemented right. I️ feel like almost every game this year has been sold incomplete because of the stupid loot boxes.
There are literally 2 types of loot box, they include cosmetic items, and speed cards, which you can get in the game anyway
And you get them every time you level up, which is like 15 mins of racing
And dont forget about the stupid people that buys it
there is no "right" implementation of lootboxes, they're gambling mechanics and even if (in some cases) are free mechanic within a game it could still driven unhealthy behaviors to it's user. Just saying.
In case anybody is interested, this game is now $4.00 on the PlayStation store.
I downloaded it yesterday and at this price you can't go wrong.
I know this game got a lot of slack because of microtransactions.... Just don't spend any real money and play the base game!
Why can't we just go to the good old days when we were the driver of the BMW M3 GTR and have a simple story mode like MW or Carbon where we have to win back our respect and get revenge on who ever set us up. Enough with the whole "like fast and the Furious" crap.

It's not bad. I think game is good. as long as good story to it. I will buy, game is worth having but not at the price they are selling it. I will buy it soon. just waiting to price to come down. then I won't have big expectations from it and I will enjoy playing too.

I'm remember in Most Wanted PS2, you literally had to hide to lose the pigs.
The biggest jokes are: No cops as you drive around in the open world. And if you're in a Race and just deviate a little from the track you Respawn.

Need for Greed! This game was only released so that the EA could add another game with loot boxes. Tell you what EA. Just make a game with just loot boxes and nothing else since that's what you're all about at this point anyway. (Replace 'EA' with any other publisher name) Thanks

Seems that this game takes a lot from the Need For Speed mobile game. It’s car customization is nice yet only cosmetic. To tune your car it’s all card based and loot crates. No need to spend money as you accumulate crates through time. But the fact they moved the actual game to basically a bigger version of the mobile is just crazy

How difficult is it to remaster or even remake Underground 2??
Very hard as implementing micros into an enjoyable game means people won't buy micros.
The game is good guys, and I like it a lot, don't follow another people opinions, you have yours too.
I feel like Uncharted influences games to have banter. Other games can’t do it correctly, because it has to funny so its corniness isn’t cringe, and most importantly, they need to be synonymous with the character’s personality. The jokes should unveil something about the character’s perspective, values, past, sense of humor, or personality. It should be something that one particular character would say, otherwise it’s too generic and interchangeable.
It can be kind of amazing how bad writing is still present in video games, because they’re betraying basic principles you learn in any 100 creative writing course.
Also still shame on EA for the micro transactions.

I got this game on disc for Xbox One for $7 and I can't imagine paying anything more. I feel sorry for people who got this when it came out. I do enjoy it though.

ADUPS I played the trial version of the game and could tell that it had a lot of problems. I really wanted to like the game but after playijg the trial, I realized the game just isnt worth investing 60 dollars. You can tell that it lacks polish and needed another year in development. So no, the game is nowhere near great and I think you are just trying to justify your purchase. The game isnt bad and Ill buy it at maybe 20 dollars or on EA access but full price is crazy
The one thing i hated/hate about nfs 2015 was the rubberband steering mechanics (auto steer/countersteer) is that still present in Payback??
Tiago F no the game plays fantastic even with keyboard. But the racecars do handle like they are you can still drift them but you can also win with a grip build

Kinda dissapointed as well. But i think if we give it some time, they'll start patching it up and see what will change. I got the 2015 version few months after the release and most of the annoyence was fixed. Will see. Defenetly wait for a sale.

I'm still gonna buy it, see how it is. The thing is, i'm the kind of person who likes to explore every inch of the map and visually customize the cars I will use to do it. I don't really care about the story or anything like that, I'm probably gonna end up skipping the cutscenes and turning off the dialogue, as it doesn't seem to be important at all to the cliche story.

they should've kept the same concept of Need for Speed 2015, this game really sucks with those stupid Power Cards... Leveling up to buy car parts was way better, now i have to unlock cards for every car in every division which takes an awful lot of time to actually progress through the game. And the driving doesn't feel too great either NFS 2015's driving was way more aggressive.

The last good need for speed was Hot Pursuit/ Most Wanted on the PS3. After that is when it went downhill...

Here's an idea: Underground 3, great handling, actual escaping cops by hiding or outrunning them, car customisation, hire a good movie director who can help by creating a great storyline and make characters 'alive' , with ' alive' i don't mean Arnold Shwarzenegger with cheesy punchlines, my god.. EA, get your shit together..
