Update! CdA Honda has decided they don't want to sell these lifted Ridgelines despite the overwhelming response to this video. We're looking for another Honda dealer that wants the aftermarket performance business, and we'll update again when we find one. If you're a Honda dealer and you'd like us to send all this business your way, contact us!
Want to do it yourself? Here's the link to the Traxda website: traxdaliftkits...
Already got a Ridgeline but don't want to install the lift yourself? Perfection Tire in Post Falls, Idaho has you covered. If you don't live in update Idaho, drive your Ridgeline up, drop it off in the morning, and they guarantee to have it done by the end of the day. Stay at the Coeur d'Alene resort and make a mini vacation out of it! Or, Perfection Tire will be happy to coordinate shipping your truck to them for the install if you don't want to drive it. Talk to Chad Peters 208-773-2178 or online at www.perfectiontire.com. Tell um Motors & Mischief sent you!
Lastly, our understanding is that installing this lift does NOT void the warranty on your Ridgeline. Check out the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975. Manufacturers cannot deny a warranty claim from an aftermarket part unless they can prove the aftermarket park caused the problem. Some dealerships don't want to mess with aftermarket stuff so they just give you a blanket claim that any aftermarket mods will void the warranty. Our advice is to call around to your local Honda dealers until you find one that understands the Act and is happy to work on modified vehicles.

Thanks so much for watching! Thanks again Coeur d'Alene Honda!!
Did you notice any issues with the lane keep assist due to the lift? I’ve read stories of people having transmission, suspension, and system problems when lifting their Ridgelines
Surprisingly enough the ridgelines with this lift on it are exceptional on off road trails.
Actually looks like a real truck now. I’d consider a Ridgeline now if I could get a lift like that.
Right? We feel the same. Thanks for the comment!
Anyone know the tire size
They are 265/60R18 Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek Tires.
@@MotorsandMischief really? I would’ve thought they are bigger
Never thought a Ridgeline could look that much like a regular truck! I really like dealerships that let you customize when you buy, thats pretty cool.
If Honda could implement these accessories on their HPD package without the HPD logo on the side of the tail-gates along side with some underbody they would definitely sell
Right?! Totally agree with you. You listening Honda?
I love the red accents on everything, it’s so pretty. That’s a really cool truck
We love red accents too. Makes us feel like a race car driver lol
I can see Honda making a special package for the Honda Ridgeline like this for people to buy
Crazy that I stumbled across this vid. I'm looking at these things specifically because I'm moving to Coeur d Alene this coming year. Truck looks great!!!
Welcome to Upstate Idaho!!
I used to trash on the ridgeline, but after they got rid of the chevy avalanche looking rear cab, the truck actually looks pretty decent. Would be a nice daily driver. I'm currently daily driving a Silverado 5.3. Gas is way to much right now lol
Right? The looks are for sure much improved over the original and honestly we say the more trucks the merrier! Thanks for commenting!
@49ers Empire V6 has been popular. Its just the Ridgeline was super ugly until the latest body upgrade. Thats all I was pointing out.
The truck is very nice. I didn't think I would buy one until I sat in it and drove it. Very versatile and simple. The trunk in the bed is useful.
I got a Maverick now looking for a larger truck. Let's swap 😂
I just bought a 2022 Black Edition and I'm still under 200miles on the OD lol.
Honda should adopt this change!
Tottaly! Or at least offer it as an option. I think a lot of people would go for it.
great looking truck! How much of a compromise resulted in regards to lifting 3-3.5 have vs. stock? if not too drastic, i might consider these specs. I can't stand the on road comfort of the other mid-size trucks in the market. I understand the tacomas, colorados, and the rest are intended for off-road, however for these trucks are mostly used as a daily driver, and comfort is a huge plus!
We felt it didn't change the ride appreciably. Its a very well done lift kit.
That's exactly what it should look like str8 from headquarters show room floor. Great ground clearance 👏. Fabulous tires. I personally prefer bigger. 20/22 widely chunky threads. There's so many accessories you can keep adding additional settings after each purchase. Great truck I gotta get 1# I hope they upgrade the 2024 edition 🙏 optional request to customize your own favorite product matters
Totally agree! We’re planning a future project where we go ham on either a Ridgeline or a CRV, big tires, big lift, fully off road capable, but built to look like it maybe could have come from the factory, so stay tuned. Thanks for commenting!
Wish Honda would build them like this and not nose down rake.
Uncle Jake feels the exact same way. He's leveled his Raptor, his Ranger before that, his CRV, and a bunch of other vehicles. If you don't haul much, level sure seems better. Thanks for commenting!
It’s super easy and cheap to do yourself though
i have a 2022 ridgeline. love it. best truck i have driven for several reasons. just need to get it lifted because it rides so low and i live in hawaii where our rodes are bumpy. will see if my dealership can put it on
Let us know what the dealer says.
did you get lifted? Any increased potential for flipping with lift?
@@sully02988I just put a 2.5 inch hrg lift kit
On my truck
Lifted with skid plate, eh? Every off-road reviewer has suggested these mods, so this dealer is ticking all the right boxes. Nice. How much do these customizations add to the price?
Yeah we felt like they really nailed it. So we talked to our friends at CdA Honda and they said that each rig is different of course, because it depends on what the truck starts out with, so if you want a brand new lifted Ridgeline, give them a call and they'll give you a price. HOWEVER, if you already have a Ridgeline and just need it lifted, Perfection Tire in Post Falls, Idaho is your go to. They have done a ton of these Ridgeline's, and they're not afraid to do custom work. For a 3.5" lift like what's in the video, the install can run as high as $2200. The price of the lift is $1500 so you'd be looking at tops of $3700. If you don't want to go with the 3.5" lift, Perfection Tire can install a 2.5" for $1200 plus the cost of the lift which can run $1000-$1500. If you'd like a for real quote, call Chad over at Perfection Tire (208-773-2178) and tell him Uncle Jake sent you!
@@MotorsandMischief Thanks so much for the thorough reply.
@@MotorsandMischiefhey! Great video. I wonder if they can do this to a 2023 ridgeline RTL?? Love that look!
yo that ridgeline is fire
That truck is awesome the way it’s set up it’s just well out of my price range probably over 50k easy
Right?! Crazy how expensive everything is right now. Our local dealership offered $15,000 for our 250,000 mile 2002 Suburban 2500 4x4. $15k!! That's insane. Prices are just nuts for everything right now, but we agree this Ridgeline is pretty dang cool.
I got an unsolicited offer on my 2017 Ridgeline for $28K...with 140K miles. Not interested.
Wow the prices are so insane right now! Problem is, even if you sell, buying something is crazy expensive. That's awesome tho on your truck, and glad you're keeping it!
Prob the worst camera lens for seeing the results you need a telephoto lens and to back up so we can get the right prospective
This is great advice! Also, did you know that if you put little knit hats on snowmen, they'll last a really long time in hell?
What is the name of the lift for the Honda Ridgeline? Who is the company that makes it and how do I go about getting one for my Honda Ridgeline?
The answer to literally every question you just asked is in the description. Check it out, you'll be amazed.
Wow I like this, have a 2019 Ridgeline and wondered if it could be lifted great visual and overall review!
You totally can! The Traxda kit will fit your 2019. If you're in the Update Idaho area, Chad at Perfection Tire can install it for you. If not, Traxda can connect you with an installer in your area. Links are in the description, be sure to let us know if you do it!
Not local, but would totally drive to have this done well! Checking out links now thanks!
I don’t want to like this, I really don’t, but an Obsidian Blue RTL-E Ridgeline with those wheels, tires, and that lift would be awesome.
Right?! We feel the same way. "Oh man this thing is so cool!!... wait a minute."
I'm the same way. I test drove a few vehicles recently and I woke up the next morning with the Ridgeline on my mind. Went back and bought it. Told the sales guy that I hate that I like this truck so much lol.
Looks really nice I will say
Everything will may look awesome until the price tag going up. Everything is negotiable, but on the end if I am purchasing any vehicle with mods installed by the dealer after everything is agreed I want all the OEM parts that come from factory including the tires since they will only increase the price without considering deductible on new exchange parts removed from the vehicle.
This truck wasn't for sale by the dealer. It was purchased and then lifted afterwards, so the owner got to keep all his factory parts.
How much "actual ground clearance" was added? I think stock, the Ridgeline has 7-ish inches... What does this lift add?
So the lift is 3.5" in the front, and then the tires are 1.5"-ish larger in diameter. We didn't measure the actual clearance (we'll know for next time), but that should be about 3.5" of lift and 3/4" of tire, so about 4" more of clearance? If we can, we'll stop by and measure it and repost here but that's going to be really close. Thanks for the question!
@@MotorsandMischief Thank you!
Great review
May be a stupid question, but instead of wheel spacers could you just get offset rims to match what the spacer does or not?
That's not a stupid question at all, its actually a really good one. Yes, you could absolutely get wheels with the correct offset to stance the truck properly, and ideally that's the way you'd go. Properly installed, wheel spacers, in our personal (extensive) experience are perfectly safe as long as they are properly installed. However, if you're not careful, they can have a tendency to let the bolts holding them on back off and then you loose your wheel. That won't happen with a wheel that has a large offset instead of spacers. However, custom offsets like that typically require custom wheels, which tend to be very expensive, much more than the $150 a good set of spacers costs. So at the end of the day, your idea is the better one but for cost and availability, most people go spacers. Thanks for commenting!
@@MotorsandMischief in other words do at your own peril
Dear Coeur d'Alene Honda. I am in Spokane and I just picked up a 2022 Ridgeline. Who do I call at your shop to have to do this lift package for my Ridgeline?

@@MotorsandMischief My Sonic Grey Pearl RTL just showed up today!!!!
Sweet! That'll look awesome with the lift! Let us know how it goes!
@@MotorsandMischief Update. I tried to go through perfection tire. It was a bust. I had purchased the lift kit off the Ridgeline forum from someone who had bought one, but never installed it. perfection tire said they couldn't install it if I didn't purchase it through them. Took the lift kit to the downtown spokane Honda dealer (where I purchased the truck), and they did a great job putting the lift on.
Turbo? The fact that the Ridgeline does not have a turbo is what makes it great.
We hear ya, turbos are fun until their not and need work.
you went over the curb bringing it back!
We did lol, actually the service manager was driving it so we could get some exterior shots for you guys but its his lot so we couldn't harass him too much. Thanks for the comment!
I'm a fan of the ridgeline. But I just don't think it's meant to be an off roader. I love the way the lift looks, and I even think the red accents for the suspension components and skid plate will look great. But I'm pessimistic about how the lift and relocation will impact the comfort of its stock ride. To each their own of course, and it's your truck do what you want.
This is a fair comment. We prefer to lift and widebody everything, but it invariably leads to less comfort, more problems. Its a sickness really. However, as the channel grows we do plan to do durability testing, long term, on projects we do, and report back to you guys how well stuff holds up. So hopefully in the future when we put a lift like this on a truck like a Ridgeline, there will be a video 6 months later that shows what 6 months of bombing down dirt roads and forest service trails does to the new parts. Thanks so much for commenting!
That sounds awesome! I think that's the first video I've seen from your channel, good content! I look forward to watching more
Awesome! We're finishing up our Project WJ right now, then we're diving into a bunch of work on our Raptor and hopefully, finally, omg why has it taken so long, we're firing up our F-250 project and about to make some major progress on it. Welcome to the channel, we're really happy to have you!
Guy doing the video has a raptor, ive been wanting one of those as unpractical as it is
Wow.... it looks nice, it is funny that dealer installed that Traxda lift kit, I see Honda dealers installing Jsport lift kits and they are nationwide installed and authorized by Honda Corporation. I would like to know if this guys had installed this lift kit or if they sent it some where, Jsport it is installed at the Honda dealers, I was talking with Jsport and the dealer and they stated that the reason why they go with Jsport is because they follow all the specifications from Honda. I am curious if the warranty will cover that truck at a different dealership in case it needs to go back for a warranty service. Mmmmm... also someone else told me that traxda will void the Honda warranty, can you check it out? IT WOULD BE GOOD TO KNOW! Nice video, I have a Black Edition 2021 with some modes did it by my self and I was waiting for this one.
The JSport kit is only good for 3/4" lift in the rear using their 13-002 kit. This kit lifts the Ridgeline 3" in the rear and 3.5" in the front, which is a massive difference in comparison. The JSport kit won't allow 31" tires to fit because it doesn't do anything to relocate the front axle like the Traxda kit does. If you only want to lift your Ridgeline a little and don't want bigger tires, the JSport kit is great and as you say easy to get installed. But if you want the big lift and the bigger tires, the Traxda kit is the way to go. We put a bunch of info about getting it installed in the description. Thanks for the comment!
How does this lift affect the geometry of the suspension? Do components wear out faster?
They do not, no, that's part of the reason for adjusting the suspension forward with the lower control arm mounts, to keep everything in the same geometry as the factory design. Check out Traxda's website, they've got a pretty good section explaining how they use CNC machining and robotic welders on the parts, and the fit and finish that we observed is really high quality. The larger tires and wheels will put extra stresses on the hubs, but that's true of any vehicle you put larger tires and wheels on. Thanks for the question!
Instead of acute angles you get more obtuse angles
The Ridgeline is actually not that bad.
It really isnt if you give it a chance.
@@MotorsandMischief I'm saying it's NOT bad.
Beautiful!!!
It does look better
Way better, we agree!
It's a nice conversion, but It is impossible to know if the lift drives like the factory without having driven one before. He didn't know how to put it in drive and admitted it; he hasn't driven one.
Yep, you're absolutely correct. We're truck guys, cause honestly a stock Honda Ridgeline isn't a vehicle that would make it on our list of vehicles to own; they seem like really great vehicles just not our style. So this review wasn't so much from a how's it compare to stock standpoint as how does it feel compared to the factory rides of trucks that we do like, like our Raptor, Ford Ranger, etc. So what Uncle Jake was saying is the ride is acceptable enough that if it came that way from a manufacturer, no one would be upset. We weren't trying to say it rides the same as stock. But that's a great point, appreciate you making it and taking the time to post!
I apologize; I didn't mean for it to sound like I was ridiculing you. I also am a truck guy. I'm in my 60s, and I just sold my 19 Silverado fully loaded with the 6.2 V8. I bought it in January of 20 and sold it 6 weeks ago for 7k less than I paid for it with 49k miles on it. The new buyer paid 4k more than I did new. It may seem odd, and I still find it hard to believe I'm doing it, but in three weeks, I'll take delivery on a white colored Ridgeline Black Edition . I dressed it up a bit with some accessories but no lift. The main reason I chose the truck/car was the ride, and it has a bed. We travel frequently and I like to drive my truck. My wife drives a 2018 Yukon, and you can't beat the ride in it. The thing is, she has never liked the ride in any of my trucks on long trips, but the Ridgeline is the best ride of any truck I've ever driven. I've owned F250 Platinum editions, a GMC Denali, and this Silverado. I usually go all in . We live out in West Texas
(Truck County), but everywhere we go, it's a 5 hour drive. So she wins, and I still drive a truck, technically speaking. The fact is that the Ridgeline will do everything I need the truck to do, and it's 20 k cheaper than what I was driving. If I had my way, I'd have a Raptor like you have. I also love the Ram TRX. I had a friend put a 9000 dollar lift on his Silverado, and it drove over washboard roads like a Cadillac on new pavement.
Speaking of lifts and conversions, have you guys done a video on what lifts do to the safety mitigation these new trucks have? The Ridgeline conversion in your video looked great, but the SI says that too much lift and you've basically done away with the Lane departure, and Lane keeps assist functions. This Ridgeline in the video was at the dealer, so I'm wondering if they were able to get the correct recalibration of the windshield camera and the radar behind the Honda emblem. I'm not sure about Honda, but Toyota SI says no lift other than the factory. I own a business that requires recalibration after certain jobs we do. Chevy and GMC have their two inch lift that's factory, and I know the Raptor comes ready to go, but I'm wondering if doing these videos you guys are aware of the repercussions of changing the dynamic of the truck? I think it would make a good video if you haven't already done so .
Oh man, no need for an apology, we weren't offended at all! And honestly, its totally fine if you were ridiculing us, we 're more interested in everyone having a good time than looking like we're smart. And some of our viewers get off some pretty good zingers at our expense (check out our Two Dummies t-shirt on our website!) but we love it, so no worries at all! The market is crazy right now, we're not surprised that you were able to get that much more for your truck. Times are nuts. And we're totally with you. Jake loves his Raptor but Joel wants a TRX. Or a first gen Duramax with a Banks Six Gun kit on it. But you're totally correct, ride is king on long drives. And the Ridgeline is a good truck, and we agree with you on that too. Its a truck, it has a bed and it hauls and tows. If you don't need to tow 15,000 pounds then why have a truck that can do it? Especially when what does fit the bill is $20k cheaper, as you said. As to the camera systems and the recalibration, you bring up a good point we hadn't considered. Time was you could just lift a truck as high as you wanted and not worry about it as long as it went down the road mostly straight but that's not necessarily the case any longer. We do have some manufacturer experience and we know that sometimes the no lift policy is for liability, not because there's truly anything wrong with lifting it. But sometimes not. But you're right, that would make a great video, maybe something like the eFuel video Joel did a while back. We're gonna do some research and we'll let you know what we find. Stay tuned! And, really, thank you very much for commenting, we love chatting with our viewers!
curious on what actual size the tires are
They are 265/60R18 Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek Tires. They spec out to an overall diameter of 30.75 inches. Thanks for the question!
changing the driving dynamics to that extend.... I mean, if you know better than the Honda Engineers... go for it
So its not actually about thinking the lift company knows better than Honda. Honda did not design the Ridgeline to be a lifted truck. If they had, they would have made a Honda version of the Ford Raptor. People have been lifting F-150's for decades, but until Ford did it themselves, there was no lifted F-150's from factory. And interestingly enough, when Ford did create the Raptor, the system they used to lift it is identical to a lot of the lift manufacturers that were lifting F-150s prior to the Raptor. So its not about engineering, its about Honda wanting to choose the height that sells the most Ridgelines. If they did sell just a lifted Ridgeline, would they sell as many as if they sold it at the height it is currently? Answer, probably not. Since the majority of people who buy a Ridgeline would never want to lift it. But that doesn't mean that in 5 years you won't see a factory R-spec Ridgeline that uses essentially the same lift kit as this model but from the factory (and there are quite a few instances where manufacturers have gone to aftermarket companies for their lifts for special edition vehicles). Thanks for commenting!
@@MotorsandMischief its not about lifting. but you moving the wheels towards the front of the car. Changing the steering and driving dynamics.
Yep, exactly. Just like Ford changed the steering and driving dynamics of the Raptor by lifting it. Lifting a vehicle for sure changes the steering and driving dynamics. But change isn't a bad thing and just because the vehicle's steering and driving dynamics are changed doesn't mean they can't be safe and perform well. Thanks again for commenting, we love the discussion!
There is a lot to these bigger lift kits, to keep the original angles. There is more to it than a Ford, Chevy, or Dodge. Like you have to drop the sub frame. Meaning you don’t get the full lift you are seeing.
There is no turbocharger on that V-6 2022 Honda . I own one and the engine is awesome.
Yeah he didn't mean turbo like it had a turbo, he meant like it took off fast, poor choice of words on our part. He should have said vtech kicked in yo! Thanks for commenting!
I have a 2021 RTL-E and I'm curious what this modification would cost including labor.
We've got links to the part cost in the description so you can check there to make sure prices haven't gone up with everything going on these days and then for labor, other viewers have been reporting $2000 - $4000 local labor. If you want to bring the truck to North Idaho, there's contact information for Perfection Tire, the shop that did this one here in Post Falls; they've done a bunch of these installs and can take good care of you. Thanks for the question!
I find it interesting that if you call Coeur d’ Alene Honda their service department said they DO NOT install third party lift kits on Ridgelines. It voids the warranty apparently. So this video doesn’t quite add up. I would love to hear a reply to this.
Yep, we’ve gone over this in the comments but happy to address it again. The sales manager at CdA Honda, who owns the truck in this video, told us his dealership was gearing up to offer this service. Then, the general manager put the stop on it and said they actually wouldn’t. We’ve included the info for Perfection Tire in Post Falls, who will install the kit and has done lots of them. Regarding the dealerships claim that the kit will void the warranty, you unfortunately spoke with someone who doesn’t know what they’re talking about, and that does happen at dealerships all the time. Installing this kit does NOT void the warranty, per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975. That’s how you see all those lifted trucks and Jeeps offered by other dealers. Honda won’t warranty the new suspension, but why would they? It’s not their suspension. But they’ll warranty the rest of the vehicle and the suspension system is warrantied by the suspension company. Dealerships come in all shapes and sizes and our advice is to call around until you find one that does performance mods to their new vehicles; they’re for sure out there. We thought Honda CdA was going to be one of those but sadly they pivoted so we’ll have to find another. Thanks for the question.
Do the CV joints hold up?
We don't have extensive testing on this rig, of course, but our guess would be they will hold up just fine. Honda makes a good product, and if you're starting with a quality CV joint, the increased angle shouldn't be a major detriment to the part. We say this having put thousands of miles on lifted Chevys, Fords and Jeeps that also use CV joints, as well as just the general industry acceptance of lift kits that go 3, 6, 8 inches or more on vehicles with independent front suspensions and CV joints. That said, if we get any negative feedback from the owner of this rig, we'll be sure to post it for you guys. Great question, thanks for asking!
Was the "grommet" sound the tire rubbing when turning?
We call it a groink and it’s from the polyurethane bushings in the lift kit. Last longer than rubber but make more noise if you don’t grease them well during install. Thanks for the question!
I think he means bushings
So im wanting to lift my RL. I have a lifetime Powertrain warranty on my truck. Im wondering if i do lift it will it void my warranty.
So thanks to the Magnuson-Moss Act of 1975, simply having an aftermarket part or modifying your vehicle cannot void your warranty. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act states that a dealer must prove that aftermarket equipment caused the need for repairs before it can deny warranty coverage. That said, there are dealerships out there that will give you a hard time if your vehicle is modified at all, and there are other dealerships that go the complete opposite and will install lifts, superchargers and whatnot on brand new vehicles before they even sell them. Our local Ford dealership is like that; they'll install a lift and and a supercharger on your brand new F-150 and then they'll make sure you have no warranty issues if there's a problem with an unrelated part from Ford. So our advice is to talk to the Honda dealerships near you, tell them what you're thinking of doing and see what they say. If you have one that freaks out, there's no point in getting the lift until after you're out of warranty. But our experience has been looking around a little will find you a dealer willing to help, even if it means you have to drive a little farther to get to them. Thanks for the question!
Dealership here in san diego did this to a new ridgeline and posted a $9,995 upcharge on the lift and tires
Whoa Nellie! For $10k you could buy a stock one, drive up to Coeur d’Alene and see our friend at Precision’s Tire, let them do the lift and tires while you have a mini vacation at the resort, drive the lifted rig back home and STILL be a few thousand ahead of the game. Crazy!
I'm in San Diego and want this build also. 10k?! Wtf!
@@zeric_ I am in San Diego too (have you done/found) any place that can work on the truck if yes can you recommend them?

I watched another video review of a 3.5" Lifted Honda Ridgeline and the gentleman stated that it felt Top Heavy when taking corners and making turns, however, it sounds like it wasn't an issue in this review. If you have driven a Factory Honda Ridgeline, are you able to share if there was any difference at all between it and the Lifted version in regards to Top Heaviness? Thanks for your time.
Great question! This truck did not feel top heavy to us, and Uncle Jake was surprised at how "factory-like" the ride was, compared to a non-lifted truck. This particular example did have wheel spacers to widen the stance, and that may have contributed to us feeling more confident hooning it through the corners. To sum up, did not feel top heavy at all. Thanks for the comment!
@@MotorsandMischief Thanks for the info. I imagine that the Wheel Spacers corrected any potential Top Heavy issues. Are you able to share where the Wheel Spacers can be purchased? Also, do you know where the Skid Plate can be picked up? Thanks again.
That we'll need to find out, but we're on it. We'll post here again as soon as we get an answer!
@@MotorsandMischief In the video it sounds like you're saying they use 1.5" spacers? I'd like to copy this set up, so would just like to confirm they're 1.5"?
Spoke with Uncle Jake, can confirm they are 1.5" spacers.
What is the tire size on the lifted Ridgeline?
Great question, they are 265/60R18 Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek Tires.
Interested I's it still available or do you have another with the same build ?
Thanks for the comment! This one is sold but Perfection Tire in Post Falls, Idaho has a ton of experience lifting these, and will lift any Ridgeline for you. You can buy one at CdA Honda and have it lifted or take the one you have to Perfection. All of their info is in the description!
What turbo? Kicked in?
No no our bad, Jake said turbo like "kick in the afterburners!" Not that it has an actual turbo. That was a poor choice of idioms on our part. We should have said VTEC kicked in yo!
The first time I've drove a touch transmission was in the army many year's ago, I could put a truck on six wheels drive that easily
But can you fit 33’s?
You cannot. But we really want to try cause we think a Ridgeline with 33s would look awesome! @Honda what about it? Loan us a Ridgeline and we’ll figure out how to out 33s on it!
Thats a fracken van with the back cut off!
HAHA 😄
Whats the size on tires
They are 265/60R18 Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek Tires.
Why do people want a level riding truck don’t they ever carry anything in the box? I’ve hauled a few loads of topsoil myself. I have a Ridgeline it’s a great highway truck but I wouldn’t bother modifying it like because you still don’t have low range like a real off road truck.
Very good point. Even lifted and looking cool with additional clearance, you would still not want to load it more than the factory rates it for.
How much does this lift cost?
The kit is about $1500 and the labor to install it will vary by installer. Kit, tires and labor you're probably going to be around $5k, but it varies by installer and what type of tires you go with. All the contact info for the installer on this rig is in the description. Thanks for the question!
Way to run over the curb on your way back into the lot! ROFL.
That was a test of the rear suspension, works great! lol
What’s the name of the lift
All the info is in the description but to make it easy, Here's the link to the Traxda website: traxdaliftkits.com/product/kit-222050-2017-2019-honda-ridgeline-2wd-4wd-awd-3-5-lift-kit/
How much cost for the lift?
Prices are going up a bit on everything these days, sadly, so we're not positive but check the description for our notes on how to get it installed, for the lift and the install and tires you're going to be around $5000-$6000, but it all depends on where you buy the lift, who installs it and what tires you go with.
@@MotorsandMischiefa lift is not 6000 buddy
The only thing I don’t like does not have shift knob 🤯
We keep changing the radio volume or the A/C fan speed when we mean to shift out of reverse and into drive.
Nice
How about a turbo or supercharger and lower it down . I have no use to go into the woods . Not a farmer or hunter .
That sounds like a fun build to us! Lets boost this puppy.
Vtec is low key turbo power haha
haha vtech kicked in yo!
Its too low
We want to put 35's on it.
Ugh, hate car videos using such a distorted wide angle lens. You want to see the car without all the curvature caused by the lens.
We have the same argument here!! Some of us hate the curvature but CERTAIN camera operators insist it’s the better way to go. We’ll add your vote to the No Wide Angle column. Thanks for the comment!
@@MotorsandMischief Oh geez, I didn't think you would read or reply to my comment. Sorry it sounded kind of rude. Appreciate your videos.
Cool so just add an adequate transmission cooler and a VCM disabler and drop the price by at least 10k and it could almost contend with actual trucks LOL
Nonsense... video..!
Hey Roy! Thanks for the comment! We're always looking to improve, what could we do better so its less nonsense?
0:24 not a CRV
You are absolutely correct, this is a Ridgeline and not a CRV. I was referring to this CRV that we lifted in this video below. I will do a better job next time explaining. Thanks for the feedback! Check out the lifted CRV here - czcams.com/video/9UN1ty_U_tc/video.html
