    Awesome truck, man. Just bought the 2024 Honda Ridgeline Trailsport, which is the replacement for the RTL-E. Absolutely love it. Ridgelines just don’t get the respect they deserve.

      I was about to get one too, but it didn’t seem like you got enough features for it to be more expensive than the rtl for me. Luckily they still had one last rtl-e from the previous year that nobody wanted because it was white with a brown interior. I was able to get a pretty good deal on it. But yeah, this is my second ridgeline and it’s the best truck there is no matter what the haters say.

    Good info, thank you. I've slowly been upgrading my 2019 RTL-E in a similar manner, nothing crazy but for a little better functionality. The J Sport leveling kit is on my list. Love the MBRP exhaust you installed, which I didn't even know existed - looks great for the price. My Vredestein Pinza A/T's are the same size as your Falkens, and going to be installed in a couple days.

    Loved watching this video - thank you for sharing your experience. Your Ridgeline looks so good! I have a '22 Ridgeline RTL-E, and just replaced the stock tires with Falken Wildpeak AT4W (265/60/R18), which lifted the truck over an inch with zero rubbing. My truck looks soooo much better with new "shoes". After seeing your video, I plan to add the 1.5" Jsport leveling kit to the front end. Thanks again for sharing your experience - very helpful.

    Outstanding video presentations!! I do have the 2023 BE Ridgeline. I dislike the nose dive look. Maybe my imagination but seems like the Ridge was quieter in tire noises. Meaning the horizontal lines on asphalt paved roads every 20’. Jarring and loud. But maybe just the construction of the road. As other paved roads all ok. Have the OEM Firestone Destination 17K miles. But like the Wild Peak

    Hello, are you using the factory wheels for wider tires?

    • @828findadventure
      @828findadventure  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yes factory OEM 18” Black Edition wheels, and NO spacers. The wider tire looks great. If I got new aftermarket wheels I would go a half inch wider and lower the positive offset. That would move the wheel out even with the fender and flare.

  • @SoloFantasy
    @SoloFantasy Před 3 měsíci +1

    Hello, what's the CV angle after the leveling? I just checked my factory '24 RL, the CV is pretty much 0 deg flat. I'm worried about the CV stress.

    • @828findadventure
      @828findadventure  Před 3 měsíci +1

      If the lift was let’s say over three inches the angle becomes extreme and can cause premature wear. Before purchase I did a lot of research and from what I can tell staying 2” or lower is the sweet spot. That also goes for Tacomas and Tundras they each have an CV angle threshold.

    HEY how much of a mpg drop have you noticed WITH THE NEW TIRES AND LEVELING KIT?

    • @828findadventure
      @828findadventure  Před 2 měsíci

      I haven’t got it out on the Hwy lately to measure. Around town I’ve lost 1-2, mostly because we’ve also installed a MBRP exhaust system. LOL love the way it sounds. As for the lift, as with any vehicle, raising or lifting it causes lots of drag underneath unless you add a spoiler up front. The natural rake of the OEM Ridgeline’s is what got it such great gas mileage. Sorry I don’t have an answer, but the RL is still better than my lifted 4x4 Tundra. 😂

    Any feel for the change in gas milage?

    • @828findadventure
      @828findadventure  Před 3 měsíci

      I don’t get many highway miles anymore. BUT, with the lifting of any vehicle the creation of more space underneath creates more drag. On any vehicle expect 1-2 mpg less. The nose down and a little spoiler of an OEM Ridgeline really helps squeeze out a few more MPG. Roof racks equipped with load bars did the same thing by increasing drag. Thanks for watching.

    Any changes with your gas mpg?

    • @828findadventure
      @828findadventure  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yes, but we just use it around the city now so it’s hardly noticeable. The rake of the stock Ridgeline contributes to better gas mileage. A lift on any vehicle even one inch produces drag.

    • @Antimatter.
      @Antimatter. Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@828findadventureI would say the extra drag from the wider and heavier tires will also affect mpg’s

    • @828findadventure
      @828findadventure  Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@Antimatter. if the tire was an E- Load Range and a lot heavier that would happen. The real negative is the height of the lift. Even 1.5” of lift causes a lot more drag underneath. I could fix that by fabricating a spoiler for the front bumper maybe five inches.
