It's the three of us sitting in the truck, with a big stuffed monkey. I think we were ... under 10 years old at the time. And that was the coolest truck in the world to us. The first episode of BJ and the Bear or the pilot movie named The Foundlings, featured BJ (Greg Evigan) driving a '78 Kenworth K100 "flat top cab over.It was not an aerodyne with the double sleeper. BJ did not drive the aerodyne KW until the first regular "hour long" episode which was titled "The odyssey of the Shady Truth"

If that was one of the original BJ and the Bear tractors, then it should of had a plate on the dash saying that the truck was built for NBC Studios like the real BJ and the Bear trucks did. The owner would have made a point to show you the plate on the dash if that truck had one. I think that was just a red/white “Salem” paint scheme Aerodyne. It’s cool, but not a BJ and the Bear screen used truck.

I saw a program a few years ago, they had the real original BJ And The Bear truck.
They restored it, and took it back to the factory where it was built.
When they restored it, they found a steal plate under the cab.
The steal plate, had the original guy, that built it,he welded his name and date, and BJ & The Bear truck,on the steal plate.
When they finish restoring the truck, when they took it back to the factory, they found the guy that built the truck, and gave him the plate with his name and everything on it.
So unless you were with the TV show, and already restored it 5 years ago, that probably isn't the original BJ And The Bear truck.
    Sorry!!

  • @bowslap

Appreciate the video, the guy has amassed a large collection.....but isn't doing it a bit of good letting it rot. Guarantee if he sells anything, he'll have a BAD case of "Barrett-Jackson Syndrome" and think he's sitting on a goldmine. "I know what I got".....the Bicentennial Aerodyne IS rare, but needs a TON of work to make it worth anything. The '85 "Liberty
Edition" is nothing more than a parts truck, unless he strips others on the property for parts(which would make sense ONLY if the guy has any intention of doing anything with it). The "Lookalike" BJ And The Bear K100 Aerodyne....yeah, not buying it's a legit series-used tractor unless that dash plaque is present. Otherwise, it's just what was ONCE a very nice cabover KW with a famous paintjob. That faux Lambo doesn't look as if it's EVER turned a wheel under it's own power....9 times out of 10, that whole collection will be crushed either when he croaks, or county zoning condemns it. Bit of a shame...
