Looking at that 200 foot drop is nuts, because the sides are all bricked, meaning that someone actually placed every single one of those bricks, way back when it was built. Imagine being a brick layer and bricking that entire drop!
My naibour was a well digger and bricking from the top down is interesting
There is a good video on yt showing how Fred Dibnah built a vertical drop, brick lined mine shaft in his back garden using the traditional methods.
It's quite interesting and worth a watch if you want to know how they build these old mines?👍

@@sachasresolve No, they basically use a round metal jig which is the same diameter as the hole you're sinking, dig down a few ft, put your jig in the base lay your courses of brick, tie them into the surrounding ground.
In rocky ground I guess steel tie rods sunk far into the rock and brick?
Dig down a few more ft and repeat.

Even if the alarm went off it could be hours before anybody arrived with keys to get access to the plant plus they may flag it as a false alarm.
Was that a gas leak at 24.40 Matt 😂😂. Fun fact 91% of alarm activations are false alarms. The monitoring company will only respond when more than 1 zone has been activated. This indicates movement on the premises and is therefore a verified activation. I think I counted 3 PIR sensors. Expect a response from a security company via the main entrance
Far out that would have got the heart racing to get out , but remember once you got yourself down to the lower tunnel system again even if police or security arrived at seen no one is going down to the tunnel system to check , they’ll just inspect the main buildings on ground level for any open doors etc. Really good video and very intense once the alarm went off , great find guys.

It just shows how vulnerable our primary systems are, if it is so easy for these guys to get access to drinking water supply then consider that any bad-minded saboteur could do the same and poison our water.

I know exactly where that is and everyone that lives in Dover and in the dover area. Every time I've gone past that place, there's always workmen in there in the daytime. So im not surprised it's belled up. Didn't you see the motion sensor, at 20.50 into the video

I was driving home (I live very close by said location) and thought I saw two shady chaps checking out the wall, lol . Even in the last few day I throught certain rough ground had been walked over and wondered what sameone had been up to. I really do enjoy your videos and content but sometimes I think some of it really should be for your own enjoyment & not in the public domain. This active station plays a big part in our local area and if something was to happen to it, well, i'd hate to think of the possible outcome's or even if someone wished harm on our community. To those that read this, I not being a troll but just a local who does care and worries about locations like this when active, no matter what the domain. At the point on writing this over ten thousand people have watched it, that has to be food for thought.

As an explorer myself, I love what you do, and you should go everywhere you can reasonably walk into..... it's a bit worrying how insecure some places are, it's basically infrastructure, good job you're not a terrorist, and the only thing potentially explosive was that bit of methane on the way out !
We always say . We heard an alarm and went to investigate . So we could alert the Authorities .

I install motion sensors and u can walk very very slow past them without setting them of. And a golden tip. Use your camera at night without a flashlight. Camera's with infrared night vision will shine bright on your cam but with your eyes its all black

It was shrimpton matt the press says he got charged with a hoax bomb at the 2012 Olympic games and the second charge is having a memory stick wit 40 indecent images of children he said it was a set up he had to sign the sex offenders registration

i had to drop some parts off to this place some years ago.i had to see the on site manager and give the parts to him in the main building .anyway i gave him the parts at the door ,and i asked if a could have a quick look around and take some pics NO he replied ,ITS OFF LIMITS TO ALL GENERAL PUBLIC.He wouldnt chance his mind i laughing said WHAT YOU GOT ALIENS HERE ? and walk off .
