I had the same issue. I bought one from Appliances online 3 weeks ago and the light just kept flashing. I called Appliances on line and sent them a video and they replaced the unit 2 days later, when the second unit arrived it had the same issue the light was flashing and was not heating up. I called Philip and told them about it and they gave me a return authorisation on the spot without asking further questions. Then the Philips operator told me to go buy the unit from another retailer and to ask them to switch it on before I left the store to make sure it was working properly. Unfortunately everyone is out of stock until September so I am wondering if it is a batch problem. I also noticed the quality of the material used on the new Perfect Care 800 Series is made out of very thin plastic which is very fragile compared to my last unit I bought 12 Years ago from Myer where I paid $600.00 for it.. Philips you need to step up your game or you will start losing customers with the quality materials you use to make appliances.
