- Decided to consciously record a Nightbird life from start to finish; I played more calmly and thoughtful than usual and ended up with a pretty respectable run, playing conservatively yet trying to aid the team.
Were it not for the absurd 20mm flak cannon that for some reason even the hovercraft has now, the run could've been a lot better.
Well I hate heli and planes but i have to admit that you are a beast! such skill is to be respected

amazing. what button brings you to 1st person and back to 3rd? ive been using F1 and F2 but when im in 1st person, it wont let me control the heli. im doing something wrong
The default keybind for switching camera is C, what F1 and F2 actually does is switches your seat, so you are switching to the co pilot seat and thus cant fly xD understandable mistake because the 2nd seat is also in the cockpit.
C switches camera in all vehicles
F1, 2 etc keys switch seats

Easy lobbies like these are a blessing. Most of the time i hop in the littlebird its nothing but constant AA and enemy helis on my nuts that eitger keep me from getting to close or i gotta stay focused on the enemy aircraft all game.
I wish it was so easy to fly a heli in War Thunder 😅

Just a lot of practice - I dont even have aim that good though
With the heli, you have to make a speed nerf or remove the Shift key, as well as remove the self-repair.
You're just completely wrong and have no clue what you are talking about whatsoever. The nightbird is, contextually, extremely weak and easy to counter. 1 Lis, 1 Rao, 1 Wildcat, 1 gunship, 1 tor tank, a single one of either of these can kill the nightbird with no chance of counter.
And its easy to tell you're clueless because of what you say about the shift key; throughout this whole video I did not press shit once, shift us completely useless. Its not a turbo accelerator, its an auto stabilizer that is completely useless for any remotely competent pilot, and a noob trap for newbies.
It's a lot of practice to get to this level, 99% of helicopter players die in 2-5 minutes. When I'm not in the air, I usually focus on destroying helis and it's way easier to learn to destroy vehicles than control them.
When 1 focused enemy is trying to destroy the heli, it's not easy to get kills like in this video.
this reminds me of why i gave up on battlefield... at age 55 i dont have the reflexes to go up against players like this.....
Yes, he is very good but it also was because enemy team basically didn't want to counter him. One good Lis player could take him down.

Do you have some kind of special setting? I just can't move that fast in a helicopter for some reason.
@@Sl4ser i have my field of view set to maximum which might make it look faster, other than that its just a matter of understanding how to manipulate the flight physics to maintain as much momentum as possible - at this point I do it mostly out of intuition, maybe one day ill make a tutorial

@@adamspecs9799 yes I have spacebar and alt for pitch up and down respectively, however you must know that there is another control scheme that is used by the top pilots which is called rifle aim, which is way better for aiming than the default - I myself dont use it because I'm too used to default - in rifle aim you bind the mouse to x axis of aiming the heli, and the rotation to A and D

Not to be disparaging but piloting a hind is hardly as complex as a nightbird. The hind is virtually immortal.

This is one of those - if I were in your position killing only a fraction of what you achieved. Enemies would be full tilt ignoring objectives, aiming at the sky from their spawns

Have been like this from the first lunch off the game . No nerf at all , tanks , hovercraft , jets , helicopters just destroys game play and takes forever to kill . Remove self repair Battlefield !
