I'm Fixing Everything That's Broken On My E46 Touring!

After 5 years, almost to the day, I’m finally presenting to you a new video on my 2004 E46 325i Touring! The last time this car was in the spotlight on this channel was in 2018, when I filmed a short 3.5min video dropping the subframe and replacing my cracked oil pan! After 5 years, and plenty of comments asking about this car in the background, I finally gathered enough parts to go through the entire car inside and out and, not only bring you guys the content you’ve been demanding, but giving myself what feels like a brand new car!!
In this episode, I go through some issues in the engine bay, disassemble all of the suspension, clean everything thoroughly with my new parts washer, and install all new components courtesy of my friends at FCP Euro and Fortune Auto Coilovers! I’m unbelievably excited with how the car has turned out so far, and I can’t wait to show you guys part 2 of this series next week to see the final result!

I just Wana suggest replacing your cluch fan .. this is not a part that just gets cleaned and slapped back on. Eventually the plastic blades snap off from becoming brittle, slicing up power steering lines and belts the worst is when one comes up and dents the hood from the inside out
You might want to replace that fan clutch so it doesn't fail catastrophically and take out all your hoses and hood tho...
For those that don't know, motor mounts cause fan clutch's to fail, not the fans themselves. Long as you keep mounts up to date you're good!

For sure! I plan on replacing it soon, I just ordered such a massive amount of parts and this was one of them that just slipped my mind ahead of time!
Electric fan conversion is really where it's at imo. Quieter, easier to work on. I believe all manual e46's came with them.
the attention to detail is just so amazing. and the fact that this is shot on an iPhone is just proof you don't need a crazy expensive setup to make great videos. your editing skills are fantastic. can't wait for the next one. I'm glad your back to creating and entertaining us.

I was wraping my head around like why his edits on point and the picture is clear but it was missing something I can't seem to figure out.
This have might answer my question or not but if this shot on something else, woukd the video be a little but different or the other youtuber use different edit techniques overall??
Hey Aidan! Just wanted to give a tip on removing wheels that way you don't have to sit under the car kicking it while its sitting on jack stands...
Leave 1 bolt on the wheel hand tight and hit the inside of the wheel on the tire with a large rubber mallet. Wheel should come off in 2 hits tops, plus when it comes loose it wont roll around the floor, it'll get caught by the bolt you left in! Another well made video.
35 minutes of pure therapy and relaxation for the mind and soul.

Just a tip: when a wheel is stuck on the hub try to leave one wheel lug nut in with just some turns so if you have to kick your wheel it doesn’t fall of

Just leave a stud half tight so the wheel doesnt fall and you can hit it safely!! Or add some copper grease now😝
copper grease actually causes corrosion if you have alloy wheels

Love your car bro, makes me miss my E46. Everytime one of these videos pops up it brings back nostalgic memories of the great time with that car. May I make one suggestion I made to my E46 that paid Dividends. Switch from that fan clutch to and electric one. My car never overheated, worked great and was super easy to install and remove when I had to get in there which is anytime you need to do anything under the hood lol

Gotta love a nice southern rust free car! After that update, it's looking close to new. I just hope those bushings, joints and axles hold up to that aggressive drop. As for the fenders, they may very well have been orignal paint, but with these cars pusing 20 years old, fading is a problem. If the factory replacement fenders came off different cars, how much sun they received and the latitude from where they were sourced could have a big impact on matching.
