    Good idea, thanks for sharing. Batteries are DC voltage. Typically 12v for your marine battery. Household appliances with a standard plug / outlet connection are 120v AC. Your inverter converts DC to AC - but can only power low wattage items like cell phone chargers and small lights. You would need a larger generator to provide power for things that require higher wattage - power tools, microwave, etc.

      Exactly, works perfect for everything you would need to camp. And any tools we take are battery powered as well and we charge them ahead of time.
