Try salt , baking soda and vinegar
Never seen this system for cleaning copper and brass, very interesting. I subbed to you.😎😎⛏⛏🔥🔥
You can also mix 1cup vinegar with 2 tablespoons of xanthan gum to make a cleaning gel. you do have to wash it all off though or the xanthan gum could leave a film. Mix it in your blender or food processor
Great, perfect, who knew? Thanks!
happy to help
Wow I never knew ketchup could do that. Thank you for sharing ⭐️
Me either!!!🙂
Toothpaste and vinegar will clean copper coins really well. Also there is a product called Tarn X found in most stores.
you wont be able to sell a valuable penny after a vinegar
Put lemon juice drop Penny's in and take salt shaker sprinkle salt it dorks amazing I don't put bunches of Penny's but they look brand new
Good
Job done cleaned smart
:)
Batman, stop the presses!!!!
You said, "It cleaned it very well." Proper use of descriptive adjective. 🎉🏆🎉
The ELA Teacher in me swooned hearing you say that rather than "cleaned it very good."
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
use denture cleaning tablets for 5 minutes and rinse without touching like fill your soaking container up and just let it run over for a minute or so
I suggest you use an old toothbrush than using a wool scrubber to penetrate the grooves. Secondly, instead of washing away the ketchup, scrub the items with the ketchup and see the difference. Once the scrubbing is completed wash away the items. Pat them dry.
A soft one....
The before and after are not the same coin. Different dates?
I have often used ketchup even on silver.. it is perfect because of acidity... ;)
If you are going to scrub them with the steel wool, why bother with the ketchup? Just wet them and start scrubbing.
Lol, the ketchup makes the gunk easier to remove. Same concept with spraying a bathtub with a cleaner before you scrub. Let the cleaner do the work, loosen up the gunk, then scrubbing is a whole lot easier👍
I have copper chess pieces and I cleaned them with your method, they came out well, except they have this white residue in their grooves.
i have the copper chessmen they are so green..do you know any history of the copper chess pieces
Steel wool...😂😂😂
Why not use a sand blaster. Instead of silicone use ground walnut shells. It will clean and not remove the surface metal.
They taste better with mustard
Just don’t forget that cleaning valuable coins will significantly lower they value, so this cleaning should only be used on common coins.
I'm surprised people like their coins dirty.
@@CleanWithConfidence Any coin collector and even amateurs know that you NEVER clean coins. Discolouration, scratches, swirls abrasions destroy any value a coin had.
I taps also because cleaning will typically start to remove thin layers of the cladding or outer polish of the coin or what remains of the original polishing
@@CleanWithConfidenceWell, your method of "Cleaning" is abrasive and strips materials off of coins. Any remotely skilled coin dealer will easily be able to spot that a coin has been damaged by cleaning.
@@BLADESLADE357 It's just a matter of perspective. The coin is not "damaged" after I clean it. It look beautiful whereas before it just looked plain nasty.
I am a penny hunter and I will from sometime find even the most filthy pennies. I web search how to clean pennies that I find just to help with coin exchange. I might give this a try!
I used ketchup on an old antic trunk with brass fittings, I ended up still having rust spots. What should I use to get the last of it off?
Miracle Whip 😂
Dremel. Quickest way to polish and buff with the best results.
Acetone
Try copper pot cleaner. Ketchup is an acid, can also put ketchup on copper pans
Thanks🙂
I like to catch up at with the water, but instead of steel wool how about an eraser like on the end of a pencil and then one more thing was your coins wet, when you were ponies wet when you were using the steel wool?
I used ketchup and toothpaste mixed together and just used my thumb in swirl motion on the coin till the junk comes off and it starts to shine.
Would mustard and mayo work.too?
Nope just ketchup because of the vinegar added into it
No hay que hacer esos invento existen productos para limpiar el cobre y son eficases
Thank you so much because we was trying to clean coin because we was going be homeless.i was try to sale them ❤
Come on people don't mess up your coins. Wash them under hot water using rubber gloves and in circles on coins that is it.
I had made a past from salt lemon vinegar and flour and applied on an object for few hours i had lost the original shine.. 😭 What to do now please help
Try magic eraser
Not to change the subject but if you pull the stopper rod up the stopper is suppose to close down and seal the drain.....jc :-)
Would citrus acid & hot water work ?
I would think so!
Grabbing your coin collection with plyers and scrubbing them with steel wool is NOT something that will enhance your coins, but only destroy their intrinsic value!
The penny is worth 1 cent regardless of it’s condition.
@@CleanWithConfidence unless its collectible and able to be flipped
@@humanitarian-aquarian9083 true that. This is what you don’t do to collectible coins.
Check ✅ Does not seem to work
You had me until steel wool, tbh.
Just spend a little more time dabbing the coins with a medium soft paint brush instead, before rinsing and air drying on a towel.
Vinegar and salt heated up, will pickle them like new. Then buff them with a green Scots Brite pad.
Anyone ever tell this dude your not supposed to clean coins. 😢
If your looking to have your valuble collectors pennies preserved and graded properly avoid the recommendations in this video. In fact use this video as a guide to what NOT to do to your coins. NEVER use abrassive compounds or steel wool on any plated coins, pennies especially.
If your looking to clean your average circulated pocket change this will do the trick, better yet, vinegar and baking soda works just as well.
If you collect coins you should never clean a coin.
Hi
Hello!!!!
Maybe instead of adding try lemon juice .
good jop
thanks
Will it work on steel pennies
If you have a steel penny it's a fake!
Steel pennies were minted in 1943. The copper was needed for the war effort.
Flitz. That simple.
what about the ketchup / water combination makes this happen? like on a chemical level
@Free Spirit you’re hired!!!! Lol🙂 thanks for sharing!
@Free Spirit awesome thanks so much! never knew that about ketchup
Wait lets talk about how ketchup and what it does to the inside of our body ❤it anyway 😂
Ketchan has vinegar that is why is works,
You are correct
cause it has vinegar and salt in it
How much the value of old one peso coins 1972
you run a cleaning business (if I understood correctly) but you don't have gloves??
btw I love your videos:-)
Correct!! No I dont use gloves never liked them.
Any zcratches you made. I coin collect. This seems abrasive. Anyone?
Steel wool is bad. Lineman pliers is bad.
This guy is destroying value if they were collectibles
just make an orange juice.. and that's it..
Just use vinegar….
What if you left the pennies in ketchup for 24hrs would that help?
24 hours is way to long. About 20-23 hours is preferred
It's a mess,I used brasso
Why is it called a penny?
Your not into preservation your into shine . No way that 1909 S vdb will grade lol 😆 😂
Correct I’m not into preservation I’m into getting that penny clean!! All the nasty off
@@CleanWithConfidence If I am not collecting ; I have no use for a penny
@@katcihealer Yes but if you have 1 million pennies.....
Lol doesn't care if pennies are clean or not but makes a video on how to clean them 😅
Lol pretty much!😂
@@CleanWithConfidence its just funny have a good one
Vinegar and water dose better
Nice
drop in coca cola overnight
Tabasco Sauce works better
Why didn’t you address copper tubs? How to clean them. Pennies are about to be obsolete.
Just because I dont have any copper tubs to clean at the moment. But as soon as I do you can bet your bottom dollar there will be a video coming!!🙂
Some pennies are worth a lot of money
Hahhahahahhaha!
I hear viniger, salt, and some water works very quickly.
Brasso
🥴🥴🥴🥴
SALT AND VINEGAR SOAK OVERNIGHT AND USE TOOTHBRUSH.
boo
You can see that if a ketchup can remove the hard stains on a metal surface, what it can do to our internal systems when we consume it. 🤔🤔
You can see water rust metal…I wonder what it does to our insides when we consume it…
Being that our stomach is loaded with a powerful acid for breaking down food I highly doubt ketchup will wreck your internal organs in the long run. Coca-Cola and lemonade we consume all the time too.. I would be more concerned about the effects of acid on my teeth and what heavy sugar intake can do...
SO TRUE
