General Relativity to Quantum gravity (Intro for dummies?)

A brief introduction to Newtonian Gravity(or Gravity for dummies) ,General Relativity and Quantum gravity (Loop Quantum gravity).
The whole idea of general relativity is that matter influence spacetime curvature. Incorporating this into quantum field theory in curved spacetime results in a theory called semiclassical gravity.
If we allow energies to be of the order of the Planck energy, then even semiclassical gravity no longer applies. In fact, it is unable to give us any kind of prediction, since there is simply no way to use it to calculate anything at that energy. This is exactly the reason that we need quantum gravity.
