Hi, I'm looking to buy a UQ91 TV. Do these TVs have a 'wake up timer', so it can go from standyby to a TV channel, please? I have an existing Samsung that does, but their new ones don't,so this restricts which TV to buy next. Thanks.
great review mate,
I recently bought the 65qned91tpa Australia. its the 2021 model.
im trying to calibrate the settings for the best performance.
would you mind doing a run down of some of your settings
Nice looking tv interesting to see pricing compared to oled though if its worth the savings as oled is so good
Very underrated TV!
Thanks for your review on both inches. I'm stuck at choosing the LG QNED, Nanocell, or OLED for my X Series X and PS5 consoles.
A friend of mine just picked up the 65inch the other day and I was very very impressed with what I saw. His set had little to no dirty screen effect and the blooming was minimal at best. I will say this and that is if I didnt have my C1 I would be picking up the QNED 91 but I have been spoiled by OLED so going back to LED is a no go for me. But this is a very very impressive tv by LG. Great review!
Planning to get oled c1 if i have enough money this year. So the oled c1 is far more superior on picture quality ,high frame rate, dolby vision than qned 91? I'm planning to use it on netflix and next gen consoles.
It’s a great option if your room is prone to reflections and you can get a larger size for less money
@@crisjaviniar96 did you get the oled?
I just picked this up for £799 for the 65. Loads of TV for the money especially considering the 5year guarantee.
Congratulations on the review. This TV is designed for the new LG NEXTGEN TV ATSC 3.0 TV standard?
Is there a way to stop the screen looking mighty blurred or blooming from the side angles? Or is that just part of the mini led way of life? Thanks
Went from b9oled to qned91. tweaking the settings definitely improves the blooming but dse is atrocious. However, I can live with it as the Brightness compared to oled us outstanding!
This TV is 40% off right now and my old OLED is on its last legs. Tempting. Also, I don't know if I want another OLED to babysit and even then to replace it in another five years or so.
Picked up a 65 on half price. 👍
peak brightness in SDR and HDR? input lag time? inside and outside gamemode?
Will be interesting to see how this compares to the 2024 model. Thinking of getting the 75" 2024 version here in Australia.

So... how do you close running apps to improve proformance on this new webos? Like on lg cx and BX?
At 11:25 you said this tv doesn’t have the premium features of Free and G Sync.
According to the LG website, this TV DOES have FreeSync 👌🏻
Any difference between QNED91 SPA and QNED91SQA Other than that QA is 2022 model? Does the PA have precision pro?
How do you move tv channels in the edit function if connected to an outdoor Arial it is missing in the bottom right hand corner?
Is the QNED90 the US model? Wondering if its identical or if there are differences or not available in the US. Great reviews always. Nice work.
Yes it’s the same
What did you do with this 65inch not so good TV ? And are all sizes meant to look as clear as the 75inch HERE ???
Does this allow you to enable VRR and Dolby Vision at the same time?
how deep is the stand's footprint for the 75inch version?
so if i go buy one in the 65 or 75 inch QNED 91 will it have the dirty screen like this one ?
Great
Please include fifa in every gaming section.
The only thing that puts me off is the short power cable for wall mounting
Mine LG 65QNed91 had a very visible dirty screen effect and I returned:(
where is the link for DSE test?
how many dimming zones does the 65qned91 have?? I can`t find specs for it
Do any of these new LG smart tvs, make a small noise on the rear while is totally off? Normally? Great reviews 👍
I have QNED 91 and is completely silent when turned off. I returned a Samsung QN95A because of the noise making when turned off.
Both mine are silent
The OLED models at times as it’s doing a compensation cycle but it only lasts about 10 minutes. Obviously this doesn’t apply to their LCD models.
Then the LG C2 should not make any small noise at all, when the TV is completely off? Or its doing cycle? "fan" type of noise?
@@SirRome-tg1df If it’s not plugged in it won’t be doing a compensation cycle (something you shouldn’t do with an OLED on a regular basis), it’s more like clicking noises.
Thanks for this review. I can't decide on QNED or an OLED TV. I don't game, just have a 4k disc Player, streaming channels. So mostly used for movies, and TV, not a bright room, and one sofa is in front of TV parallel, the other sofa is 90 degrees to the TV. Thanks
then choose OLED or preferably QD OLED like Samsung S95B or, if you can afford it, Sony A90K.
I returned Samsung S95 OLED. Too flimsy and fragile. Got this tv for $600 open box 65". The construction is solid.
My HRD CONSTANTLY switches and has the HDR icon (top right) and the screen goes blank and flashes when it does - it can do this EVERY 10 seconds sometimes. How to I turn this off. Thanks anyone for your help.
I just got this tv ans its a 2021 model. Great picture BUT it has some, not a lot, but some light bleed at the corners which my old panasonic led tv did not have.
10:30 Seems like all the colours are different and the emblem on the robot has changed?? Any idea which is supposed to be the correct image?
All are correct the colours of the robots are random
Sir i have a question.
I want to buy a tv but i can not choose between this LG Qned and the Samsung QLED 65 inch.
Somebody have some advice for me please?
This tv or samsung q70 ?
Is this the 2022 model ?
I was interested in this but the DSE on the 65 inch has put me off. 75 is too big for my room. I will stick with Samsung.shame as I could have picked one up for a good price.
I'm already on the third Lg 86 qned91 and they all suffer from a severe dirty screen effect. It was quite cheap at less than €1000 but the DSE ruins the whole experience. I'm thinking of swapping for a 77 oled
This is good to read as was about to buy this at £1499 gbp
7:49 - dirty screen effect? I wanted 65" inch, but after this I don't know... All of the 65" has this defect?
But and about blooming of the Black bars?
Serious black crunch and dark detail loss going on on med/hi miniled settings, makes me wonder what even the point of it is.
I mean, i used LG IPSs for gaming PC and they are amazing for that role in well lit rooms, but for way less(2x-3x cheaper, that's the point of them), you get the same quality screen and no pointless miniled.
Can you do a video for the best PS5 settings?
Game mode.
Any Difference between 90 and 91?
How does it compare to the Samsung QLED TVs
Sam's input lag is significantly lower than EL Jee Qew Ned.
@@afistfulofpimples1745 is their Tizen os laggy anymore?
What would you buy out of this the Sony x90j or the Samsung q95td ?
Never buy x95td, thanks god that i can return it :-)
Quallity of ips panel on this tv is awfull :-)
I will probably pick this qned91 because i cannot pick c1 or oled806 because i am scared of oked due to watchbing news and i never want samsung again after experience with it... ips glow, bleeding, horribke dimming
Sony doesn’t even play 120hz properly, Samsung tizen OS is laggy a fuck and doesn’t even support Dolby Atmos
@@zureaiwhat do you mean sony doesnt play 120hz properly? I just picked up a A80j... so i am curious.
Should I get 86" QNED 91 which is heavily discounted or purchase 65" C1 OLED? Please help.
Absolutely. I think with that kind of size difference the bigger is just better.
Lol bro at that point it’s your preference. Nobody but you knows if you need oled or led tv. Or a 86” or a 65” .. smh ppl cannot think for themselves nowadays
Bu tv nin 65 ınç modeli aynı model ismi olarak geçmiyor sanırım?65 inç inin kodu nedir bilgi rica ediyorum.
Why review a 2021 LG QNED model?
The color depth is 10bit or 8bit + frc?
Anything with HDR10 is 10bit.
Is there a 55inch version?
Yes
I have 65 inch version of QNED 91 and I love it, but reflections are annoying me so much. I can see my whole room when it is a dark scene so I cannot see darks at all, which is not immersive at all annd very distracting. I think for this reason I am going to return it. However, I was blown away by the picture quality it has, it is very close to my fathers LG OLED. But the OLED has incredible reflection handling, which the QNED is very poor at.
What tf are you talking about? OLEDs are much worse at reflection handling, they're basically like a mirror lol.
@@cobraneagra10 that’s not true, check rtings, there you can compare qned with oled for reflection handling.
I wouldn't say it's a mirror, there's slight reflection but nothing that's off-putting.
I had the 65” model and for the most part the dimming scheme masked the IPS panel. Now as much as I liked it it’s not remotely close to having the light control of an OLED and every time and mean I every time a reviewer says a LCD has “almost” OLED like blacks they’re pulling your leg big time.
I did end up returning the QNED90 because of awful DSE. I wonder if the 75” models are less prone to DSE.
I wonder why LG is pushing the outgoing model so hard. This is the first I know of where a manufacturer is supplying reviewers with last year’s models just before the launch of the 2022 models.
It's because they have improved alot of things in the firmware and it appears to be much better than it was at launch. Just compare the early reviews to the recent ones and you can clearly see the image quality looks better. Hyping QNED now is to prepare for the launch of the 2022 models and judging from the review of the QNED85 by Classy tech, these new models are set to beat Samsung.
@@Dark-qx8rkwhat you banging on about 😂
One thing nobody ever mentions when reviewing tvs is the topic of image retention and screen burn in. With apps such as youtube and netflix with their stupid "hey!! Are you still watching this??" After only 3 episodes, keeping a still image on your screen for 12 hours while you sleep if you are someone that sleeps with a tv show on, this is something that should be mentioned more lol in saying this, how is this tv in terms of retention and burn in??
As a gamer on xbox series X i am currently looking to get a tv that supports dolby vision and even though i was looking at samsung's neo QLED apparently samsung never supports dolby vision so my next option was LG tvs and according to online articles LG dont have many QLED options and their QNED was the equivalent to QLED which led me to look at this option. So does this tv support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos sound or Dolby trusurround or whatever it is called nowadays.
Also you mentioned getting the model 1 step up from this for more gaming features like gsync and what not. Which tv model has freesync and gsync for those of us not as tech knowledgeable??
And in terms of the whole QLED/QNED topic can you clarify if this tv is better or worse or same as QLED or better or worse or same than OLED for those of us that dont know the differences??
I have been stuck on my outdated 55 inch philips smart tv for years and as someone who finally got the xbox series X last month i can finally upgrade to a 4K tv now that i can afford to and so far this tv has checked alot of my requirements off my checklist but i am looking to get a tv that can 100% my checklist so hopefully you can answer these questions.
Are these 2022 models?

What is the geographic distribution of your viewers because I have no idea what a kilo is?
bruh, americans.
Then learn, it’s useful once you go past the bonderies, promise :)
@@yuan-jia Thanks for your suggestion and your heartfelt promise, as well as the holier-than-thou tone.. My point was that the content match the audience; i.e., if your audience is 80% American, then present the data in a format that will be readily understood by 80% of the audience. So, I think it was valid to inquire about the makeup of the audience.
@@richdon8384 i was rather sarcastic tbh, but you might as well be aware that the world is made for americans already, so when every now and the something is using international system units and an american says it looks odd it’s a bit funny 🥲 not trying to guess what’s the marketing strat of the youtuber otherwise
@@yuan-jia Ok. Understand. But you should know that the statement that I have no idea what a kilo is was humor by exaggeration. And I was only asking who his audience is. But, at any rate, peace out, my friend...
The TV shows that you have to be careful about how you can get your TV 📺 and concerns and we will turn the TV on
65 inches of this model seems to have very bad DSE.
It can be a lottery and always worth checking
If you going to pay your hard earn cash for TVs the manufacturers need to make sure every tv is perfect no side affects
@@neiltaylor6645 Sadly in my country it's worse since returning isn't an option and LG seems to be not considering this an issue to even provide replacement.
@@deepakjgb hey can you tell me what is your country... Cause i want to buy one but i afraid about returning policy
The colours do appear over-saturated.
No 55 or 50 inches from LG QNED TV. 👎
PSA:
Don't buy this TV. It's local dimming is absolute garbage. Even the Netflix buffering circle has blooming.
Blooming everywhere. Someone walking around a dark room? You gonna have blooming like their radioactive!
I bought it and returned it after 1 day of use. For an expensive TV the panel quality is awful. Buying this TV has made me question how it's getting good reviews anywhere.
Thanks mate. Was considering this tv but struggling to balance fear of burn in and cost of OLED with blooming and shit OS of QNED.
@@wademyers2146 Glad I helped. Go with OLED
@@sholmesbrown What happen if compare the price for 75 inch of both tv, Which one is more value
